On Radio he was fan-tastic - at least until the early 1970s - then TV really ruined him and somehow he was never as good. Stuff like Captain Kremmen would have made a great 30 second sktech to use as music linking, but as a series..... just got tedious. Never reckoned him on TV really - too crude and a lot of his comedy was far better imagined than visualised. T
