Yep! I loved her character in this series she was so awesome!!! & It was great when she finally found out abt who Dexter really was she didn't turn him in bc she loved him that much & did not want him in prison for the rest of his life or the death penalty. In the end she came to finally accepting him for who he was! I mean it ended up getting her killed bc Dexter tried doing the right thing for once & just handing the killer over to the police & it bit him in the a*ss. Sad honestly.... But I loved Deb so much especially bc her vocabulary was mainly f words lmao that just made her more great tbh 😂😂
@@benxitohate that writers constantly go that route. Sure, sometimes girls do stab each other in the back, but not always. I’ve had plenty of female coworkers that have had my back & vice versa.
The amount of hate for Deb in these comments is shameful, you would all be on Dexter table. She was amazing, strong-willed, and determined. She inspired me so much growing up.
Those people should read the novels then. THERE, Debra is insufferable and at her worst in 2 final novels (Dexter's Final Cut and Dexter is Dead). In the TV show, not only Debra Morgan is written better but very well portrayed by Jennifer Carpenter; my only complaints were I feel Debra and Dexter didn't spend enough time together, that "incest arc" in season 6, and killing Debra in Season 8's ending.
Fr! Like, I can accept that she died I guess. (barely) But I can absolutely not accept her going brain dead, and getting killed off by her brother! Her character deserved so much better. 😢
@@Bambimoon Maybe the way it was executed... I think by it being off screen was disrespectful to the character... Maybe as Dexter was talking to her, things go bad... But it happening off screen was a let down. However, I think Dexter pulling the plug was exactly what needed to happen if Deb was going to die in the end. It was heartbreaking, because she was the one person Dexter said he could never kill or hurt in anyway. It calls back to conversation they had about being in this position. She told him to pull the plug, so that is what he did.. But he also decided that he was also going to end his life.. whether out of guilt, or feeling like he could not go on.. @@jamillajohnson6108 yeah, I do remember that one scene when the older lady isn’t doing well. Deb does say she would want him to pull the plug, so I guess it does make sense.
The sibling love between Dexter and Debra is as touching, compelling, and tragic as any actual love story I've ever seen. I was so sad for Deb in the final episode of Season 8 😭
I don’t understand how people hate deb. She’s needy because Dexter is the only person she has. He killed his brother for her wow that means nothing when u look at it from dexters perspective he has no emotions the only reason he cared about Brian is because Dexter is desperate for people to understand him. She acted annoying when she found out he was a serial killer 🤦🏾♀️ someone you have known all your life kills people for a living not matter if the reason is valid or not your going to look at them differently especially if you have seen them as innocent your whole life. People want only Dexter to be a serial killer which has never been the show without deb Dexter wouldn’t be the person he is.
I think she did, even though it was never explicitly mentioned. ChatGPT has this to say (take it with a grain of salt; we all know it spits BS from time to time): Yes, in the TV series "Dexter," Debra Morgan (Deb) eventually learns that her brother Dexter killed his own brother, Brian Moser (also known as the Ice Truck Killer), to save her. This revelation occurs in Season 6. Deb has a series of therapy sessions that lead her to realize she has feelings for Dexter. During this time, she also experiences flashbacks and memories that bring up various aspects of their relationship. In the season finale of Season 6, titled "This is the Way the World Ends," Deb catches Dexter in the act of killing Travis Marshall. This discovery leads to her learning more about Dexter's secret life as a vigilante serial killer. Eventually, she also comes to understand the extent of Dexter's actions, including the fact that he killed Brian to protect her.
Dexter would've been a truly formidable criminal profiler. It's suspicious on it's own that he's so intuitive with serial murder, he should've changed career paths.
I know people hate the last season but I actually liked it. But killing Deb, that was the worst thing they could've possibly done. And for what, for a crappy sequel? This show doesn't work without Deb.
Easily The worst "Detective" on the show lmao i know everyone fan girls her but IRl she would have been destroyed by I.A. for all her antics. She is way too emotional, Cant take even an ounce of Criticism, She was a huge Hypocrite she broke a plethora ofLaw Enforcement standards and she let a Serial Killer slip under her Radar. oh and She was screwing what she thought was a C.I. the list goes on and on yes she had decent Detective skills but jesus christ she had a Complex. Her catchphrase shoulda been " yea but what about what you did"
remember gents - if any girl hits you - hit back. overall Debra is weak char - vulgar - also uses one of tropes that most women use - wants something -> didn't convince someone - > wait for beta to melt -> wait in silence -> beta melts and does what she want. Don't do that gents
Can't stand Debra. She's too erratic, too vulgar and too needy. I love the show but each time she's on a scene I have fast forward. Same with Rita😂OMG another poorly written character. Dexter would of been better with a casual love interest vs the whole commitment crap. Just my opinion 😊
Did you watch the show and follow the story and character development? Deb was like that due to her Mom dying when she was young and then Dexter essentially took her Dad away. Rita was "broken" from the abuse and drugs. Dexter chose her due to those flaws because he wanted to keep it casual for his cover. Eventually, he realized everyone was flawed or "broken" in some way and having someone care for you, faults and all, can fill some of that emptiness.
God I love her performance in this series. And every role she plays. She is truly the consummate talent.
Yes!
She kept getting better and more beautiful with every season.

Deb was the best tomboy cop I've ever seen on TV. Pure marriage material.
I guess you like dudes
Female marriage material doesn't become a cop, lesbians excluded.
She is not tomboy…
yeah she kinda sorta is
except for the fact she literally slept with everyone...
everyone
Maria was so threatened by her.

For no reason, too.
Because Deb was outgoing and willing to go outside of protocol to get shit done and question shit the average cop wouldn't

The incest arc... as if the writers were stoned, drunk, and hit in the face by Mike Tyson while writing that script.
Holy mother of God, that was dumb
Typical misogynist bullshit in the comments
She almost cried every time she spoke. Shitty actress. You're gay. Dexter's table is fake. Like your soul. Dork

Her actress is amazing, felt so real

i hated season 8, dexter turned more human, and that lead to him listening to others around him. which ended up leading to deb's death
"Pretty fucking please with cheese on top" has now been added to my vocabulary 👌
A compilation of Debra's greatest moments and it's only 20 minutes long?
Put some respeck on Debra's name. This should be an hour long, at least.
Make your own video
This compilation could be an hour long
It is missing all moments when she is cursing, that it at least 3 to 4 hours of debra footage 🤓.
I started watching Dexter and continued it due to Debra, I wish she had a peaceful ending 😥

Killing Deb off was one of this show’s biggest mistakes.
