Thank you for this! I was looking all over for a cheap cover for my discbound half letter planner but they were all more than I wanted to spend. I wanted a cover that wasn’t bulky and would contain my pages/hold everything together when I threw it in my bag while I’m out. They are all so expensive and not exactly what I wanted anyway. I make my own covers laminating cute papers and cards stocks but I worry about that getting scuffed up somehow or something and want it to have some sort of closure. The folders with the elastic closure are PERFECT and this is so inexpensive. Thank you!

I love this. I recently got a skinny planner that I use for grocery lists and it goes in my purse. I wanted to make a travelers notebook cover for it, this is better. Thanks for the great idea and tutorial. I have been waiting to see your tutorial on how to make a planner cover ever since I saw your fall cover you said you made.

This is perhaps one of the best diys for planners out there and the only one I've seen so far on the topic. I will say, the combo of dark surface and dark cover material made it hard to see, though. I also wonder, what do you use for a half letter or classic size? Do you still use the envelope storage folder? Or is there something else that is larger? Thank you for sharing your information. 🙂

I recently got a cover for my Classic HP but due to living in the UK 🇬🇧 the postage from USA 🇺🇸 was half the price of the actual cover, which I can’t afford all the time! I love your idea as it’s a lot more practical and within my budget. Could the plastic liners be cut on a Cricut or Silhouette and be used to make acetate covers for shaker cards? TFS ❤

A lil late to game but I use the insides of those organizers for diy sticker paper. I’m such a “use it don’t throw it” girl lol. Great tutorial.

I have made these for every size from Mini to Big...only one I haven't tried is micro.
If you take the middle pockets out can you make it into a wrap around planner holder?

I have gotten several at Walmart, it's been a while but I'm pretty sure they were less than $5 - don't give up!
Just wondering if you can use the inside plastic, attach a note sheet (decorate it as you choose)and laminate it, maybe that can work in the planner.
That plastic is thin enough - I bet that would work - like a dashboard or bookmark or dry erase board! Great idea, I'll have to try it next time!
You can sharpen the blade by stabbing it into a ball of aluminum foil. You don't need to replace them as often as you think
I've heard that about the punches too, I'm skeptical, will have to try it!
It won't sharpen the blade because you can't sharpen steel with aluminium, but it will clean goop off the blade.

You need to snag one of the CropADile Powet punches - it goes through anything like butter!

I know this comment is around a year later but I found a bunch of different sized file folder out when they have back to school sales
I used the inside to organize my underwear drawer.
