Bless me Father Chuck for I have sinned. It’s been 10 days since the last drive in my Corvette.
Thank you SO MUCH Rick!!! I love everything today but seeing MY PDR is AMAZING!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!🥰🥰🥰❤❤💙
Father Chuck and Santa Chuck what a great time on tech Tuesday Rick, good job guys!!!
Had a garage of vettes.....sold them, purchased a garage full of Porsche now. Good luck on parts, cars, and continued resolution for strike. Only ones at the table for progress is Ford. Lady GM boss needs her 29M per year. Crazy times for sure. Rick, will purchase my next vette based on when you settle this crazy world and bring back the worm. If only for a bit. Step up as a good Italian for the family (Corvette) and do what is right. My list continues to grow on everything that has occurred since you shaved. Back to drinking heavy.
Which Porsche models do you own?
My wife and I keep waffling on whether to purchase a Porsche (either 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 manual or 911 Carrera T) or a 2024 C8 Z51 Corvette.
The whole reason I started this new car endeavor was the fact that I miss having a V8. I had an 11 second 1968 Mustang in high school. She cost me four girlfriends, two and a half jobs and a copious amount of money, and I miss her dearly.
FWIW, I used to work for the Penske Ferrari conglomerate which is where my love of Porsche's began. Now that we are in a position to do so, I find myself stuck between a rock and a hard spot as the old saying goes.
Nevertheless, I surmise I will enjoy either car and hope to eventually have a Porsche parked next to my C8 in an ideal world.
Stay classy my friend.
@@BertShackleford Hello, we have a 911 Carrera T and a 718 GTS ......either one is a great vehicle and performance. The 911 is my wife's dream car and I would say I would recommend as it is truely the bedrock of Porsche racing, history and precision. Pull the trigger and enjoy - lots of great colors and options is you purchase and spec.
Hi Rick, I have 2022 C8,Z51 Convertible. Is there anything I can spray on the brakes so they do not show rust, after washing I take a little ride , but it would be nice if there was something for that. Watch your show every time Thanks for all you guys do for us👍❤️
Thanks guys
I so look forward to Tech Tuesday
thank-you
That buzz sounded more like a radio ground noise issue
thanks for the tip!
Rick and Father Chuck, thanks again for another great Tech Tuesday. I missed not having one last week, but you made up for this week! Thanks for all you do for the Corvette Community!
Rick and Chuck, I just attended the Ron Fellowes c8 driving school three weeks ago. Certainly echo all others who say it's the best,it is. However our lead instructor answered a question about use of track mode. He was very emphatic that gm engineers told them to only use it when truly running on a track ,doing track driving. He said it can lead to damage to certain parts if you don't.
Great feedback and thanks for sharing , that’s what I tell my clients , track is for the track
Glad to see you in a better mood. 😊
hard when you are beat up every day, every call every text every email, people want me to make stuff up and I wont !
Hi Rick,
Thanks for coming out to our Corvette show in Connecticut. It was great to meet you!
Thanks so much your show highlights on Sunday
Watch out Chuck, I’m coming for ya 😅 I look like I know what I’m doing! 🙌
Ready for my Tech Tuesday, Thanks Chuck and Ricky.
Another great Tech Tuesday from Rick and Chuck. I do miss Father Chuck. I think it is time for his return. I am sure that Rick's pit crew might not have been as beautiful. I am just guessing. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the helpful information Chuck I'm Rick
My 2015 stingray with adrenaline red interior had to have the bolster replaced twice and it's wherever it again so I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not going to let it sit.
Always fun to see the 2 of you having fun and laughing.. Keep it up !!
Driving back to Indiana from Memphis, we saw three haulers heading west loaded with new Corvettes. They are shipping.
Let's go. Looking forward to Tech Tuesday. BTW my Rapid blue 2.0 is getting built Thursday morning!
thanks and congrats!
Congratulations!
Always helpful information. Assuming the 24’s being ordered will not include the Eray until the strike is over. You and Chuck provide the information in a down to earth way that helps us remember the information. Keep it up. Still anxiously awaiting your call to order my Eray when all the uncertainty settles down.
Great show.
I hit the like before the video hits Rick.
cool, thanks!
Rick and Chuck,
Always enjoyable Tech Tuesday and those amazing rides! 🥇👍🏼🏁🎥🎬
Those brake cooling scoops i heard should not be used on the street due to potential scoop damage. Is this true?
yes they could, fire basically
16:22 I suppose you could cut out a hole to access the DCT filter and then screw on a small sheet metal cover to cover the hole is getting debris up in there is an issue.
I'm at 3400 status with a TPW of 9/18. Car should have been built last week but status is still at 3400. Hopefully I will see it soon. Thanks for the videos Rick.
As always, great information guys!
Mr. Conti and Chuck a great Tech Tuesdays vlog as always!! You guys are fantastic!!! Rick,,Stop Dreaming and Start Driving sir!!!👍🏽
Will you be naming your trailer? Maybe a contest? You might have to bring Prince outfit out!
🤣🤣🤣no but it has a custom vanity plate
Yes, but that’s what is in it. Little Blue? You are too creative to not name trailer. Timmy the Trailer? Ask Chuck for an idea! What was the Sanford and Son you could call it Sanford if that was name. Oh well I liked that glimpse we got of it today! Check those tires!
@@RickCorvetteContiI do love the plate! Looking forward to wrap or whatever. You should put your racing number on top like a police car.
Thanks Rick. Informative video as always. Do you know if the total of Corvettes built for the 2023 model year eclipsed the total of 53,807 built during the 1979 model year?
they did, we mentioned it before, but will do a full video on this soon...waiting on GM to publish details
Hi Rick and Chuck! First girl here!!❤❤❤😊😊😊
did you see your drive in the rides segment (wink)
OMG RICK!!!
Thank you so much!!!
I saw it and screamed! Scared my dog! Lol Can't wait for the Triple Nickle!!
Chuck,
The number you gave for your Corvette Service Advisor, Scott was different than the number shown in the video? Which one is correct?
Let’s all of us not show up for work until we get a 40% raise and also only work 4 days a week but demand we get paid for 5.
Sounds rational, right? (Democrat logic)
21:42 mark.
Follow up if I may: You say, _"don't drive at constant speeds..."._
What do you mean by this statement?
Twice a week I have to drive my wife to the office approximately 20 miles each way as I am the only driver in our household. The majority of the trip (90%) is on the freeway. That's roughly 80 miles in one day, twice a week, every week for the foreseeable future.
How would one go about the break-in process when we are not supposed to drive at constant speeds?
I don't know about you, but I'm not dancing the tachometer around while I'm driving on the freeway or even the streets for that matter. Furthermore, I am sure as heck, not going to be revving my motor at a stop light just to fluctuate the RPM's.
This protocol has me perplexed to say the least. Any and all clarification would be greatly appreciated gents.
Stay classy my friends.
I knowChuck read these at his leisure. I have a quick question while running my 2023 Corvette in Z mode about three different times now, I noticed a burning smell after about 15 mins or so coming from the engine area. I'm not drving the vehicle hard by any means. I have about 4,000 miles. Has anyone else experienced this?
👍👍👍☕
Are ERAY orders going in yet
Corvette with a trailer..... come on!!!!! :(
Oh yes and it works on so many levels stay tuned
How is bowling green not affected they are union workers right
Not all plants are down but they are starting to feel the parts squeeze
Yes you guys can be a smart $ss and you Rick are whiner at times. (LOL) but Chuck was smooth with the phone timer going off. Timer goes off Chuck turns it off and slides it back in the pocket like nothing happen. Good show again today.
I am at 3000 right now how close am I do you think I’m getting my car built
A while especially because of the parts issues and strike or else the it would be within 5 weeks or so
The number on the screen and the number that Chuck mentioned did not match. ???
we noted it in description and first comment in this section, number on screen is correct Chuck read it wrong
There was a different number that came up from what chuck had said for scott you may want to confirm rick
yes, sorry NUMBER ON SCREEN is the correct one, he read it wrong!
