A great interpretation of Daniel 11 - the best that I have heard. One point that Mr. McNulty should be aware of (if someone knows him they should share this info. With him. The only way I know how to contact him is through his doctor's office, which I have refrained from doing) is that the reason that Napoleon didn't capture the Pope himself in 1798 and sent Berthier (Daniel 11:40) is that Napoleon was busy capturing Egypt (becoming the "King of the South", the King of the South is not just one person but a series of Atheistic,secular Kings). Napoleon considered Egypt to be the epicenter of the Western World. Napoleon thought that conquering Egypt was more important than capturing the Pope or else he would have captured the Pope personally. (I subscribe to Mcnulty's comments; my comments are intended to add more information/clarity) Daniel 11 appears to have both a literal, historic interpretation as well as a spiritual interpretation. For example, Napoleon was literally the King of Egypt at the "time of the end" as well as the leader of Secular Atheism.

Actually, Daniel 11 verses 36 through 39 speak about France and primarily the events connected with the French Revolution,..bringing us to the clash of the Papacy and France in 1798. Revelation 11 corroborates this idea,..and it specifically identifies France as spiritually being called Sodom and Egypt,..towards the end of the 1260 years. One can notice the correction to the understanding of "When they shall have finished their testimony--Revelation 11:7" which EGW makes clear that "When they are finishing---the Great Controversy, p 269"...hence Gabriel's reference to the continued activity of the Papacy to the time of the End,..while he speaks about The french Revolution bringing us to 1798. Furthermore, if one considers the events described in Daniel 11 verses 33 and 34,..they actually describe persecutions that occurred during the period of the Reformation across the Western World. The historical timeline is clear and follows through to the resurrection of the Papacy. It should also be noticed that France comes in Prophecy specifically through the French Revolution and the Bible does not consider much of its activities thereafter.

It appears in history that Egypt wasn't atheist. they believed in a god (gods for that matter). interesting
