What a concise and honest reaction. I love seeing people who love and appreciate music and get INXS. They often are not given credit for their musicianship. They were a truly great band.💗
Great song, great album. INXS had several members who did double duty on several instruments. Kirk Pengilly is the saxophone player..also did backing vocals, rhythm and sometimes a few lead parts on guitar. Andy Ferris is another multitasking member. Keyboards, guitars, harmonica, backing vocals and along with Michael Hutchence, the primary song writer. Michael wrote some really deep lyrics. He was very talented not only as a singer but a songwriter as well. I agree with everything you said. Unfortunately it feels like we only had INXS on top of the world for a short time. The truth is that they were on top of their game for a good 7-8 years. Not long enough and I can only imagine how much more they had the ability to contribute to music if not for the tragic loss of Michael. Some bands can replace lead singers but not INXS. Michael was much more than just a singer. He was the very essence of that band in a lot of ways. I really appreciate your reviews of them. Spot on.
This song was written by Andrew Farris, the keyboardist of INXS, as a tribute to the birth of his daughter at the time. The song was also used in the US by a campaign to help raise awareness for Anorexia.
Sumptous melody, with a dash of saxaphone in it . Mike Hutchence voice was coolness personified. Lastly , my favourite INXS track .Thanks for sharing🙏🏾
Great reaction there are other great Australian bands you should try Cold Chisel ' forever now ' ( but they have many great songs And try Split Enz ' message to my girl ' 🙏
