They're stupid for not adding a removable hardtop & windshield & a few other mods. So it could actually be used as a daily driver = more practical = more incentive to buy one. To save money on gas and cost of a new car. If a 🛵 scooter,motorcycle or car company built something similar. They could sell a ton= reliable, low cost, fun to drive, practical commuter, 70+ mpgs.

Children's pedal cars aren't generally classed as velomobiles, although, depending on the drive train, they may have a lot in common. Recumbent 'Delta' tricycles and velomobiles usually have front wheels positioned further back.
There is though Morgan discontinued the version we saw built because S&S discontinued building the engines... I think they just release a new one but its powered by a watercooled engine now

Small leather seat with backrest that cannot be adjusted, no headrest, open air with no roof, no air conditioning, smaller windshield than the infotainment screen on your economy car is luxury to you? Don’t forget about having to do the moving work of pedalling yourself and not having an engine to do it for you.
Velocars were popular in the late 1940s, but they died off as proper cars gained popularity. The main issue with them is that you're way down low and can't be seen by Karen in her SUV, so she drives right over you.

Electrically assisted recumbent tricycles exist. Depending on the drive train (and the local laws) it might be possible to alter one of these pedal cars.
