Actually Luke himself did want some revenge on Tear for razzing him once or twice early in the game.... much like Jade did with him thus his enjoying Luke's own plight once Tear turned him down hard in Tataroo Valley. Besides, even though Tear is constantly teased for being Luke's future wife by the others.... she really doesn't mind at all.
