Nice. Struggling with a similar scenario at my company. Our monolith is a cause for great stress for me every week. There are constant outages of our deployment pipeline that block some 400 engineers from being able to deploy changes because one bad commit went out. There was also this obsession for the past 15 years with reinventing the wheel by building custom web frameworks, and custom tooling and libraries that frankly could have just been grabbed off the shelf. The tech debt is insurmountable and we are currently experiencing this inflection point stage the one guy mentioned since the business is not hitting their customer acquisition targets.
