Brilliant timing Joe - first the wonderful print of my 25 that you produced arrives and an hour or so later you publish a tutorial on how to do a job I need to do on it. Top man!👍
Great Video Joe 😊 thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial. I wasn't even aware it was lit up by a bulb. I assumed it was the display that changed from bright to dim ! 😅
yeah they are a common thing on these they love to blow bulbs it seems. Im hoping that when i can afford to, im gonna wire in a Rover R770 Cassette Player with the Radio Display to replace the clock, Ill then fit a 6 CD Autochanger so that will be a nice upgrade :)
You're lucky you have a Lucas made clock. My 2003 is some other cheaper brand and those stop working or become pixelated. I had to have mine fixed by a kind chap in the 200 coupe owners club. The screws are a pain and a magnetic screwdriver is your friend. Great video.
Hello. I've seen a few of your videos and you have done some work on R8's too. Is there a solution for my clock ('92 416 gsi) - it's dimming and reseting itself constantly. Is there any basic fix or should I take it to some electrician / electronics repairman? Regards from Slovenia!
I Do Recommend Some Magnetic Screwdrivers to do this Job as it can make life a bit more Easier. It seems that i like to do things the hard way...

Question is Joe, did have the pointy shoes on to help with the repair ?
Of course, it’s the only thing that gives me luck 🤣
Noticed the circuit board was manufactured by Lucas. And you know what they say about Lucas?
Great job Joe, well done!
The Prince of Darkness! - Cheers
Frederick :)
A very small bit of bluetack on tip of screwdriver usually does the job when befitting the screws( especially the consul facial on Rover 45)

I have the same issue with my Rover 200 Clock, im yet to look at it however i think it could be the screen at fault.
