  • Come with me to visit all four Edgar Allan Poe house museums on the Eastern Seaboard in Richmond, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York City, New York. Along the way we'll learn about Poe and his writing with help from Sharon Pajka, the author of The Souls Close to Edgar Allan Poe.

20:23 This is a beautifully-produced video. However, I have concluded, after over a decade of research, that Poe did not write "The Raven." In fact, I have concluded from overwhelming evidence that his claim to authorship was merely a brazen public scam. I believe that the real author had been Mathew Franklin Whittier, the younger brother of Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier, who wrote it based on real-life circumstances and a real-life event in his life, in December of 1841.
