I forgot this song existed and just started crying from the nostalgia.
My interpretation:
A lonely, sad boy has gotten used to his way of life. He's grown apathetic. A young girl reaches out to him, and he reluctantly complies to a partnership. This girl pretends to be happy, however, she blames and hates herself inside. The boy notices that he cares about this girl, but likes keeping to himself. However, this girl forces him to break out of his shell and try to help her. The two of them grow a relationship out of their shared loneliness and selfishness. He is heartbroken when she tries to leave, and he tells her to forget the past and smile. He manages to convince her to do this and she feels better in his embrace, now that he has illuminated her life.

I'm gonna say it. So I just started the anime takt.Op Destiny and the main characters right away reminded me of the two in this MV and I can't unsee it. XD I don't know if this was intentional or not but this is one of my favorite songs from ryo. So I found it kinda cool :^)
