Good question. RPG Maker MZ only allows one instance of any type of vehicle to exist in the world. So, when the ship is placed on the map, it's actually moved from where it was to where you are. My personal head-canon is that they are reclaimed by pirates for being an abandoned.
@@SimGamerTV OK, tood to know. That is something I am going to have to reprogram when i get into my game. There needs to be more than one vehicle. Even in your game there should be. You should be able to have a Horse, a Skiff, Ships, and the Airship.
@@SimGamerTV I recall in U3 being able to collect pirate ships, such that at one time, I built a bridge between two islands with them. Seriously though, I plan to hunt down that piece of code, or lack thereof, that limits the game to one vehicle and fix it.
I'm a little confused about something. What keeps happening to all of the ships you have had in the past and left on various shorelines???

The skiff was actually only introduced in Ultima 5. I brought it forward to U4 because it made sense and was easy to make it available.
