+Limoxide I think, while Pinkerton is unquestionably their strongest album, Rivers very much went for an 'I don't give a fuck' approach to the production and singing on the record. Like he sounds drunk for parts of this song. The lyrics don't scan, he misses notes, he's way too close to the microphone but it just adds to that glorious fucking chaotic mess that is Pinkerton. It's inspired. For instance, listen to the a capella version of Buddy Holly from the Blue Album - his voice is *perfect*. I think this is a stylistic choice
+Gabriel Power true but i think they mean that rivers doesnt have an insanely talented Adele voice or something yet weezer is a pretty successful amazing bands
We all know Rivers was suffering from sexual frustration but he was probably drunk when he sang this, lol.
He said that he hates drinking
@@exotictrap_ He drank a lot Pinkerton era though?
This makes me feel better about my singing, because it lets me know that singing sounds a lot veter with instruments, not that this is bad

in my opinion i like Rivers voice more than adele's voice
@@GabrielPowerfulthis is definitely a different take than the album-version; this sounds like a first-take.
imagine the fun they had recording this
I like the little laugh rivers did
What time?
2:34 around there
where the hell did you find such a high quality sounding audio of these vocals it's amazing and my favorite video on youtube
Probably a rythm game like Guitar Hero or Rock Band
Rock Band stems! They're floating around online.
Technically it's a different take, but yes, Rock Band stems
Some sections of this are definitely from different recordings, especially apparent with the "come down on the street" line
Its the same but in the music video you can barely hear it.
It’s a different vocal take. It’s the same on Rock Band, too
@@kp5602 It's an alternate take
I love his voice so much
I love how they all join together during the chorus
Audio cuts off at the best part at 2:14
That's backing so it's not here
i’m so uncomfortable
uncomfortably numb
Not if you have a bad self esteem about your singing voice and take comfort in this, lol.
2:54 yikes
that jacking around omg i'm about to cry. oh the 90s i love you now that you're gone
'come down on the street'
Damn he hit that "I ASKED"
This is very interesting because it’s different from the take on the album
