I think that was a wonderful shade of blue, anything to vibrant just doesn't look realistic, that looks like it may have once been brighter, but time has done it's thing and makes it feel more lived in and welcoming
Great tutorial! I might make two for the inside of my dollhouse, though the doorway is arched so I need to figure that out but love the wood handle technique. X
Bevelling the edges is the word your looking for. Nice door btw! I subscribed because you explain everything really well. Thank You, I prefer when people show the method like You, but don't stick rigidly to measurements as I want to make it smaller and it really helps.
Thank you so much for showing me how to do a door. Now my next project I need is how to do hinges that work so I have a working door. Do you happen to have a video on that?
I think you did an excellent job, I wouldn't have believed this was your first talking video if you hadn't mentioned it. Well done, I have subscribed and gave you a like, I'll have to watch your previous videos.
I'm so glad you liked the video! All the doors in my area have the locks over the handle, so I based it around that. I did google "front door" when I read your comment and I got results for both versions, so it seems to depend on where you live :) The good thing is that it's easy to swap places for the handle and lock on the project so you can customise it to your own liking. Thank you for the comment :)
Yah! I thought you forgot about us. So glad you're back. This is a great tutorial. The instructions and your voice are very good. I'd love to see more frequent tutorials. Are you making the furniture pieces to fill a dollhouse? I mean you made a door, do you plan to attach it to a wall at some point? I actually like the color. You could always distress it to deepen the color or add gloss etc. But, it's a really pretty color.
Thank you! I have a few new videos coming up in the next couple of weeks! At some point I would really like to build a dollhouse from scratch but I don't have the space for it at the moment. But we will see if my need to build it eventually overcomes the fact that I don't have anywhere to store it.
I personally would avoid doing that as you could damage the wood by either pulling up fragments of wood when you remove it or leave behind glue residue on the surface.
Now build one in HO scale. That would make the door about an inch tall. Then make a window with the panes and glass. Then build a house 2 inches tall, completely framed and sided and add the windows. See......Model railroading wooden structures. You might like this....it's fun.
Hello! I just found out about you and your amazing work! I have to do a project for uni and trying to find a cheaper option for my miniature windows and doors, I decided to use plywood, just like you did. My question is... how thin should I order my plywood.. can I do the same door using 3 mm birch wood ply?Thank you very much!
Hi! I use Balsa wood in my projects (you could also use bass wood). I don't really work with plywood so I can't really give a lot of advise there, but from what i remember from working with it in wood-shop as a kid (😅) I remember it splintering a lot. So unfortunately its probably not something I would use based on what I remember from past experiences. But that could just be that they got really low quality stuff for a school wood-shop. If you decide to go for something else, balsa wood is cheap and easy to work with!
This is one of the simplest and easy to follow door tutorials Ive come across, awesome thanks!

Great job. Beautiful door. Your voice is fine, I prefer to hear the voices on tutorials than just music. It's more personal. Cheers Robyn ❤😊

beautiful door - I would love to see a “stained glass” insert in the top of one! Thanks for sharing!
I've been thinking about making one! Or possibly a stained glass window!
@@Craftish I've seen some really clever stained glass windows. Or Tiffany style lamps. With nail polish, or tinted glue for the colors
I love this. And its so simple!!!! Great job!!
Loved this door! Great detail on the door and instructions. The handle was a nice touch. Keep them coming.😊
Aside from the lock being upside down (at least the mine all have the keyhole under the knob) it looks perfect. Great job, very good technique :)
Where are you from? This is normal
@@jessiecatmeow419 from Earth where the door locks are like this:

Gorgeous! Thanks for all the details!
I’m shocked how amazing this looks and how creative you were creating this, materials, construction and tools used. Wow! 🤯🤩❤Love it, great job!
So amazing 😍
Please can you tell what is the thickness of 3 pieces of wood that you used ?!
Gracias, muy realista y bonito
What a great video. Any chance of another miniature door tutorial, but one with window panels.
I'll see what I can do! :)
@@Craftish Thankyou

@@Craftish you could make a room box to start. Maybe a standard size so you could add to it later, either stack rooms or put side by side
Hi, thanks for the great video,
can you please tell me how thick those three pieces of wood are?
gracias muy bonita puerta a mi me gusto
Very well tutorial and very well put together. Please make another door
Well done tutorial!
Pretty cool
beautifully done.
please let us have the measurements.
Great
You did a very good 'talking video. I'd love to see what other style door you would like to show us how to make. I really like your channel.
Use a gluestick to put your paper template on the wood. It will be easy to remove the paper.
I personally would avoid doing that as you could damage the wood by either pulling up fragments of wood when you remove it or leave behind glue residue on the surface.
Very clever and easy, thanks!
Good Job girlfriend! I will be following your videos for more tutorials. Keep up the good work and you will go far. I needed a good door.
Missed you and the inspiration!
This was a Super cool tutorial
Good job and good luck in the future!

I thought you did a great job with the narration thank you 😊
Very neat, simple tutorial--thanks!

Beautiful job ❤️. The handle look upside to me, byť that's probably becouse here in Slovakia, we have always key holes under the handle. 😉

Love your project!!!
Very cool! 👏🏻

Please make a separate video of all the different attachments and not the door....since that part is covered...
Just subscribed very good videos, can you tell me the dimensions of the door please?
Would like to know how you can put it in your dollhouse. How do you make it moveable in there?

Where to get this wood in different thickness?
What's it called?
I’d put handle on the other side of door ☺️
This is perfect because I like making room boxes. I need false doors..
Good job👌👍👏
Do you make it to order
Have you ever made a screen door
where can we get that wood for the doors? How thin is that?
Hi! this was made with 1 mm and 3 mm thick balsa wood.

Hi! I have links to everything in my description box
Which color is that .. is it acrylic paint or oil pain and code or shade number
It's called "antique blue" It's a water-based acrylic paint with a chalky finish. Unfortunately I couldn't find a color code on it.
