christopher swain yeh but they literally came out with a 20th Anniversary got Smackdown collectors edition and the only thing you got was a ring mat and a signature by edge, Kurt, or Rey I believe like they shouldve added a showcase mode featuring legendary matches and moments from Guys like Kurt,Lesnar,Rey, The rock, Hhh/DX, Stone cold ,Hardy Boyz,Edge, Edge & Christian , Etc like all these people are in the game & I would rather have retro attires for these people and even allowing the showcase to include other legends than multiple charlottes , Bayleys , Sasha’s and Becky’s like the 4 horse women stuff is too recent we literally lived through this stuff over the last 3-4 years the Smackdown stuff is HISTORY some of that stuff kids wasn’t old enough or even born yet to experience
It's fun watching this back knowing how bad it actually was. I feel like it was the result of needing to push something out every year and they just took 2K19 and just updated a few things. Given the extra time between games as well as the delay, I really hope the care has been put back into the game and we se that quality moving forward.
2k is waste of money. They release the ‘same’ game every year with a few new features and better AI, When they can just work on the previous game instead of rushing out a new game every year. This is same for all of their sports games

I think 2k needs to take their time with WWE and go to shows so that they can watch people's entrances so that they can get a feel for the wrestlers and their personalities. They need to listen to the fans reactions and some advice from outside sources so we can enjoy it. Honestly I think THQ needs to help 2k a bit. 2k is underperforming right now. They're looking like Baker Mayfield in his second year. AEW needs to learn from this when they select someone to do their game. I gotta feeling that AEW will rival WWE on video games.

Man I had this preordered but I'm so glad I cancelled it and put that money towards another game, glad I still have my 2k19 to play which seems to be superior to this garbage that's about to be released.
2K Showcase should be kinda what Road The Wrestlemania used to be. A fantasy world with the real superstars. Career mode with a CAS. GM Mode for the Management aspect. Play Now with Full Custom Match Options Online (Player vs PLayer, Tower, whatever the hell they want in) Creation suite: CAS, Fully Editable superstars(GAble short hair etc.), Arena, Title, Entrance(with Creation of Custom Trons), Finisher That's what a WWE Game should be.
I highly suggest people just wait a few weeks to see if they patch the game. Or just rent it before buying. If people keep buying unfinished games then these companies wont get the message.
You know, I’ve watched the other “I’ve played...” vids and I have to say that I appreciate this one the most. Granted, everyone is expressing the concerns around gameplay, graphics, modes, etc., but I just wanted to hear someone say that despite those things, this could still potentially be a fun game for wrestling fans. That’s all I wanted to hear. I know it feels like we’re going backwards guys, but let’s just hope they continue to work at improving this.

Especially battlegrounds slowly adding micro transactions and now with 2K22 ‘my faction’ no doubt they’re gonna have coins you can buy with real money to get your favourite superstars, but they’ll do it in a way that covers their own backs by ‘still being able to earn in game money with matches but they’ll reduce the amount of vc earned no doubt
The only thing i like in this version is they return hulk hogan but the problem is they must put an earlier version of him when he fight andre becaus he have better entrance
I still think showcase mode is a fine mode but only for stuff that's actually historical and is over a decade or two old like stone cold's wrestling career, the attitude era, and even triple h vs shawn michaels. What it shoudn't be used for is stuff that literally happened 4 years ago like the four horse women.
I'll start playing FIFA now, also there's a way that makes you change the reversal button like before, you can't change it in-game, but you can change it from the PlayStation settings, I believe it works

I would like 2k to do photo realism in 21. As well as rtx lighting and sounds. I do in fact think there needs to be a new engine that really does raise the bar higher. Everything has to have a sense of style to each wrestler so in a way like smackdown just shut your mouth but detailed flow to give more options to react or act to different situations.
It really sucks knowing that you have to play showcase in order to unlock certain arenas. If all the arenas were unlocked from the start, I wouldn't even play showcase.
In response to this video. Both WWE 2k19 & 2k20 were simultaneously developed in 2018. Proof is yukes and visual concepts were 2 and a half cycles backwards in development due to the tv show changing 3 times in between 2018 and 19. 2k19 was revised from 2k18 due to 2k incorporated denying the teams to use Daniel Bryans showcase on disc for 2 installments (2k17 and 18). The current tv schedule had 4 stories happening at once with Roman Becky Kofi and Seth going on so 2 were selected being roman and Becky. The games upcoming will not be focusing on the current storyines until at least WWE 2k22. What everyone is seeing is the late 2018 work from the united kingdom tournament and mae young classic hence before NXT UK became a brand

You may have not given a very positive review of the game from your perspective, but 2K wanting you to be honest means a lot to the consumers. 2K Showcase should be kinda what Road The Wrestlemania used to be. A fantasy world with the real superstars.

I preordered the deluxe because of how good 2k19 was and I wanted to get all the dlc I think if the games gets a good day one patch it could work out
You know, I’ve watched the other “I’ve played...” vids and I have to say that I appreciate this one the most.
Granted, everyone is expressing the concerns around gameplay, graphics, modes, etc., but I just wanted to hear someone say that despite those things, this could still potentially be a fun game for wrestling fans. That’s all I wanted to hear. I know it feels like we’re going backwards guys, but let’s just hope they continue to work at improving this.

Especially battlegrounds slowly adding micro transactions and now with 2K22 ‘my faction’ no doubt they’re gonna have coins you can buy with real money to get your favourite superstars, but they’ll do it in a way that covers their own backs by ‘still being able to earn in game money with matches but they’ll reduce the amount of vc earned no doubt

I still think showcase mode is a fine mode but only for stuff that's actually historical and is over a decade or two old like stone cold's wrestling career, the attitude era, and even triple h vs shawn michaels. What it shoudn't be used for is stuff that literally happened 4 years ago like the four horse women.

I would like 2k to do photo realism in 21. As well as rtx lighting and sounds. I do in fact think there needs to be a new engine that really does raise the bar higher. Everything has to have a sense of style to each wrestler so in a way like smackdown just shut your mouth but detailed flow to give more options to react or act to different situations.
I would prefer to end the total 1 year dev time. It requires time to create a new game. 3 or more years is better.

It really sucks knowing that you have to play showcase in order to unlock certain arenas. If all the arenas were unlocked from the start, I wouldn't even play showcase.

In response to this video. Both WWE 2k19 & 2k20 were simultaneously developed in 2018. Proof is yukes and visual concepts were 2 and a half cycles backwards in development due to the tv show changing 3 times in between 2018 and 19. 2k19 was revised from 2k18 due to 2k incorporated denying the teams to use Daniel Bryans showcase on disc for 2 installments (2k17 and 18). The current tv schedule had 4 stories happening at once with Roman Becky Kofi and Seth going on so 2 were selected being roman and Becky. The games upcoming will not be focusing on the current storyines until at least WWE 2k22. What everyone is seeing is the late 2018 work from the united kingdom tournament and mae young classic hence before NXT UK became a brand
