    I have a light skin tone with deep, dark circles under my eyes that are always a nightmare- even if I have tons of sleep! As a child I had this issue- and it has only become more prominent with age. I am so appreciative of your explanation of this product and will be ordering my mac kit for light skin tones today! Awesome explanation! Dee

      I've used this in a couple of the application videos I have posted (Glam Bridal Look and I think I used it in the Viseart Shadow one as well). It's hard for me to help with application but the eye area should be well hydrated but not greasy, you can try using different brushes as well (I actually use a natural hair brush to apply it), and start with less and mix with corrector to avoid using a lot of product to cover.

    Thank you so much, this was super helpful... Just getting back to modeling after a decade long hiatus, and it’s a whole new world, lol! On the makeup front along, there has been so much change and new products and techniques, that I am totally lost, especially as I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup on my day to day... Actually just picked up this palette yesterday in the medium in hopes it will help with my dark circles and my melasma, which has spread all over different areas of my face, leaving these dark patches all over, specifically my cheeks and my chin, so am wondering if you think this palette and the principles you taught in this video would help cover up the melasma (No matter what I do, or how great it seems to look at first, after an hour or so, whatever area I’ve covered the melasma turns gray and makes me look very dull and ashy...) And if not this palette/colors, could you please recommend one to me to cover/cancel out melasma in medium toned skin (Mine is like Jessica Alba’s but lighter and less olive)... Thank you so much! Am going to subscribe and check out your other videos, but would love it if you could do a video on how to build a great makeup kit for personal use with a list of products each kit should have and then extras that you recommend, along with brands, etc... That could really help others like me who are lost in the sea of different products and don’t k is where to begin, lol! Sorry so long, thanks again for such a great informative video, can’t wait to try out my palette! 😊

    I usually use the Kryolan dermablends, because the pigmentation is incredible. The problem for me is that sometimes the dark circles are still SO hard to neutralize; purples and blues are quite straight forward, but some women have dark brown under eye-circles... Those are tricky! My make up teacher recommended us to take a little tiny bit of a true red lipstick and mix it in with a foundation to neutralize it; the same with brown spots, so I feel like that's what's missing in these M.A.C. palettes. :)

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому

      It’s not always necessary - it would totally depend on the condition of the client’s under eye area as well. Well pigmented foundation and concealer will last through a few tears and setting spray is helpful.

      Great question Allie! It really depends for me on what i'm doing and the skin type of the person i'm working on. (don't know if this is helpful hahahah but experiment and see what options work for you!)

    Hi Angie, I like to ask you a question about client who has serious scars from pimple, after correct them. How do you cover the "holes" they have on their face. I mean deep holes. And they request not to cake them with powder. How would you do it? Many thanks.

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  7 років тому +2

      Hi Alice, It is challenging working with textured skin. You will never be able to completely smooth out the skin but if you buff on your foundation it helps the skin to appear smooth on camera and in photos.

  • @sayyedathawer7849
    @sayyedathawer7849 7 років тому

    In a case where you need to "MIX" a bit of the corrector and a little bit of the concealer, do you do this before the foundation application?
    Also, in a case where you apply the corrector first with your finger or brush, do you apply the concelaer after that and lastly the foundation? or foundation first then concealer?
    Lastly, the concealer that you use on a client is usually a shade lighter then their foundation color or similar to the skin tone?
    Looking forward for your replies. TIA:)

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  7 років тому

      This is all up to you, and how your products work best! I find for more coverage layering corrector first and then concealer works best - but depending on what needs covering sometimes mixing concealer and corrector together and then applying works well. You will see throughout more of my demo videos how I use concealer and corrector (in what order, and either lighter or darker) because sometimes I do different things depending on my client's needs and the final look I want to achieve.

    I just ordered the light palette - I’m not a makeup artist but I’m sick of trying to find the right color and consistency to cover my dark circles. Things that used to work on me now feel dry and cakey because I have to layer to get enough coverage. I had an artist put Prolongwear on me and it looked great (just like everything they do). I stopped using it for a while (always trying to find my holy grail) but was getting frustrated because all the liquid concealers everyone loves look dry on me - I decided to try the Prolongwear out again- I’ve tried fingers, brushes and sponges, powder and no powder and it still tends to look dry. I’m guessing this isn’t supposed to be layered for best results?
    What do you prep dry (slightly aging) under eyes with before concealer? Can you layer the cream concealer over a liquid corrector? What brushes do you use to blend, and what powders do you like that don’t get textured and dry? (For reference, the Laura Mercier Secret brightening ages me 20 years and adds texture). Thanks!!

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  5 років тому

      Hi Wendy - a lot of what you are asking is almost impossible for me to answer and when it comes to personal makeup application it's not something I can help with via a UA-cam comment. I would need to see how you are using the products, which brushes, your application process, how you prep the under eye area etc. All of this effects how the concealers wear and appear throughout the day. I share a lot about how I do things on my videos and through instagram so I will try to address these concerns in future videos/posts.

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  4 роки тому +2

      It depends on the product, what we are shooting, and the final look. For the work I do that would be too much product for camera, so I would tend to mix corrector and concealer and apply only where necessary. For some products you could layer, but it would depend on the consistency and how much coverage is needed.

    Hello angie! Do you feel like studio finish creases a lot, I would love to get the palette for freelance but I'm afraid that it might be to creamy and crease or gather around the eyes. Thank you!

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  5 років тому

      Hey! If I did I wouldn’t be using it! Anything can cake and crease if you use too much. I’m a big fan of colour correctors mixed with concealers to reduce the amount of product needed under the eye for coverage. There’s lots of great concealers out there on the market so maybe try a few and see what you like if you are hesitant about this one!

    Is the light palette good for someone pale (nc10 and lighter)

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  3 роки тому +1

      If it was just for personal use I think there are too many shades you wouldn't use. For professional use on someone more fair than an NC10 you may need to lighten but it would totally depend. I am very fair and I actually prefer a concealer that is just slightly deeper so my under eyes do not look puffy.

    What are some cheaper alternatives to these palettes ? Or other concealers I could use to build my own ? Just because I'm on a budget right now lol. But I do hope to one day get these palettes

      Selena Guzman your best bet is to buy the la girl pro concealers for right now. but i did notice its almost the same price buying the vs la girl individually

      For my kit I have the LA Pro color correctors- orange, yellow, and green. I also have the NYX color correcting concealer palette which includes the shades yellow, green, purple, peach, orange and a brown. Hope this helped!

    • @AngieDiB

      Mac Face and Body is self setting so it would depend on how much of the concealer you are mixing in - if you mix in a large amount of concealer you may get some separation.

      I would go and take a look at the palette in store and speak to someone there- but likely you would be medium, that palette contains NC35.

    So I bought the tarte wipeout color correcting palette because it looked like a good option for universal correcting and concealing (obviously nothing is universal but I thought it looked like it could work on a wide range of skin tones), especially since I was planning on buying the rcma KJB palette for foundation and concealer since I’m trying to build a quality kit on a very limited budget. But now I’m considering returning the tarte palette and investing in a few of these palettes so they could work on correcting more skin tones. I guess my question is, do you think the tarte palette in conjunction with the rcma KJB would not be a good alternative to this? And also, why does Mac not have any green color correctors for correcting redness? Since that’s one of the main reasons I bought the tarte palette.

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому

      I have never used the Tarte palette so I cannot comment on how well it works. MAC has a pale white green corrector called Blonde Ash. Another great option for you may be the Make Up For Ever corrector palette, but i'm not sure what you have access to based on where you live or how much you want to spend.

      Angie Di Battista wow thanks for such a quick reply, that’s a great palette that’s actually really accessible here in Mexico, the only thing I’m having a hard time finding now is a dark pigmented green, for redness on dark skin, kind of like a dark olive is what I have seen people use. Also, hoe necessary do you think the mauve or lavender shades are? I know they’re for correcting yellow but how often do you come across that kind of issue that using the right shade of foundation can’t fix and you have to actually go in with a mauve

      It's really gorgeous and it fits in my Zuca case perfectly! I got my pro discount from Bobbi Brown and ordered it from their website. I'm not sure if Naimies or Nigels in Los Angeles ship to Canada, but you can try them to see if you can get the discount. xo

    Can I just use these as foundation on clients. I bought this recently and told the lady that I didn’t want to buy different shades on foundations so she showed me these palettes . I’m on a budget and I want to eventually buy the Ben Nye matte foundation palette

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому +2

      It’s not ideal but you can use them as foundation. I think you’ll find you go through them quite quickly if you are using them as foundation. They can get cakey really quickly if you aren’t careful.

    • @LaLascrops
      @LaLascrops 6 років тому

      Angie Di Battista well I don’t have too many clients at the moment lol. I’m slowing getting into freelancing.
      Is it ok to add drops of oil to them so they won’t be as cakey. I have rose hip oil at the moment, but I could go get the Mac essential oil if that is better

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому

      Dropping oil in them to thin them out is going to cause a problem for you on long shoot days. Over time it eats away the foundation on the face.

    Do the concealers make flashback on photos?

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому

      I haven't had that issue with these concealers, but concealers in general can if they contain some of the ingredients that cause flashback - or they are set with powder that contains those same ingredients.

    You also use RCMA. How do you choose between which palette you will use?

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  7 років тому +1

      I will be doing more on client tutorials so you will get to see how I apply concealer. My go normally is the MAC Concealer - I love the consistency and coverage. RCMA I usually save RCMA for male grooming or with a client/model where I don't need a lot of coverage.

    Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I wondered why there was no green corrector? Which colour would you use to correct redness with these?

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  5 років тому +2

      I have a separate green corrector I use from Make Up For Ever and a pale ash green from MAC that I use as well. I rarely use green corrector and anytime I have had it in a palette it has been a waste which is why I like these.

  • @sagedee4569

    Can u use both the yellow and orange correct together or should you just use one- which one is the best used for brightening n removing dark circles under the eyes?

    • @AngieDiB
      @AngieDiB  6 років тому

      There is no reason to use both and both will remove dark circles under the eyes and brighten. The choice of which one to use is going to depend on skin tone and undertone of the under eye discolouration.
