ArtisticEventing it's called a mud knot, used when a horse's tail is too thin or to accentuate a nice looking hind end. Traditionally fox hunters used it to keep brambles and mud out of the horse's tail :)
charlise casas was extremely harsh.. ik im late haha. her saddle is clearly not correctly fitted. my horse's saddle wasn't correctly fitted and he did the same thing. you could see when she was jumping, the front of the saddle tipped up, and the back landed hard.
I feel so bad for the little girl that had a fall in the two stride😢 I hope she is ok and her pony is two! Also great sportsmanship from her!!!
Good the grooms deserve recognition
Kapalua and Footnote are both ponies I've shown against!
what happened to the ponies tail at 3:12??

Emma Kurtz is an AMAZING rider now, and deserves a better ride than that. That was definitely an off day.
What fence height is this? I was thinking 3”0 but idk
definitely not 3’. probably 2’6
@@narval244 some/ most of the fences look to be around 3’
Large ponies are usually 2’6”-3’ depending on the show, but I’d say these are probably 2’9”
2’9

These judges are wack
what is wrong with the first pony's tail?
It is braided
+Natalie Bailey i know it is braided but there is nothing hanging out? like when i braid my mare's tail... the extra hair is sticking out??
+Horsepassion4life idk I guess they just tucked all of the hair leftover into the braided part of the tail
Natalie Bailey you know the purpose of it?
Sometimes when the pony has a really short or thin tail instead of buying an extension you can just braid it and tuck up underneath the braid
Why in the world did the first one have his tail docked?
Its a kind of braid. You see it more in fox hunting, but if a pony's tail is too thin, they will do that instead of a traditional tail braid
I own a hunter ponie
Same! So does many other people
