You are just one of the best narrator of all the woodworking channels, and I always wait for that first mention of your neighbor (this one was quick!). Thank you for your videos and display of amazing skills...
@@FishersShop I agree with Eric! I always can't wait till a new video comes out because i know time, attention, and walnut are always involved.. turns my day around.
@Fisher's Shop - I always wonder how much of a shack the neighbor's house must be by now... eventually, it's going to be just a framed structure... LOL I'm always learning from his videos and there's always at least a little nugget of humor that sneaks in when least expected.
Your neighbor has the most wood heavy house in the universe. At this point any normal house would have been stripped bare to the foundation. Not even furniture left. His house however - he hasnt even noticed... its one impressive house
@@FishersShop hey I'm your neighbour, in a sort of way... But here in the Netherlands we mostly make houses out of brick not like you savages across the pond..
Always a good idea when you acquire some wood from your neighbor's house to break it down as quickly as possible so it's unrecognizable. Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Man I love the humor. I was just trying to draw mine up yesterday but trying to figure out casters and a kegerator. We could combine the two and have the perfect woodworking movie theater.
Holy hell! That's not a workbench, it's a work of art! I'm afraid my garage just wouldn't be worthy of such an impressive piece. Unless I built it out of cast-off pine, particle board, and OSB...
You sir must be a master thief to do so well in your scavenging. The cabinet turned so well it looks as it was built with the bench from the beginning. Master level work there. I love the outtakes as well. Its good to know that mistakes are the amusing common factor we all share.
Wow Drew, this piece definitely has to be in the Top 5 most beautiful workbenches out there~! I can see making one of these myself and it getting hijacked by my wife for use in the house (sideboard?). She'd be saying the same thing I'd be thinking, "That thing is too pretty to work on." Great job & great video~!! Thanks for sharing it. That last outtake is hilarious~!
I always laugh watching your videos, and think .. "sure I could do that" . (I sooo could NOT do that!) But it's definitely something to strive for. You are incredibly talented!!!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece.
Love your sense of humor, would also enjoy having you as a close friend, but sorry I draw the line living next door to you. (Just in case...) 🙂At any rate, I always watch all of your videos, they are awesome, thanks!
Great as always Drew! Love the "well I don't like that...." I can't tell you how often I say that to myself! I would like to say that I love the use of "flat" head screw. If only I saw a slotted screw in this build... ;)
That's great, Drew. I'm one of those waiting for the flat head screw. Also, it took a while during the outtakes but the "Oh crap" finally showed up. Do you ever follow your neighbors after they move to their new house for a fresh supply of wood? Bill
Enjoyed the video Drew. Very nice storage cabinet and great looking pulls. You've built a nice collection of clamps. You can't have too many. I like that contraband drawer contents. Be careful or you'll get a sugar high for sure. Thanks for taking the time to produce the videos. You take care and God bess.
Drew, one day the future generations of your family are going to marvel at your shop and its excellent shop furniture pieces, which by then will all be family heirlooms! They will shake their heads at how your shop furniture is nicer than the furniture in their houses! As do I already.... 🥲
New to your videos but so grateful I came across them! If you are just pretending to be a woodworker, I am just a kid over here playing with sticks! Thanks for the great content!
Drew, that is one fine looking workbench. Just goes to show, just because something is for shop use doesn't mean it can't look good. I wish I had (or knew how to use) the 3-D design software for designing things like you do - I just have to envision them in my head and make the mistakes as I cut and assemble.
I'm undecided on what entertains me more. You're builds, your humor or the editing. Oh and on a side note, this build is beautiful. I'd love to have that in my leather shop. Albeit, with a full range of shallow drawer to hold hand tools and patterns 😉leather, maple and walnut 😁now, that would be a beautiful contrast
I can identify with "going over the top for a build"! I'm constantly reminding myself not to go too far so that I can actually finish a project in a timely manner. Workbench looks great!
The endings are everything. They remind me that these polished videos I see online go through the same realizations and "adjustments" that I do. That I'm not a total idiot when I make a mistake and that it's part of the process.
That is one fine bench. And it is made outstanding by the inset cabinet. I love it. However I am certainly happy that I am not your neighbor. Frankly I could not afford all the donations to your projects. 😄Thank you for sharing. Have a great 2023 and stay safe.
I too have a stash of "contraband" in my shop. It seems it a thing since days of old; when we cleaned out my granpas shop we also found some sweets he forgot about from years ago - he hid it so well HE couldnt even find it haha!
Drew, this is by far one of my favorite shop builds you have done, I seriously love the contrast with the maple and walnut! Thank you for the effort you continually put into creating these masterpieces!
6:07: "I put in a coved indentation for my fingers, and then chopped them all down to length at the miter saw." OUCH! Glad you didn't show that part. Another enjoyable, informative video!
Great video and great design. Your presentation is always the best. I love watching and listening to them. Yours are one of my favorites that I look forward to seeing. Thanks for sharing.

@@JayBates But I like your videos too, Jay!
Your videos are the Bob Ross of woodworking.
If I only had his afro though
You win the clamp acquisition competition.
The comment about the "4 more drawers for me to look through for the tool I just had in my hand"....that one cracked me up, and I can 100% relate...
Hehe, thanks for watching
Talk about a virtual forest of clamps! Impressive!
You sure have some mighty generous neighbors!!!! Well done sir!!!
Thanks!
Your neighbor has the most wood heavy house in the universe. At this point any normal house would have been stripped bare to the foundation. Not even furniture left. His house however - he hasnt even noticed... its one impressive house
I have lots of neighbors. For some reason they keep leaving and then I get new ones.
😂Great

Yeah and the best part about it must be that when the structure get so wonky the neighbours will leave themselves leaving the rest to be scavengend.

Guinness poured, fire lit, time for some Fisher,s shop
Really ties the room together, dude.
1:30 AND "High Contrast Accent" You are really getting professional (almost). GREAT project! !! !!!
SUPER professional... except for when I forget to put on pants.

There ya go!
A candy drawer! He has a real candy drawer! That is the best option ever!
Oh Lord - the drawer of snacks! That's freaking awesome!
Right?!
Thanks for the outtakes. Reminds me I’m not the only one that makes mistakes.
Storage looks awesome! And, yes! It totally ties in with the table!
Princess Leia sanding… ROFL!

Walnut always gives a piece character and style 😁❤️
Sure does!
Great looking piece Drew. Best one yet. Good use for all that recycled plywood out of the neighbor''s garage too.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing. Talk about tight tolerances! Wow!
Once again I'm reminded.... one can never have too many clamps!
Yeah, it was quite a squeeze!
Love Princess Leia! Nice work, Buddy!

I love the flat screw segment in your videos.

It's so beautiful I want to cry.
Loved the Princess Leia reference!
I don’t know why, but the slightly cheesy comedy gets me every time. Your delivery and timing just hits. Makes the videos that more enjoyable.
Glad you like them. Thanks
As always, Thanks! You stole my game of "finding the flathead" Love your stuff!
Glad you like it!
Awesome job, as usual. The press-fit cabinet was a smart idea. Really saves on fasteners. More flat heads for the next project.
That's the plan!
Awww I was hoping for at least 1 "Crapski!" lol Love this addition Drew!
There were plenty but the camera wasn't rolling. :)
Love the Walnut Maple contrast. Great work, nice cabinet. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much!
Good thing you have a neighbor that goes to work and you can get your wood from. Mine always seems to be home when I try that........
Nice bench and drawer assembly.
The Necessary Shop Accessories drawer was a nice touch!
