You are just one of the best narrator of all the woodworking channels, and I always wait for that first mention of your neighbor (this one was quick!). Thank you for your videos and display of amazing skills...
@@FishersShop I agree with Eric! I always can't wait till a new video comes out because i know time, attention, and walnut are always involved.. turns my day around.
@Fisher's Shop - I always wonder how much of a shack the neighbor's house must be by now... eventually, it's going to be just a framed structure... LOL I'm always learning from his videos and there's always at least a little nugget of humor that sneaks in when least expected.
Your neighbor has the most wood heavy house in the universe. At this point any normal house would have been stripped bare to the foundation. Not even furniture left. His house however - he hasnt even noticed... its one impressive house
@@FishersShop hey I'm your neighbour, in a sort of way... But here in the Netherlands we mostly make houses out of brick not like you savages across the pond..

The endings are everything. They remind me that these polished videos I see online go through the same realizations and "adjustments" that I do. That I'm not a total idiot when I make a mistake and that it's part of the process.
This has got to be the most beautiful piece of garage furniture ever built. I wish I could afford half the walnut used on this! And those clamps! Holy cow. Forget raiding your neighbours houses… I’m raiding yours. Thank you for another memorable build. And your narration is the best on the interweb.
Great as always Drew! Love the "well I don't like that...." I can't tell you how often I say that to myself! I would like to say that I love the use of "flat" head screw. If only I saw a slotted screw in this build... ;)
I can identify with "going over the top for a build"! I'm constantly reminding myself not to go too far so that I can actually finish a project in a timely manner. Workbench looks great!
Holy hell! That's not a workbench, it's a work of art! I'm afraid my garage just wouldn't be worthy of such an impressive piece. Unless I built it out of cast-off pine, particle board, and OSB...
New to your videos but so grateful I came across them! If you are just pretending to be a woodworker, I am just a kid over here playing with sticks! Thanks for the great content!
Man I love the humor. I was just trying to draw mine up yesterday but trying to figure out casters and a kegerator. We could combine the two and have the perfect woodworking movie theater.
I'm undecided on what entertains me more. You're builds, your humor or the editing. Oh and on a side note, this build is beautiful. I'd love to have that in my leather shop. Albeit, with a full range of shallow drawer to hold hand tools and patterns 😉leather, maple and walnut 😁now, that would be a beautiful contrast
Drew, this is by far one of my favorite shop builds you have done, I seriously love the contrast with the maple and walnut! Thank you for the effort you continually put into creating these masterpieces!
That's great, Drew. I'm one of those waiting for the flat head screw. Also, it took a while during the outtakes but the "Oh crap" finally showed up. Do you ever follow your neighbors after they move to their new house for a fresh supply of wood? Bill
Drew, that is one fine looking workbench. Just goes to show, just because something is for shop use doesn't mean it can't look good. I wish I had (or knew how to use) the 3-D design software for designing things like you do - I just have to envision them in my head and make the mistakes as I cut and assemble.
Great looking drawers for that great looking workbench. I just hope that inserted cabinet being so tight doesn't crack or warp anything when it expands.
As always, a great video! I really like the workbench with the cabinet. I have a very tiny work space (about 8' square) and space utilization is always a challenge. I bought a Milwaukee rolling tool cabinet and put a Kreg Adaptive cutting System table top on it. It works great overall but at times it's a little tall. I may be buying yet another set of plans from Fisher's Shop!
Another great video, Drew. I now know how to build a much needed box of drawers for my workbench. Thank you. Btw, my wife heard me start your video and said, hey, is that Drew? Play the video on the TV! We both, now, love your videos!
Hey! Don't you guys have an amazing podcast with Mark Chryst of Gunflint Designs? I think it's called "We Built a Thing" or something like that? Folks so go check that out!
I need a neighbor like yours! I have some upcoming projects that I could really use a nearby "materials sponsor" for. Great work as always Drew! Rock on!
You sir must be a master thief to do so well in your scavenging. The cabinet turned so well it looks as it was built with the bench from the beginning. Master level work there. I love the outtakes as well. Its good to know that mistakes are the amusing common factor we all share.
I too have a stash of "contraband" in my shop. It seems it a thing since days of old; when we cleaned out my granpas shop we also found some sweets he forgot about from years ago - he hid it so well HE couldnt even find it haha!
Enjoyed the video Drew. Very nice storage cabinet and great looking pulls. You've built a nice collection of clamps. You can't have too many. I like that contraband drawer contents. Be careful or you'll get a sugar high for sure. Thanks for taking the time to produce the videos. You take care and God bess.
Those self closing slides are great. I recommend getting and usi g the jig to drill those two holes on the backside of the drawer. Sometimes there is just enough play in the slide that when you press to get an indent, it isn't rightly inline. It is a pain trying to figure out if you need to move to hole left or right. The jig is perfect every time. It is easier/faster to jiggle the slide until it clicks into place. Otherwise that is one beautiful bench.
Wow Drew, this piece definitely has to be in the Top 5 most beautiful workbenches out there~! I can see making one of these myself and it getting hijacked by my wife for use in the house (sideboard?). She'd be saying the same thing I'd be thinking, "That thing is too pretty to work on." Great job & great video~!! Thanks for sharing it. That last outtake is hilarious~!

I don’t know why, but the slightly cheesy comedy gets me every time. Your delivery and timing just hits. Makes the videos that more enjoyable.

I have lots of neighbors. For some reason they keep leaving and then I get new ones.
😂Great

Yeah and the best part about it must be that when the structure get so wonky the neighbours will leave themselves leaving the rest to be scavengend.
