Can I Beat Terraria Using Only Grappling Hooks To Move?

- Grappling hooks are a super useful tool for getting around in Terraria. From helping you out of sticky situations to a boosting you away from an attack they are great. But what happens when disable the W A S and D keys, so you have to rely 100% on grappling hooks? Well it ain't pretty that's for sure. So can I (a mediocre player) beat the entirety of Terraria using only a grappling Hook? I guess we'll find out.

The amount of times I hit E at the start of a new playthrough before realising I'm about to see the respawn timer is staggering.
Somthing that could have vastly improved your movement is featherfall potions, because they synergise super well with grappleing hooks

Btw idk if you have a rule for this or some but i noticed you didnt use any potions and i just think if you used a bunch of buff potions like the summoner or ironskin/endurance potion it would make your life a million times easier
My dude not only hindered himself by only using hooks but also not using any potios, campfires, heart lanterns and cat statues. And i bet he didint have warding on any of his equipment as well.
So lame when people do a challenge and then break their own rules within the minute. Make it work! Thats the fun/interesting part of this type of video!

1 dubble jump means you could upgrade to a blue horse shoe balloon for no fall dmg and slightly better jump or the better yelow balloon

I remember a couple years back i mentioned that idea to a friend and he said and i quote "that is the most tedious idea ive heard whoever does that is insane" so massive props to you for managing to do this

Doors only were able to be used using a and d in 1.4! I remember being exited for automatic doors
Things like this make me wish there was a stat that showed you how many times one grappled
Some major things that would've helped
- Feather falling potions (Would've helped keep momentum in the sky)
- Old ones army gear (Most of old ones army is fought standing mostly still anyways, and the Valhalla gear set is insanely good)
- Wiring, specifically aucuiators with timers so you could fall easier and reset your position while keeping insane momentum
- Cross necklace
- Vampire knives for golem and fishron would've probably helped a lot.
I love how this wouldn't of been possible without a random block from king slime

Dude, you should try using doors + grapling hook, it makes you go way faster, just grapple onto a door and you will see

I looked through the repeat comments to confirm my question wasn't already answered but when fighting moonlord the recalls worked good enough it seems but did you ever wind up trying the hook of dissonance to dodge the phantasmal laser? I personally greatly dislike that hook in normal gameplay but I was just curious if you ever tried using it off cam granted the timing would probably have been very strict also.

Challenge idea: You have to defeat a new boss every hour, which means you only have an hour to prepare before each boss (it might be easy for you, but I think it would be interesting)
Oh btw you could have used a lucky horseshoe balloon or one of those to not take fall damage even with out wings

Hey rather quenched you are INSANE AND I LOVE IT And yeah you forgot desert armor exist bro like the armor was good you can use Blade staff + tome of infinite wisdom or golden shower that armor was mage + summoner and the armor set was good you summon a sand and you forgot rainbow gun

CONS: Everything else. Can only move once every 5 seconds without taking damage, can't walk, run, jump, or stick to surfaces, have to switch away from weapon to even use it.

I dont like these challenges where the item is just given at the beginning. The player should start with all normal items and use a strategy to get the item they need to do the challenge. Maybe dig down till you find a seed with a chest with a hook under where you spawn or something. Idk, it just feels cheep to me
