Really well produced and functional video. I've got the Evoque and tango 2 as well. Always good to see others ripping it up in Australia as well. Subscribed, good work mate. The land cruiser is fucking sick
I'm gonna give fpv a try. 2nd watch on this video but I'm fuzzy on the controller "radio" what works with what? Pretend in 10 and it's the first day of school. I've been flying the mini2 for about a year and want more exciting footage.
Yeah awesome! I've flown dji drones for 7 years, we have one of everything from dji pretty much. But I've never had as much fun flying drones as I have with fpv. Did you want to add me on whatsap or something? I'm happy to help you get started. I spent so many hours on UA-cam searching for answers, will definitely save you some time
@@alpinemedia6235 well I just purchased the goggles and dji remote. And after my checking account rebounds (lol) I'm gonna buy the iflight nazgul. I think they'll all bind "outa the box" yes?
@@fpvwithme it depends what kind of receiver you get with the nazgul. I'm not a fan on the dji remote, I run the dji goggles, tbs tango 2, nazgul f5 with the crossfire unit. But just keep in mind if you wish to swap later on down the track and the radio/transmitter doesn't accept crossfire, you will have to buy another unit to put on the back of your remote to make it compatible or change the receiver on the drone
@@alpinemedia6235 alot of what you said kinds makes sense. I know 1 guy who fpvs and he points me in the right direction. I know dji so ima stick with it till I learn the hobby a bit more. The nazgul evoque f5 comes with "dji air unit" which I believe is the "transmitter". Everything I just said, I learned today.
Nah seriously im not lying, pumped 100hrs in the sim, then put 5 packs through my protek35 the day after I got it then that afternoon my F5 arrived! Its a vdj 79 series land cruiser, but we've modified it alot, converted the rear to a coil suspension set up instead of leaf, list goes on About to drop a video on it actually, hopefully in the next week
Nice video mate. Looks like you are in a great part of the country. First time seeing some actually recommend using failsafe land mode. Does it actually land safely?
Thanks heaps, yes and no, depends how fast I'm going. Happened twice, dropped with forward momentum and rolled a few times other time it just dropped and bounced over. Only set this up because ill mainly use it for freestyle and short distance flying. Working on a chimera7 review at the moment so ill be setting up gps rescue with that one
@@alpinemedia6235 GPS recuse does work and is useful, so long as configured properly and the limitations understood. My non gps quads are set to drop, simply because of concern about possible fly away in the case of failsafe. Never tested so don’t know if that concern is warranted. Gluck with the long range, that can be heart racing stuff.
I don't recommend "land mode" failsafe on Betaflight. It's analagous to a car "take foot slowly off gas" vs "step on the brakes" in case of emergency. You have less idea where the drone went down if video cut out, and more likely to hit something that wasn't directly below the drone.
Good stuff mate, underrated video
Thanks legend 😁
