Nice !
Hey I didn’t see this links you said you post below 👇🏾. Please share if you can . I have watch several videos of yours I think I have found my first drone .
You’re the best one!!! Loves from Brazil, Matt!! You helped us a lot. Best fpv channel by far. Thanks for the content. We definitely need this new nazgul version
Loving the intro. Excellent work as always Matt!
Nice overview! Really feels like this video rendered and exported at a super fast rate, nice touch. You just earned yourself a new subscriber.
A very pleasant voice to listen to and a clear and calm explanation!
I LOVED that you cover the body options. I'm at the website already stuck at step one. Since you did note this for beginners or "out of the box". I wish you would had gone through picking parts through the official website like your previous videos. It seems that most manufacturers fail in visual references of these options, or lack of description of what they are.
Everytime i watch your vids I get motivated to fly again!
Best review out there about this drone, thanks!
Dude your production quality is next level! Keep it up man!
Really enjoyed the review, love all the great shots you get!
Thanks dude! I'm a big fan of your vids. Freestyle goals for sure 👌
YOU DESERVE ALL THE LOVE MATT!
Intro was amazing. Love these quality vids
Thanks for this video I’m new to FPV and I was looking into this drone / protek35 .
The evoque looks super cool with those lights!
Really great review. You may have just convinced me
Yes ! Just what I needed. Another great review 😀. Didnt you get the version with GPS ?
Good Job Mon Homme !!! the nazgul serie is a good value. The nazgul5 first generation is my first drone and I have it yet. All of them that I bought, the Nazgul5 is the best for me.
Great video, just interested to know what you lowered the rates down to so it didn't feel to snappy? Thanks
Nice one Matt, yup fan of iflight my self i got a few xl5 v2 and 2 titan xl5... i ordered the new v2 with HD motor LED(v2 had so many diffrent v2.1 v2.2 etc), it got stock in shipping shipped to the wrong country but its on the way now hehe... meantime this evoque released. and i couldnt resist getting it. and now its sitting on my bench prepping for a session next day. Huge grats on "Cuts" buddy :D
Hey Matt thanks for the review :) would u mind telling us ur PIDS and rates ? Bc it looks super smooth and I might wanna cop the evoque :D!
Hello; thanks for great videos! Did you choose 6s or 4s version and why? Thanks!
hey great vid, im just starting fpv and im looking to bug the evoque 6s version, im not realy sure with wich batteries to go for any recomendations? i would want to have the best flight time possible while mainteining the perfromance of the drone. thanks a lot for the video
Love the xt60 setup. I cut mine when I first started too...lol. The Roma F5
Nice! Btw I was so surprised to see you use the exact same ammo box as me to store your batteries 👍😊
Hey my friend!
Such a great video..!
One question: I have the props and the black screws but no tool to screw them on and the other thing is, that there is a gap between the prop and the screw once I have the screw a bit tight.. the screws have some kind of rubber on top that keeps the motors from going all the way through I think. Do I have to push through this??
Thanks in advance!
Phill
Super review 👌👍😉
Hey great vids i bought a nazgul evoque f5 6s with a dji controller and dji googles v2 just wondering or trying to understand the range and how far i can go without getting the controller or video disconnected vice-versa haven't seen much vids explaining this since the drone don't have auto hover or return - thanks much
What an intro! Nice dude! :D
Matt, love the way you patiently explain everything in your videos. Hey, can you please let me know which RC u used with this drone? Also, what batteries?
All of my current gear is listed in the description! All the same batteries and gear will work. I believe the digital setup has 6s batteries for a 6s drone and the analog one has 4S batteries for a 4S drone. You can choose based off of what you prefer
Made my mind up. This is my first fpv. Ordering now ✌🏼
Trying to find my first fpv drone too
Do you have the "led and lower kv motors" version of nazgul5 v2, or the normal one?
Awsome video. Keep up the good work
Thanks!
2:40 you really have to start doing more humorous stuff like this 😂
Hi Matt, I'm new to your channel however I´ve already watched all your videos!! amazing content and great cinematic shots!! I hope to buy a fpv drone soon!! keep it up with the good work!! Greetings From Ecuador!
great video homie!
Great video editing
Hey Matt! Please forgive me if this is ignorant but I’m trying to order my first fpv setup and I’m for sure going with the dji goggles and the appropriate digital nazgul drone so I’m wondering are mostly all popular controllers compatible with this setup for example the frsky controllers?
What battery did you use for the Evoque test Matt? Thanks!
Just received mine today! 🔥
I've only flown my Naz5 a couple times since I got it last week. Not even dared have it in acro yet, today is the day. just waiting for packs to charge. greetings from the UK.
Hi, do you prefer 4s 1300mah instead of 1500mah for this evoque DC with a gopro 9? Has better performance? Thanks!
is it possible to convert a 4s evoque to a 6s by changing out the motors? the spec sheet says the fc and the esc are the same for both...?
How upright would the gopro need to be for visible props to be an issue? Noticed we couldn't see any prop tips in the flight footage, and, at the beginning of vid your gopro doesn't seem to have a huge angle on it. I'm assuming any stabilisation software that converts to linear FOV will also likely knock the prop tips out of frame??
what was your flight time and would you recommend this over the iFlight Nazgul5 V2 or is this better
Great video!
hey, i have been trying to decide wich drone to get, i rlly loved all the features of the nazgul evoque f5x but from what i have seen in alot on videos it looks a bit slow, in comparison to the nazgul5 v2. I'm looking for a drone good for cinematics + very good for freestyle, coz i rlly like those fast maneuvers, and great response. Which one do u recomend? I also have seen the iFlight Nazgul Evoque F6 V2 but its more expensive and maybe not the best choice at least for freestyle. I also want to point out that i use analog system so the weight would be a bit less.
Hy friend, from your opinion f5x 6s with full size gopro 9 is it feel heavy for freestyle?
I have the nagul 5 v2 and I feel the rates it comes with are a little high, what are your rates?
Does the props show on gopro footage when it’s on superview?
Hey Matt. Would a 3inch 4s 1404 lift a full GoPro7? I never had a 5inch.
You are sooooo underrated!🥲
the side panel on the bnf you never saw it was on the wizard x220s too ;)
The Evoque uses Xing Pro motors compared to the Xing-E motors of the previous versions. Could this be the reason they perform differently? BTW the 4s motors are 2750 kv while the 6s motors are 1800 kv, based on what's posted on the Banggood site.
Hey Matt, is yours 4S or 6S? If it's 6S, how do you like 100C batteries on it? Right now I can see CNHL have only 1300mah 100c in stock (EU) and they are half the price from ultra expensive Tattu R-Line. I like my 4S ministar on Protek35, but Evoque will be my first 6S next week 😅
Hey bro. Love your videos! thanks for sharing such knowledge! Would be awesome if you spoke about using the crossfire system / tango 2 with a dji video link, im relatively new to fpv and would love to know more in terms of flying dji with a tango before upgrading. Thanks so much! :)
yes I second that.
I don't own a tango 2 but I use crossfire on most of my quads. What specifically do you want to know?
@@MattPochwat well I'm sorry to ask silly questions! I just would like to know if there'd be any link with a crossfire radio and goggles? or is the video component completely separate? Be able to monitor radio signal link via goggles? Also lastly< trying to get into long range. Would you suggest axii HD patch? THANKS SO MUCH! :)
@@MattPochwat I would love to purchase the drone. but trying to decide which Google and controller combo to use. I'm leaning toward both DJI items.
I am looking at the Protek series as well , so I wanted a controller to run all- I guess with help of modules.
Hey, why do you have GoPro mount case when the GoPro Hero 9 has built in legs for it? Just curious
Where can I buy a dead cat version of the Nazgul Evoke digital version?
As a newbie, can the s6 be flown with an s4 battery to slow things down. Awesome Vedic, great job.
Can you tell me the minimum angle at which the propellers of the drone cannot be seen by the gopro?
How did you do the text animation at 0:46 ? is it a template?
if you would not have any of 5" drones, as first drone you would go for nazgul 5 v2 or nazgul evoque f5?
I have a question for you For myself as a beginner What rates do you recommend
J’adooooore 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 nice drone bro
Hi Matt i would be Nice if you could make a video about tuning the nazgul 5 V2 because for me it is way to sensitive. I would like a more slower ( cinematic ) tune.
All that requires is changing your rates! There's a ton of videos out there on how rates work and learning how to change them is surprisingly easy. You can even find rate profiles of a lot of your favourite pilots around the internet.
Does this one bind to the radiomaster pretty easy
Matt single handedly teached me everything necessary to become an fpv pilot.
Now he´s tempting me again to spend 400 more Euros, damn you Matt!
What kind of range do you get with that controller? Would this be a good drone for cinematic mountain/nature shots? It seems the GoPro is just fine with the x frame.
With the crossfire module you could go a few kilometers if you're in an open area. I definitely recommend it
Great video! I'm still very new, I was just wondering if you've flown this one and if it compares? Thank you for the videos! Lumenier QAV-S
The QAV-S has various versions. I have the Johnny FPV one and I plan on making a video on it soon. I wouldn't say one is drastically better than the other
@@MattPochwat Great to know, thanks. I'm looking forward to the video
What are your rates on the evoque?
You should probably mention that in the digital version the v2 currently comes with the caddx nano and the evoque with the polar 😬
5 starz on that intro dude.
Can you imagine while you’re doing this review, Iflight is already working on the next version of the Nazgul series. Always love their quad🔥
Hi I followed your budget build and bought the Nazgul F5 evoque paired with radiomaster. I am having trouble for the past week on getting the radiomaster to respond (throttle and switches). They are successfully bound but just not responsive
Can you make a setup guide with the pair? Or even share your setup (outputs/inputs/mixes)
If u want to purchase this with an included transmitter and goggles will it be paired already?
Hey Matt, for someone wanting to get into fpv, would you recommend starting out with the dji goggles if money isn’t really a limiting factor? I’m confused if I should start with one of the 500$+ analog goggles or just go ahead and go dji ?
I guess it depends on what your goals are with FPV but I think unless your focus is going to be racing, most people entering the hobby these days will much prefer the DJI goggles. If money isn't a factor, I would recommend DJI to most people.
@@MattPochwat freestyle is what looks most interesting to me. Thanks Matt
how much the weight all with gopro
how many drone u use right from the beggining
sick quad!!! jus got mine'....fpvlife
Hi matt.. im considering buying the analog version, will it possible to switch it out to an HD version later due to the tight space?? Your help would be appriciated 🤙🤙
Yea the frame is the same on both so it will be possible to fit a Vista unit in there
@@MattPochwat greatt :) thanku matt and keep up the great content 🤙🤙
I would like to see a full guide to 7 '' long range drone
Can you install DJI air unit to it?
Does anyone had problems with Air unit over heating and dropping ?
What are the stock rates
Can you deactivate the LEDs?
how much the total weight
Cool
Hey Matt. I'm having a very hard time deciding between the dead cat version and the squished x.. Just wondering if you had more details about it? Thank you.
What do you want to do with your FPV drone? For cinematic stuff, the deadcat will be great. For freestyle, the squashed X will be a little bit more symmetrical on all axes.
@@MattPochwat I would say more cinematic, filming boats, sports, people. Is freestyle still fun with a dead cat though? I do have a hero 9 so it may be too heavy... On a side note is a 6s 1300 a good fit for this drone? Thanks for the help!
Yeah you can definitely still have fun freestyling it. For me personally, 1300 is a bit too heavy. I would go for something closer to 1100
@@MattPochwat Cool. Maybe 4min-5min of flight time with that setup with a gopro?
@@DevonSpittleREAL yeah something like that. Even more if you take it easy
I see myself as fixing my NAZGUL5 for the rest of my life. Being one of those old timers that never switched to anything else. I just love it so much I can't see buying anything else.
Me too haha ;)
Какие Вы используете батареи? Вес батареи?
Nazgûl Evoque or AOS 5 ?? Which one is better in your opinion ??
Been a while since you uploaded, how are you doing
Anybody got experience from ordering off Banggood? Not sure if I want to plash out 300 quid on something that not going to come. Thanks!
Nice intro 😎
You are the do it with dan of drones, you could be brothers!
Me watching this dreaming of getting one, also me looking to my left seeing a $25 aud drone from Kmart
Hey Matt (or anyone else who'd like to comment), I'm comparing the iFlight Protek 35 and the Nazgul Evoque and they both seem like such solid options. I currently have the Cinelog 25 and want something I can do things like follow fairly fast moving objects like someone ripping around on a dirtbike, a snowmobile, and things like a disc golf throw...I can't tell if the Protek 35 will have enough speed or if the Nazgul is the way to go. Any thoughts? Great vids, been a great to help to me and many others getting into the FPV world. Keep it up.
defo go for the evoque, the protek 35 is so so loud and only lasts like 2 mins up in the air. It was my first drone and I've sold it since as other than the fact it flies nicely it really sucks
@@Bullitain cheers nice to hear from someone's experience, I ended up building a 3.5 Lumineer QAV-PRO to have something of a sibling drone but when it's time for the 5 inch the Evoque looks sweet.
Love my DC5 1.4. Would have been interesting compare the dry weight and the motors between the two. EV must be heavier.
392.6g based on the BG site. That's without the GoPro and battery, since that will vary from pilot to pilot. BTW this is the analog version. The digital ones should be a tad heavier.
@@MrPhilbautista
Oh. Thought it was the DJI one. Never mind then. :-)
But finaly, the question is : is it worth it buying this one instead of nazgul 5 V2 as a first fpv drone for beginner ?
Not given the price difference. Nazgul5 V2 for the win.
If you're making your first FPV purchase and you're investing in all of your gear at once, I would say that you should save the $50 or so by getting the V2 and invest that money into a better controller or goggles. The V2 is still a great quad and there's nothing to be disappointed about. Getting a better controller or goggles is a better investment in my opinion. If you're already getting quality gear though and have a little extra to spend, the evoque is great
This is my first FPV kwad. It's over a hundred bucks more than the OG but I chose it because of the bling. The LEDs really stand out, specially when flying in darker situations. You won't see it when flying since you'll have your goggles on, but others will, and it leaves a good impression more often than not. It also has an F7 FC and better motors, and the side panels not only provide a bit more protection from splashing water and dust getting into your electronics, they also give it a sleeker, more polished appearance. Most of this is superficial, but, hey, it's my money. How you spend yours is your business so if you think my reasons are valid, go for it.
And the downside, it is more expensive. And because of the added froo froo, it's also heavier. The biggest negative is the VTX only maxes out at 600mW, compared to the 800mW of the V2, but that's just $30 cheaper than the Evoque. The OG maxes out at 600mW, just like the Evoque so no advantage there. Like I mentioned earlier, this is my first kwad, so I don't really plan on flying it that far at the start, so the VTX range isn't that big of an issue to me. But based on what I've seen, the 200mW difference between the V2 and the Evoque shouldn't be that big of an issue since these kwads won't be flying that far based on battery life. While it may make a difference in signal penetration when bando flying, I'll just cross that bridge when I get there.
FWIW I'm talking about the analog versions. DJI goggles are still out of my budget.
@@MattPochwat what are the stock rates one the drone?
4:07 A true X they are equally spaced out and squared. Not "almost". Now the "Squashed" X is Rectangular. So that only one dimension is off symmetry.
Mint
I know it's unrelated but, can you please please please make a video about lipo safety? Specifically how you manage yours. I'm hesitant to go from 1s whoops upto something else because I don't want to endanger my family. Anyways thanks for your content...it's pretty sweet
Hey man, I have a few videos on lipo batteries. Check them out as well as my charger review. Those should answer some questions!
