i have a clio 2, 1.6 110hp, and its soo light that the engine becomes really powerfull, so i can't even imagine with a V6 haha
Probably one of the most bonkers hot hatch these past few years. Throwing a V6 in place of the rear seats & converting a regular hatchback to a mid-engine RWD sports car? Mad!
There is the beetle rsi 3.2 v6 who is special too
@@jamespatagueule9013 the Beetle 3.2 RSI still retained many of the production Beetle traits - it just happened to have a 3.2L VR6 shoved into the front and has 4motion AWD to tame it. There is still 2 kid sized seats in the Beetle, not so the Clio V6.

Reminds me of the Fiat Uno Turbo or the Opel Kadett E GSI.
There were some people that swapped the 150 hp C20XE engine of the Kadett for the 204 hp C20LET of the Opel Calibra, which is basically the same engine but turbocharged.
I still have my V6 from 2001. I have a Macan now and I had many others I drove thought this years, but my "gordo"( means fat in spanish) is my jewel. Congrats for the video
Thing i like about these old Clios is how comfy they are , where i live in the UK the roads are pot holed everywhere , so its a joy to have a car that glides over the bumps, also ive only got a 1.6 Clio but that feels too fast to me . 130mph ive had out of it on a straight track

Must be one of the sweetest petrolicious ever built. The formula is apparently simple...a V6 in the rear of a wide and lowered Clio and a manual gearbox. Would you need anything else to be happy?

Well, it clearly don't have the best weight distribution, with the big engine behind and light front, but the challenge of control is part of the fun, I guess.
But it does carry balls of steel hahaha
I know two people who both owns one, and both clearly told me that these machines are death traps. The look coll, they sound awesome, but they are really bad around corners (one of the guys even wrecked one).

Renault should bring this engine back into the new Clio, perhaps with a little more power and 4WD. With the new drive train technology lying around, this car would be mental.
For me the second best Renault ever maded is Renault Laguna 1 2.0s RXE Volvo motor,
139HP, 16V and 4 cylinder engine.

If it's the baccara brown or maybe deep bronze paint code, it's very rare and I was not aware that Renault Sport paint their Phase II Clio V6 in that color scheme. Nice find, as rare as a blue dog ! :-)

Hey usually i dont comment but its a plate to go from like A to B (a comment or 2 under this someone explained is as a test vehicle). Or they put this plate after they repaired a car to bring it back to the owner (its a green plate). Blue is indeed for taxis.

If renault invested on making the Electric systems on their cars better, they would be a top 5 car brand I own a renault fluence wich is mechanically very reliable because it has the engine of a sentra and a renault manual transmission, but the quality of the plastics in the cars interior is bad, but the car is beautiful.

The mk1 was shite when it came out and the mk2 wasnt much better. The 172 cup was as quick and handled better. I know as ive owned all 3.
