Hello, is this dock compatible with the HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 - Laptop 15z-ey000 AMD Ryzen™ 7 5825U? I plan to connect 3 displays 1 WQHD+ at 144hz and 2 (2560 x 2880) at 60hz I would like to know if this laptop would support all those screens at those resolutions using the dock without losing performance or if this affects my performance since it is essential to have these screens working. On the other hand, I am concerned about the charging issue, since the laptop charges at 60w and this dock can only have 15w as far as I understand. Due to this I was considering the model HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G4 Model: 4J0A2AA#ABA since it allows me to charge the laptop correctly but it uses Thunderbolt and I don't know how this affects me since the laptop does not have this technology. what dou you recommend ?

I have a HP ZBook Power G7 and a HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 combo cable. Can I get two external monitors to display 4k resolution with this docking station and laptop?
This is all fine and dandy that the G4 'supports up to 4 monitors', but what if I want said monitors to display DIFFERENT content ? Giving that the G4 has A) it's own power source and B) 2 DisplayPorts, it would make sense for me to connect two monitors to said ports and that they would show different content. Oh, I should connect one monitor to DP and the other to HDMI ? Yeah, thought of that. Doesn't work either... My current monitors don't support daiseychaining, but why should they when the G4 has all these monitor outputs ?

I have an HP 250 G8, 11th Gen i5 model. I think a display-link based adapter should work, but I figure since everyone else is asking, is there a recommended adapter/dock for additional displays beyond the HDMI port? DP and/or VGA would be preferred (ideally 2+ displays from the dock/adapter(s), but I can make 1 work) Thanks in advance!
+Kamesh Naidu Yes, you can connect it with the use of DVI, HDMI and VGA units. Combining them with the display port outputs will add up to 3 monitors. However, depending upon the configuration of your graphics card and operating system, the customization may vary.
Hi Ayberk, thanks for contacting! I understand that you need to know about output voltage and amps of USB-3.0 ports. I will do my best to assist you. Also, with a USB 3.0, it can provide up to 900mA or 0.9A, which translates into 4.5 watts. These power output specifications are a rating based on the 5 volts from each standard output. HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion. i tried connecting my dual display (E243 & E27m ; 3rd screen is my laptop- HP EliteBook 840 G6) -- but somehow both monitor cannot have max resolution at the same time. HP E243 (max only 1280x800) via HDMI HP E27m (2560x1440) via DP but if both connect via DP max only 1280x1080 resolution ; the E27m do not have QHD options to select anymore.
+SEBASTIN QUADRES There is no generic solution. Either the laptop maker designs and offers one or there isn't any. In other words the laptop has to have a special docking port and those are no longer present on HP consumer laptops. I assume you have a 2-plug power inverter for the truck? You will have the replicator power supply (which is small and does not draw much current) and the laptop power supply plugged into the inverter and when you put the laptop in the truck you connect the extra power supply power supply permanently located in the truck and the usb plug from the dock and it activates all the other peripherals you have connected to the replicator. Snap down docks were expensive and your total cost for all this will be much less than docks used to cost "in the day".

What is the output voltage and amps of USB-3.0 ports? Is it okay to charge 5V 1.0A input smartwatch via USB3.0 ports on the dock?
Hi Ayberk, thanks for contacting!
I understand that you need to know about output voltage and amps of USB-3.0 ports.

Thanks for getting back to us,Yes! The dock works with both HP and non-HP USB-C- and Thunderbolt-enabled notebooks, thereby ensuring universal compability. For USB-C functionality, host PC must support the DisplayPort Alt mode protocol through its USB-C port. Thunderbolt-enabled notebooks function at USB-C speeds. Charging and port replication is supported on notebooks that have USB-C industry specifications implemented.
