- Bit of an emotional day today, I had to leave Siem Reap to go to Phnom Penh so I can catch the bus to Ho Chi Minh City (Siagon) in Vietnam.
Leaving made me cry - you make some amazing connections and memories when travelling and Siem Reap feels like my home away from home.
I will be back soon!

Going to a hustle and bustle PP City and it's not like a sleepy SR City.
I grew up in PP City during the 60s and the city was so quiet and peaceful then before the war erupted in 1970. It seems just like yesterday. Only memory lives on.

That tuk tuk driver was hilarious. He did give you good advice about not using your phone to point with or else it could get snatched. Haha

I had only spent a few days in Siem Reap last time I traveled. I landed back in Bangkok miserable, the Kingdom of Wonder had stolen my heart. Next year I'll be traveling again, looking forward to my return. Might even spend a whole month in SR by itself lol. It's an enchanting place with wonderful folks

Cambodians are wonderful people who take time to learn English. I’m not sure the driver was crazy but please have more respect for the differences in culture and norms when you’re traveling 🙏🏽

The bus was $17 USD and about 6.5 hours.
Met one of my best friends whilst traveling about 15 years ago on a shuttle bus in New York city, they ended up coming to Australia for a couple of weeks, lucky enough we have managed to cross paths a couple of times since. Its amazing how connected we can become in such a short amount of time. Enjoy Phnom Penh and Safe Journeys Sarah.
It really is, I met the most beautiful friends there and they’re people who will be lifelong friends! It was sad leaving because I just love it there so much & all the people there. Sometimes home is more about the people than the place.

Thank you sweetheart for your heartfelt toward our Cambodia ,it’s the spirit of Baramey our ancestral energies that awaken you. I was born in Cambodia my parent were having a frugal lifestyle before the Genocides occur ! Like a blink of an eye we were force to leave our country I was only 3 years old during the Genocide happen . Twenty years later as I visit Cambodia , once our plane reach across the sky of Cambodia my whole body frame were feeling quite emotionally uneasy to sees the past memories the smell of my country the air the memories , as my flight landed on the ground , ill promise I was crying uncontrollably but silently trying to hold my tears even unable to speak until my beloved mother whisper in my ears stop crying my child for few mins I hold back my tears and we’re prepare to grab our luggage for heading out !!! Surely I will be moving back to Cambodia for my earlier retirement Love Cambodia ! Hope to cross your path someday to Siem Riep ! Please have a safe flight to Australia 💔🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🙏🙏

great vlog - I'm liking the style and the more unedited feel - it's great. The final destination moments would have had me climbing out of the bus lol. Just wondering...I've noticed on your vlogs that when you say hello to passers-by you speak Cambodian but when you talk to cats you speak English - so are these cats not local (lol sorry I couldn't resist). The tuk tuk driver was definately a strange one !!
