@@braindancer9254 It is technically the last song in the whole series (The End credits that is), and the lyrics just fit perfectly with the last episode.
Now that I think about it, both the end credits and the opening credits foreshadow the ending of the series. Interesting.

It fits everything so well, and the starting & ending parts - masterpieces.
I also find quite amusing the fact that the singer's name is Dawid. I guess it's a perfect match this song for the anime. Goosebumps throughout and a real life-changer, makes you think about so much stuff.

Great edit, didn't have to do much to improve what's already a perfect, raw song, didn't make any crazy tweaks like some channels do, just a quality extension. Someone sent me a link to this song before I'd even seen Edgerunners to have any emotional investment in it and it still hits.

I love the musical additions that you did both at the beginning and at the end of the song. I swear I thought they were part of the original song haha. This will also sound absurd, but I LOVE the tiny detail that Lucy's eyes appear JUST when the lyrics start playing, 0:57. It's a silly detail, but for me it adds some juice to this edit. I have my own interpretation of the songs, but I always love to see people have their own point of view
Best example is Love Theme, people share how the song makes them feel and its things I never thought about but make a lot of sense
@@braindancer9254 It's fantastic to hear that. And have you thought about editing other songs that appear on Edgerunners? Maybe "This Fffire", "I really want to stay at your house", etc? I mean, what you did with this song was NOT just slow it down as others have done, but you also gave it your little additions that, whether you like it or not, add a lot and differentiate it from other edits. And well, it would be great if you had plans to do the same with some other song from the anime :D

The screen effect blurred in synch with my eyes becoming more full of tears. Those eyes were angry and my eyes were angry right back but then at some point I wasn't even looking at eyes I was looking right into my own soul looking at me, somehow for a moment the game world and my world intermixed. I apologized for "letting" David get killed and she asked "why would you apologize?" and at that moment she accessed my memory of playing Cyberpunk 2077 and ending Adam Smasher's life as V at the end of a high leveled jinchu maru and the anger came back and then faded and then the song was over
Friends told me to watch Edgerunners, I decided "ok how bad could this be"
No one warned me of the pain that soon followed ;-;
If you are looking for similar emotions, I would suggest watching Arcane !
The animation is also top tier
Cowboy bebop, the original anime this studio did and tears you up just as much with the ending 😭 They mastered it back then and perfected it with edge runners 😭😭😭

There's a movie as well which was stand alone to the anime but worth watching after the anime.
