Smh don’t they know the rules clearly state that they need to do a round of final jeapordy, ante cards, and then play a subgame to cast a free colossal dreadmaw. Honestly weird that the judge didn’t know this well known rule, doubting his credentials rn
I guess the way to explain it to the judge would be like "Players cannot draw cards, and the three cards in the board are all the cards that are interacting. They can pass turn freely with no repercusions or change in game state. Do judge stuff"
Judge: "they're not taking game actions? ... they can still go around in turn order drawing cards" Noah: "Oh no ... they're not drawing cards" Judge: "They're not drawing cards in this mode??" Noah: "No they answer Jeopardy questions, you get the card, and then you play it if that makes more sense" Judge: 🤨
He forgot the whole "and they are all out of questions. In other modes they would have lost from running out of cards, but to attempt and draw they would need a question to answer" part.
This was beautiful. I love nothing more that jeopardy with people that don't understand biased opinions being answers. I don't know how you convinced CardMarket Magic to be in this video, but it was definitely the crossover that I needed. Next hopefully you can convince The Professor, Spice8rack, and Nizzahon to play. Then you will truly be the best MTG content creator
This is so much more fun than magic actually is. The applicability and possibilities are literally endless.. how about a wheel of fortune style game? Or mini-golf? Or even The Voice? It think you may have even convinced me to stop playing magic altogether and hone my powerpoint skills.
I don’t understand any of this but I love long form video of a bunch of friends having fun over something stupid that doesn’t even make sense, so thank you ily
As an unfortunate citizen of Occupied Southern Turtle Island (sometimes referred to as the United States) I gotta say not knowing US history is pretty based.
I think fish actually had a video that goes over the rule that would resolve the standoff at the end. It's the illicit auction/platinum angle interaction. If players can make choices, and continue to make the same choices, and that demonstrates a loop, then the first player to have made a choice cannot make the same choice again until there is a change in the board state. If they then don't cause a change in the board state the same is true for the next player. So on and so forth, until resolution. Basically, players would be forced to attack eventually. ... I think.
That was a lot of fun to watch. The other jeopardy video was a little bit more difficult for me because the people playing actually thought that there was some proper rulings going on but this was just good fun :)
You really stand out amongst MTG creators and all I can say is keep doing you! This was a fun idea and cool video to watch. I will now proceed to figure out a way to buy the remaining Dreadmaw's in existence. Thank you for you the fully credited and legal financial advice.
For those that don't know who Lilliana is, she's known to be one of the most greatest Magic the Gathering pros and is infamous for winning by focusing on making her opponents rage, thereby increasing the chances of them to make mistakes and overthink. She mainly uses Mono-red and Mono-white swarm decks.
Dude Noah. Your videos are hilarious! I especially love you tormenting people over jeopardy. Also keep making troll decks it's too hilarious! Your videos show you don't need super pretty editing to make entertaining content.
I can't believe 3 experience MTG players misread Accursed Centaur (ps I legit thought you were gonna bamboozle us and have Cardmarket Yugioh as guests instead)
3:16 one of my ideas here was “never” Cheating and illegal actions aren’t the same thing. I’m sure I’ve committed tons of illegal actions playing casually with friends, but it’s not like I was actively trying to cheat with a card up my sleeve or something. We just didn’t know better, and the game went on (The rules define illegal actions as anything that goes against how the game is supposed to work, e.g. “oops I tried to cast a sorcery at instant speed”, and it even provides details on exactly how to unwind accidental illegal actions. It doesn’t automatically constitute cheating)
That "Just like Arena" ftom Thoralf made my day. who said spectator mode a week after the worlds? I swear I will get your name! Really fun concept. Cheers!
I was sure I was wrong, but now that I know 2 people here are german. Are the blue backgrounds on your profilepictures the seats of a DB train? Looks exactly like it.
You can get the situation at the end in a real game if someone has Shared Fate out and everyone's burned through all their cards. With SF, players no longer draw cards, so no one can lose from decking. If there's a standoff, I believe it's a draw, since it's not actually a loop and can't be considered slow play.
I love these game shows I found your channel through the other gameshow you did and I love your sense of humor. I wish I wasn't a broke college student or I would definitely join but you always get my like and I stay subscribed. I'll hit that bell rq too lol
I was thinking 104.3k for some reason, winning with 104.3k is pretty difficult under current policy rules. It was still really difficult but easier back when you could just play Tabernacle and give them creatures with forbdden orchard to make them have triggers to miss. Now that you are responsible for their tabernacle triggers if it is your tabernacle, it is more difficult.
well actually the US declared war in 1812 but the fighting and major battles could not begin until 1814 because the french were once again losing a war to the british because the french lose everything
The way you asked for me to subscribe and how you spoke to the judge as if it should make perfect sense was perfect. 17/10 Colossal Dreadmaws. Subscribed.
22:00 I think you should have had the deadlock breaker be "If all 3 players pass, then the next player must attack, unless they were previously forced to attack more often than an opponent". That means a player in an advantageous situation can't just be ganged up on (after being forced to attack). So at 18:30, Thoralf would have to attack as the first to have passed. It loops around for another deadlock, but this time Thoralf was already forced to attack, so Carl must attack. It seems more "fair", since Thoralf had an big board advantage and the only way he loses is if he has to attack first AND both opponents team up on him.
Fun fact Noah takes 1 damage the correct answer to a deck of playing cards question is actually 55 a generic brand insert card and two jokers are always included

You should make a Magic: the Gathering deck entirely out of yugioh cards.
