I've been vacationing in Truro since I was a baby, and at 34 now, I'm so surprised that I've never heard of this story. I'm sure they try to suppress any murder stories because it's such a massive tourist destination. The cemeteries around the upper Cape are terrifying! They're so old and creepy, yet beautiful at the same time.
I'm from cape cod, sandwich, the graves/crypts in the 3 oldest cemeteries in town (I grew up in the oldest part of town. est. 1637!), are from the 1600's-1700's. They are fascinating, sometimes the epitaphs, sometimes large family crypts from 1687 through 1792. That families life must have been very different. The oldest house in town is a museum now called the hoxie house, built in 1643, it's a trip! 90 percent of our tourists are very senior but I wish people my age, 42, appreciated history as much as the older generations. Don't come for me, I know lots of people my age are history buffs, just saying, I see it firsthand.

One of my 12yr old school mates, in the 6th grade, ran away from home with a 32 yr old man and her boa constrictor. It was all over the front page of the newspaper in our town. Her parents not only gave their permission for her to marry this guy, but they also paid for the wedding and let the creep move in with them. A few years later, they both ended up in prison for getting babysitting jobs and helping her husband molest the children.
Good lord how horrible. I hope they stay a long time. We don’t know if he forced her to do it ,because that’s why these guys get a young person to tempt the other kids to go home with them or something.
@@blazefairchild465 well, I was the same age, and those kind of guys or even the subject of sex wasn’t even a thought in my mind, so I can’t imagine being lured in like she was. I never knew what happened to her. This was the late 70’s early 80’s
@@blazefairchild465 yeah, she was innocent, but he probably paid attention to her and made her feel older. These guys have it down to a science. I'm not sure what her home life was like, as I didn't know her personally, but she was unpopular at school and got bullied a lot because someone noticed she had ringworm on her ankle in P.E. one day, and she paid for it the rest of the year. Funny how the biggest bullies were the ones acting so shocked and worried about her when the story came out in the paper. Her parents should have been locked up for neglecting her in that way
My heart breaks for all these women and young tweens because they were so young and this monster had so many chances and kept getting away with horrible crimes

Recovering from sinus surgery and on some heavy-duty pain meds… is that gonna stop me watch a TiM 1am drop entirely in hopes someone thinks it’s a mannequin? Hell, no!!
I actually lived 2 doors down from this house. He is known as "Tony Chop Chop". I didnt move there until 2007, but i know the whole story has always been hushed by the townies. We don't have a lot of crime in Ptown.... but I always heard people walk by & say "this is the murder house". It's nice that you covered this story. Ive never been able to find out exactly what happened. I always enjoy yr thoroughness & objective approach to each of yr stories. Keep up the great work.
Man looking back on it now; it's actually pretty anxiety inducing to remember and think of the days where we didn't have cellphones.. it's so much easier to go completely missing. Investigation would be harder. Navigation is much harder, obtaining evidence is much harder because someone couldn't just take a video of something sketchy they see.. the list goes on and on.. it's just eerie to think when you go out, you go without a lifeline in case of an emergency. You have no cellphone when you leave your house to go out, so if something happens, the only way you'll have a way to reach help is if you get the opportunity to use a phone from a store, a payphone, or a strangers home landline... (All that very much stresses me out now that I've seen the perspective of "having a portable phone for an emergency & for staying in touch with people in general. If kidnapped phones can be pinged, investigators can do searches into the phone's call log, text log, Google searches, photo/video library, etc " ~ You can imagine just how many Case's went unsolved back then because of lack of resources for investigators.. I wonder how many killers got away Scott free, how many missing people never got found? That's where the anxiety comes from. For people in general, I feel terrible for any family that had to experience that level of wishing you knew where your loved one disappeared to and how? Ugh, that's tuff.
I feel like we hear about a lot more crazy people being violent, and murders, and it seems like we are always finding a serial Miller or sociopathic kid….an old man who kidnaps and murders girls…but i think the old days were like game of thrones. No cellphones?! Omg. Everyone was prob killing people.
Ben McReynolds, Apparently you didn't grow up in that era. 😁 You know that saying, *'You don't miss what you don't know?' There were phone booths everywhere. We had maps for navigation.😮 We even hitch-hiked😱. Somehow we survived 😂. You wrote (looking back)..so perhaps I'm wrong about your age. To me, there's no anxiety. I have more stress/anxiety now with a cell phone and a G.P.S. to depend upon! ✌️ Health and happiness 😊🌻
You are so right. Now it’s hard to imagine that when I grew up, my only way to check in with my parents was when I called them on a pay phone. But otherwise, they had no way to contact me. I can’t imagine letting my child leave without being able to contact him at all times. It’s just what we’re accustomed to. What’s really sad with this case is the case of John Wayne Gacy, All those boys who had disappeared were dismissed by authorities as being runaways, despite parents pleading otherwise. What a horrible thing for parents to go through. I appreciate this channel so much because we don’t want these victims and their families to be forgotten.
@@tessaducek5601 Miss Tessa, Thank you. I had forgotten we had no seat belts!🤔 So much freedom! Those wood sided station wagons were roomy! And, of course, no helmets when riding a bike. 😁 If you took a tumble on your bike, you brushed yourself off, got a bandaid or two, and went right back on the bike!🚴♀️🚲 Now, the children are padded to their eyeballs, and if they crash, 'helicopter parent' rushes in with first aid! 😆 As for bank accounts--I worked as a bookkeeper and we used pen and paper!! Plus, I didn't worry about my bank accounts getting "Hacked". Or someone stealing my identity. In my opinion, there was more privacy. Now, the world can know every single detail of your life. Some of the information may be fabricated. Now I know when my neighbor passes gas. 👃 They need to post it on social media. 🤨Recall when a person insulted you!? It was in your face, not hiding behind a keyboard! I pray you have peace, health and happiness in your life. ✨💛🌻🌼

In Grand Rapids, Michigan we have had many murders in the 90's. Some were "ladies of the night." They are unsolved. There has been an arrest of one person, recently, but no other info. Maybe, y'all could find out something that makes a difference. These ladies were of Value, regardless, of their issues. Their families would be so grateful.🙏 Y'all do an amazing service. Thanky'all.
Michigan has had many murders even in the 80s many children kid napped and killed. And lots of ladies of the night in the 80 and 90 Detroit area also. Seemed like someone or more traveling around a lot even in surrounding states. I always warned my kids I was raising to watch out and warned them never go to a second place with anyone. Some ones were driving round looking for victims.
This case gives me similar vibes to the Michigan murders ~"The Quarterback that rode a motorcycle serial killer" •John Normon Collins• (it's the way they treated and tricked the girls and hid their evilness most of the time)
Gotta say these stories have encouraged me to study the narcissist, sociopath and psychopath traits to enable my safety. They're living with us, and overlooked by most until it's to late.

I am now 50 years old but in 2004 we found out that my 6-month pregnant baby had a chromosomal defect and wouldn't be able to survive outside my womb which by the way would be illegal now, my DNC... I would be forced to give birth and the baby would die slowly but that's not what this is about. After I lost the baby my husband couldn't come home from the army to be there for me and I had endometriosis and was on painkillers until I had to have a hysterectomy eventually. Meanwhile I became hooked on Vicodin and called in my own prescriptions for a year or so and of course got caught. I served 3 years away from my four kids and husband all who never knew that I had an addiction in the first place because I hid it well and never exposed my children. Meanwhile so many violent offenders get off with probation! We seriously need to overhaul our entire justice system. No judge even gives you the time of day if you have no lawyer to represent you. You are definitely guilty until proven innocent in our justice system in the U.S.

I so look forward to your videos! Thank you xx

Love this channel
Thanks for another great video. One of my favourite crime channels.
Thanks for the Upload right on time 😌
One of my 12yr old school mates, in the 6th grade, ran away from home with a 32 yr old man and her boa constrictor.
Her parents should have been locked up for neglecting her in that way
The parents are as bad as him. You don't give your children to pedophiles.
Oh My Goodness ,that's sickening .I've seen far to many cases where parents r horrible to their children and this sounds so sick and twisted .
Sweet! I love your videos.. excellent timing! I like your voice. :)
Me 2
My heart breaks for all these women and young tweens because they were so young and this monster had so many chances and kept getting away with horrible crimes
You know more monsters than I ever realized existed. You must have a whole logbook full of them. Thank you for your hard work. I appreciate that you bring many monsters to attention of us. Well seasoned true crime viewers. What I mean by that is you have many monsters to tell us about that I’ve never heard of, many thanks
Recovering from sinus surgery and on some heavy-duty pain meds… is that gonna stop me watch a TiM 1am drop entirely in hopes someone thinks it’s a mannequin? Hell, no!!
For a brief moment I thought this was a story from Truro, Cornwall, UK!
I had to replay this 3 times. For some reason even though you’re talking about something gruesome you’re voice or cadence lulls me to sleep. 🤷🏼♀️
I listen to old ones jus to b put to sleep lol
Same
I actually lived 2 doors down from this house.
I visit frequently to the cape i.e Truro and ptown-where is the house located
I had known this story but your telling was much more detailed and informative. Many thanks.
Best timing ever😭
Ugh, that's tuff.
and didnt have security cams.
Ben McReynolds,
Apparently you didn't grow up in that era. 😁
You know that saying, *'You don't miss what you don't know?' There were phone booths everywhere. We had maps for navigation.😮 We even hitch-hiked😱.
Somehow we survived 😂.
You wrote (looking back)..so perhaps I'm wrong about your age. To me, there's no anxiety.
I have more stress/anxiety now with a cell phone and
a G.P.S. to depend upon!
If you took a tumble on your bike, you brushed yourself off, got a bandaid or two, and went right back on the bike!🚴♀️🚲
Now, the children are padded to their eyeballs, and if they crash, 'helicopter parent' rushes in with first aid!
Your voice is so easy to listen to, so with that and your occasional sarcastic remarks I find your channel very enjoyable. Keep up the good work and good humour.
Wow, I have never heard of this monster. Thank you for all you do.
I LOVE seeing a new This is Monsters videos!!!
Susan was so young that her underwear was labeled with the day of the week, and the townsfolk heard “she ran away with drug enthusiasts” and thought that made sense!?!
I know bizarre right
It is SO scary that a good looking, seemingly fairly normal guy can be that sick and twisted. He was a special kind of sick and crazy .
He was ugly though.
They always look normal. Well except for Otis Toole and his freaky looking side kick.
@@IdahoRanchGirl yeah. Those two are never going to look normal. It's freaky how many serial killers are good looking.
PLEASE DO THE JEFF DAVIS 8. i’d love to hear your input. it has everything you need for a great story. Pimps, Prostitutes, Crooked Cops, Crazy Detectives, & it’s one of Louisiana’s greatest mysteries. and it’s recent. thank you for your videos. they get me through work.
This sounds so interesting, I'm doing my own research now. Thank you for the suggestion, I hope he does it. I love the way he covers cases.
Aww I hate “mysteries” - I want endings
Yay uploaded just in time for bedtime story.
Good morning and thank you for a great video! Looking forward to the new themed seasons.
New England has loads of British town names.
love your vids man
Thank you 🙏 for everything you do for us!! I know how difficult it is.
Jiles, I love to hear you say “This is Monsters “ because I know that a good story is coming
I look so forward to watching your episodes, like it was for me when I was a child looking forward to watching Saturday morning cartoons.💖
OMG, I was a Chef for a few seasons in PTown. It's an incredible place! I had totally forgot about this but the locals always used to bring it up.
This case gives me similar vibes to the Michigan murders ~"The Quarterback that rode a motorcycle serial killer" •John Normon Collins• (it's the way they treated and tricked the girls and hid their evilness most of the time)
That's got to be the worst serial killer name of them all. TQBTRAMSK
Hey Jiles! Make a video on this case!
Gotta say these stories have encouraged me to study the narcissist, sociopath and psychopath traits to enable my safety.
They're living with us, and overlooked by most until it's to late.
I absolutely cannot wait for this channel to reach its first million subscribers. I am throwing a celebratory spooky party when it happens 🖤
Since he was an informant. I'm surprise all his minions didn't call him Snitch.
Wow I’m reading the book called The Babysitter about this guy.
Me too
Good work on the video 📸, thanks again I appreciate your time and iñformation on your channel keep up the good work ❤️ . My condolences to the family members of the Case 🙏🏿❤️. Looking forward for the next video. Jiles you are doing great 👍,
I love the "if you're a victim of domestic abuse" talk at the end because when I was being abused as silly as it sounds I didn't know It was abuse until I was told...he wasn't physically abusing me so it was hard to know as I got sucked into it slowly...I know this case is very severe I'm just saying you never know who is lost and needs messages like these...also you rock thank you for the educational videos!
Thankyou Jiles you are a great true crime storyteller and Mass ? Has many sick cases i grew up in western Mass . always a huge fan back in the day i read all books I'm just fascinated
I once stumbled into an unknown horror as well.. it was called This is Monsters. And it gives me regular uploads of creepy content, so I'm good with it. ✌️
Another GREAT video. Thank you!
This man is a true monster. Thank you for the upload.👍
I've been waiting up all night for this!! 😫🤣
I just love Police who actually act on it such as 'a feeling the air had something strange' in it! This is a cops 'gut feeling' and the good ones act on that feeling. Good thing these guys were that good.
Right on time!
I couldn’t imagine being a detective. Some of the things you see..
I live on Cape Cod and we were just talking about this case! Some of us locals call Truro “Torso”
Thank you, I couldn't 😴 and nobody is awake doing morse code lol
Wish I kne2 Morse code
Hope you sleep some
I'm up all night here

"Does that ever work out?"
Ohhhh you kill me Jiles🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
Best way to start the morning…
“monsters usually uploads in the middle of the night when i can’t sleep, let me go check…”
yep! you always come through. thank youuuuuuuu! 🤗🌟🤍
I'm from Boston and never heard of this guy. Sad that such young and beautiful women had their lives snatched away, and in the most horrendous way too. This guy was an absolute MONSTER........
I Hope all is well with you my friend!❤️🙏🏼❤️
Is the 'other' Truro murders the Truro, South Australia murders? That is a horrific case where 6 young girls and women were killed, the actual killer died before he could be prosecuted, his 'partner' died in prison.
The Devils Lettuce lol that gave me a good laugh 🤣
This is heart breaking. I cannot believe these assholes! 😒 Hunting women down, shooting arrows in them, hacking them up and then glorifies the violence to the media! God please let these criminals rot eternally in hell.
"Wherever you go, there you are." You certainly can't escape your demons by moving.
😰👀😈
Thank you...this is monsters for........all the true crime you tube videos this year 2022 we our truly greatful for all the hard work dedication you put into each and every video you make..yep its true we appreatite you....happy Christmas to you to god bless you and hope yall have a blast from me to you from rachel uk bideford devon 😊🎅
I love how you tell 80 percent of the story in the intro. 😢
Cookie 😍 such a beautiful dog.
Your channel and dreading are my favorite ones.
"Pelvicly eviscerated" Those two words should never be next to each other.
I'm from Truro...Nova Scotia. It is weird seeing my tiny town's name in print.
I swear, EVERY judge is willing to give in when some mother’s “precious son” is in their courthouse sobbing for leniency. I’m fucking sick of women dying because judges give in to the whims of boys.
I wanted to slap the shit out of his mom!
I kept this tab open to say something but hours, Rare Earth, and stinky weed have made me forget... so
keep up the great channel brother!!
OH! I love how dedicated you are to the ending line calling them a Monster. Question about your process, so you make that line first or do you just write it in naturally at the end?
Its ok if you don't reply, love you anyway! Thanks for your great videos, perfect respect and not self centered behavior like showing your face or being cringey.
God bless this podcast ❤
You are such a gifted writer.
Love your uploads 👌🏼
How does a human being get this fkd up?
Good morning monsters 🌹
