  • James Daveggio and Michelle were both evil people who fed off of each other. They got excitement from forcing other people to do what they wanted. When that wasn't enough to get them off, they had to escalate their crimes.

I grew up with Jim in the early 1970's in Union City, CA. I met him when I was in 2nd grade at Alvarado Elementary School. My father helped him get on the Union City football League, The Raiders. He went to church with my family and I on several occasions. Ate at my dinner table and went to lake with us. When he and his family were moving to Pleasanton he came over to my house hugged me and said good bye. Later when he was 18yrs old he showed up at my house. He took my brother, sister and I to the Southland Mall in Hayward. I believe I was 15yrs old at the time. Anyways, I asked him if he would like to come downstairs with me to the Arcade, he refused and stayed upstairs with my brother and sister. I took the elevator. As soon the doors open a man quickly walked into the elevator and grabbed me. He tried to pull me in but I fought him off. I immediately ran up the stairs. When I got to the top Jim was standing there, I told him what happened. He right away looked around then said "I'm not going to do anything about it". I felt horrible after what he said. Later on in the years I realized that Jim planned on having me kidnapped and this man that grabbed me was his partner in it. I can't believe I went to the Drive In Theater with this man later that night. I really dodged a bullet that day. God kept my brother, my sister and I in his protection.

His first accomplice had a gun and threatened a woman they kidnapped with it, but he told him to 'knock it off'. Hes a sick, evil predator who gets off on forcing women into assaults, but i think the drowning of his first gf freaked him out and that wasnt going to be his MO in future. But then he met Michelle.

These are some f'd up people! It's scary that these people walk amongst us, or at least used to. I will never understand how someone can be the monsters that you give us details about.
My sister-in-law was murdered at 7.5 months pregnant. The monster broke into her house and stabbed her to death with her own knife. He served 25 years and now walks freely in my city.
These stories remind me that there are some very depraved monsters out there. Thank you for all of the time you put into your episodes Jiles.

A family member of mine worked with Gerald Gallego for a few years in the 70s (while he was actively committing crimes) and also met Charlene. Gerald was a butcher in a grocery store chain, while my family member was the manager of the produce department in the same store location. He said the guy always gave him the creeps, and he knew Gerald was sick in the head, so wasn’t surprised when he found out he and Charlene were serial killers.
He (family member) also worked in the other departments in grocery stores (staff did rotations in each department for a few months) so also worked under a butcher, and was disgusted with the job. Says it’s fitting that someone that could handle breaking down a half side of beef bare handed, also committed the acts he did on humans. (Please google the Gallegos for reference on their crimes, they are far too brutal for me to describe.)
Also- no hate to any butchers. It is a very skilled job, and unfortunately there are the few people who take advantage of their occupation to learn how to effectively torture people. And some people just aren’t cut out for for the job.

I just got off jury duty from a three week trial. People whine about our system or being on jury duty. I've been chosen twice. They tossed 40 people before they settled on the twelve of us. You'd be very happy if you were on trial and your lawyer was doing everything they could to save you.
Everyone should serve and see exactly how our system works and be very grateful we have it. We found the person guilty after threatening a senator via his website with a rifle. Not the smartest thing to do in this day and age. Especially when he had one to do it with.

These kinds of controlling people usually have personality disorders or are sociopaths and psychopaths. They are without a doubt master manipulators and they can control others through fear, drugs, among other tactics. However, what I can’t understand is how they can have so much control over someone that they would allow themselves to become complicit in such vile and disgusting acts not to mention murder just to please them. It is absolutely sickening! Talk about a life of total depravity!😝🤢
