You keep it simple and do not overwhelm us newbies with all of the deep functions that Nokta has incorporated . That target id card would be great for American coins as well. I’ve created my own small version for excel that I printed but it’s not always entirely accurate.
Great video Ed. It's true that most people making detecting videos are only concerned with the capabilities of the machine and not with the skill of the operator. Often an inferior machine in the hands of a person who knows how to use it can outhunt a superior machine in the hands of someone who doesn't.

Great tip on the Legend reset ED it worked perfect. So I headed out to a local park with my Legend full of confidence that I would surely find the treasures everyone else had missed using the park mode . Yep there was treasure!! I found many coins, a lot of pull tabs and loads of foil pieces each one of them was a thrill. That was until I realised that #'s 11 and 28 were foil and pull tabs, " not to exciting anymore". I watched your excellent video on discrimination and will use the info next time out but I'm wondering will I miss any valuable jewelry targets if I notch out 1-20 in Custom park mode? Thanks Mark
There's a lot of gold out there from 11-28 (even lower than that). But it does get exhausting pulling a ton of pulltabs. But it's worth the wait once some gold pops out. My most recent beautiful 10k ring with a big blue sapphire and diamonds.
Also v nickels, buffalos and Jefferson's are around 21-27 usually. I just realized your comment is from 8 months ago, I'm sure your already quite familiar with it all by now.
Just ordered mine today. I paid a little more for extra battery and coil covers. First sight had a cheap coil on it, thankfully I noticed before purchasing it.
Hi Ed, first off this was a totally awesome video . I wish I saw this video first and was included with my Legend strongly advising a new user to watch it first before going any further. I started by reading the manual that came with the Legend . This was very frustrating and hard to comprehend not knowing the terminology or the machine . Being new to this hobby I of course had to play with and mess around with all of the settings while reading the manual. Now I am not sure that the detector is set to the default levels in the four preset programs. Can you tell me what those presets should be for all of the features in each program? Or is there an easy way to reset everything back to factory default settings? Really glad I had subscribed to your channel and look to see what else you had it really helped And I will be watching all the others about the legend, Notka should hire you!! Hi Mark, thanks for the amazing comment! There is a shortcut to set all the settings to default. If you go to the icon which looks like a man and hold the ✅/❎ it will reset them all to default. Ed

I just got a nokta legend and live near a freshwater beach. Not salt water beach. Do I still use beach mode or should I use park or field instead?
Any mode will work great 👍
Freshwater has no impact on performance but salt water does.
