  • I love the Boss Micro BR, it's one of my favourite tools out of all the things I've reviewed. The design and operating system are just superb - but let's see how it sounds in the effects department.

    Nice review! I'm thinking of buying one used to replace my current Lexicon audio interface, so I can do portable digital recording. BTW, I'd like to second the question: Can you connect it straight to a guitar amp and use those effects real-time? I'm thinking of using it to replace my Digitech RP as well. Thank you!

      Hi Enzo, yes you can connect it to an amp, but it's best if your amp has AUX-in. If you plug in to the guitar input on the amp, you'll only get the left side of the signal, so stereo effects will all be halved. :) Gearfacts

    Thanks again! From this and other videos and reviews I´ve seen, I agree that amp and effects simulations are not spectacular; they are just good enough if you want to build something to work on later. The recording feature is indeed a big plus. Not saying it´s a bad unit at all, I still like it for what it is: in such a tiny package offers a lot. You can still get them used at reasonable prices. Will still be on my radar. Nice work, thanks! The venezuelan friend. Cheers!

      Pressione o botão MP3 TRAINER até que a caixa "MP3" NÃO apareça na tela.
      Prima UTILITY.
      Pressione TR2 (TRK).
      Pressione o botão CURSOR direito.
      Pressione TR1 (IMP).
      Use os botões CURSOR e VALUE [-] [+] para selecionar o arquivo de áudio que deseja converter em dados de faixa.
      Espero que isso ajude

    Question please, does the BR export audio the way it receives it, for instance does the recording export with lower volume than it received it?...i hope that was the best way to ask dat...lol

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  6 років тому +1

      You have to balance it when you record i.e. boost/cut the input power so you get good volume without clipping. Exporting recordings is done using software, so you get an exact replication. Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)

    Hello need some guide to record using a line in, so many menu and configurations, aswell how to format a 2GB SD Card to function with this Digital Recorder. Thanks

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  7 років тому +2

      Press the IMPUT button over on the right side of the screen, then press the third rectangular button under the screen - this will activate LINE IN as the recording source. To format a card, press UTILITY then CARD then INI (for initialise). Thanks for watching Gearfacts, and please mention my channel to other ppl who might be interested :)

      Thanks Gearfacts! Afterall im still confuse with the guideline to record using the Line In, cause we have a lot of chanels to record with v-tracks and 8 chanels into the channels, in the same time you could record in stereo with channel 1 and 2 selected or just mono when you select just channel 1, thats the part im not shure, nice channel and keep it comming with these videos! Cheers bro.

    İ have one of these, the only good thing on this unit is the built-in microphone. And the design is fantastic, i'm keeping this as an 'item'.

    The effects are DISGUSTING! I bought one when I started electric guitar out of a reccomandation and it juste made me stop enjoy playing before I bought something else. I thought that was a guitar tone. what a waste of money.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  4 роки тому +3

      In its defense, it might not be a complete waste of money. You've still got the 4-track recording, a decent microphone and the drum machine. And even though the drive sounds are very digital, there are still simple effects like delays and reverbs that can put a bit of shine on your recordings. There's not much else out there for $100 that gives you all of that :)

      About 10 of the effects are decent to very good, which I think is reasonable for the price. Especially considering most people will do the actual mixing and mastering on a laptop or whatever. There are a lot of useless effects, though, I agree.

      @@cesarvalerio4292 To record, I'd use a headphone double-adapter. Put the pin in the Volca, then attach one line to your headphones and the other to the MicroBR. Then you can record whatever you play/hear.

    What is the SD capacity?

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  5 років тому

      I have a bad feeling that 2GB is the maximum. The 128mb card supplied with it gives enough to do two or three songs though, you just have to back it up frequently.
