  • Just a little follow up to the brake rotor and anti-seize rotor video. Brake areas on cars are more prone to rust than any other area of the car. If you can't open your bleeder valves, because they are corroded shut, then you can't do a proper brake job. Manufacturers recommend do a brake bleed every two years.

    Wow, I don't know how I have done thousands of brake jobs over decades without being able to loosen bleeders in the heart of the salt belt

      You state you can't do a brake job unless you can loosen bleeder screws and I am telling you this is not so. Yea, it would be nice to open bleeders and do a full brake flush with every reline, but that is not reality in the North East climate.@@oldguyramblings

      Actually, I never state you can't do a brake job unless you loosen the bleeder valve. You can change pads without doing anything with the bleeder valves.
      But if you do want to do a flush, you need to be able to loosen the bleeder valves.
      According to manufacturers specs, you should flush the brakes every two years.@@stevestadnik9206
