What do you get with an AdventureVanMan video?......Slow moving waves of a lake, small creatures tending to their business, leaves waving in the wind, the sun peering over yonder, a bite of something tasty and a steaming hot cup of coffee. You get a reason to smile in the morning 😃
I have to laugh at how much we in the SW sub tortillas for traditional American bread. When I lived in the Midwest they were hard to find but now you can buy ready made refried beans & torts everywhere. Yay for variety.
Who else opens Google Maps while watching Brian's videos to see where he is coming from, going to, and staying each time, basically following his route!
The nuances of your traveling lifestyle are particularly enjoyable for me. Making your breakfast in the morning, your dinner in the evening, setting up and breaking down camp, traveling down a pretty yet isolated road (explaining exactly where you are to benefit others in their future travels), exploring local areas where you are camped. Thank you for sharing your nomad life with those of us who not often get to leave the armchair. :-)
I immediately thought tornado safe zones, but it’s a real shame to see such nice structures falling into disrepair. I hope they are in the process of renovating them per the new slabs. A couple of screen doors and windows would keep the birds out, and those big ones would make fantastic party pavilions. Throw in a few solar panels, and they could have lights.
That last park is what it will be like after the apocalypse. You ended the vid on a nice note ... rain on the van top and some good comfort food. Thanks for posting, I am envious.
Thanks, Brian.. Wonderful to share the road with you and seeing places I dream of. You are now able to be classified as regular employee with sugar beet harvest now, aren't you? If so will you be doing that? Do you think you will return again next year?
We stayed in Vermillion a year or so ago! My wife and I met at school in Vermillion at the University of South Dakota in 1974! It has played a big role in our lives. We both got our degrees there and it was a great place for my daughter too! Fun to see you camped there.
You are one of my regular visits on UA-cam and are missed when life takes you away Brian. Great to have you back so we can follow your journey to the southwest for the caravans Bob Wells is putting together for the months before the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous. It will be wonderful getting your perspective on all of that. Happy trails...
good to see you back on the road and making your "signature" style of video - one that we all enjoy - i always enjoy some van-style cooking and honestly, for the viewers at home like myself, just some shots hanging in the van, listening to the rain, are awesome …. helps to imagine the sense of freedom the van life must bring …. in addition to the many challenges i am sure …. grass is always greener , sounds easy enough…. thanks Brian… safe travels as you head back to the warm lands …. peace from vancouver island .
Great to see you back on the road Brian! Those were some really neat old stone buildings, and the river with the autumn leaves was beautiful. As always, thanks for bringing us with you on your travels and Peace! -Dale
You seem to always found the best places to camp. I like those areas because a purses got time to reflect on his own life.. Happy journey’s and most of all be safe.
Brian, we just waved to you on highway 70 when you were passing Holloman AFB. We love your videos. Let us know if you’re ever coming back through here again and we can take you out to lunch and you can see our Class A Southwind Sally. You inspired us to live in an RV full-time. One of us is retired Air Force the other is still active duty so we are stationed at Holloman AFB for a few years and live in the FamCamp on base. Dan and Kevin
Hey Dan and Kevin! Im so sorry, I should have pulled over to say hi. You caught me off guard. I thought you were signaling me that something was wrong with my van at first! Lol😆 Then I realized you were saying hello. Anyway I wish you two the best with your RV life. Hopefully our paths cross again! 👍✌
Your videos are always so relaxing. You have an eye for filming the great outdoors. What a glorious, golden autumn day you filmed. My walk last Sunday in a cemetery was amazing too; a lone hawk, birds swooping, gold, red and goldenred leaves falling between veterans gravestones. It had me amazed. Peace
Great video Brian. You are spending time in beautiful places. I love much of the acoustic background music you include. Happy to see the cooking sequence, you cannot go wrong with tacos🌮. Look forward to your next video
You seem in better spirits, that is good to see! I always enjoy your your videos and your travels...you are doing what I cannot so live vicariously thru you and fir that I sat thanks! God bless you and stay safe and warm!
Wow, Brian, memories, I stayed in the Lions Club Park in June 2003 on a cross country bicycle ride following the Lewis & Clark trail. We showered in the Armory. Enjoy following your adventure. 👍🏽
Brian, it's great to see you back on the Tube again. The color of the grasses around the stone campground building was amazing. I hope it wasn't a filter or camera trick, cause that was the most fall colored grass I've ever seen. Keep on Truckin' and sharing your amazing photo skills.
Its been a while since we saw some food on your videos. I miss the actual cooking sequence, they were fun. That "Dang" lol! it is your catchphrase isnt it? Thanks for the update van man, I always look forward to em.
That's a nice out of the way camp spot. Since your usually near a river or lake did you ever consider throwing a line in and trying to land a few fish? It would be a great pass time and strech the food budget. I love the WPA builds the use of the natural materials in the projects and the quality of the construction is evident in condition that they are in to this day. Might be another addition to the videos! They are all over the country. Get to the warmer weather and Happy travels. Beeps.
Nice video. Lions was a nice park. Beautiful fall leaves, water and sunrises. You find some really nIce spots. Antelope prob a little nicer in the spring. But for free, can't complain, lol. Don't blame you for making your way south. Thanks for taking us. Safe travels. 😊👍
I stayed in that exact spot back this summer :) The hot showers on the back side of the bathrooms were nice to have access to along with the free water and power! Cool little town.
Good to see you back on the road again, looking forward to seeing you back in the groove, nice to see you are willing to work a job, now enjoy your travels relax and have some fun. Keep JESUS IN YOUR HEART, HE LOVES YOU, Thanks for the video.
DANG!!! I love your video’s! Our love to you for all you do. Even while going thru the passing of a loved one.” She loved your channel as well.” A morning with an AVM video is a refreshing diversion to my day✌️🚐💞
I'm always pleased when AdventureVanMan resurfaces. I wish I could hop in my van and head for AZ to join your caravan but I haven't sold my house in Illinois yet. Safe travels.
Great to see you back! Beautiful autumn color. I understand you being gone from UA-cam during your seasonal jobs, but I sure do miss you when you're gone! Travel Safe
WPA projects. They did a lot of that back in the 30's. I noticed on Wikipedia that nearly every city and town got a new park. They update ours with a new roof once in a while. I swear the one outhouse still has the old, heavy wooden door and latch, though. It's massive.
Really interesting tour of the area, and thanks to Karin Corbin for the excellent explanation of how those structures came to be. The WPA was an excellent program, and with our current infrastructure crisis I can't help but think the time is ripe to resurrect it.
Lewis and Clark crossed the Missouri river just down from where our homestead was when I was coming up. The Great Falls were what brought them down river where we lived.
That Park you camped in with everything overgrown and the old Stone buildings gave me the creeps really bad. I have expect Bigfoot to come walking out of the woods straight at you LOL. Don't mind me I watch too many Bigfoot videos. 😜😳☺️✋
It feels strange (to me) that when I see videos like yours, where the trees are either bare or bright orange, the trees here are *just now* starting to turn colors. There may be 3 or 4 leaves on each tree that are yellow or a slight reddish orange. But... I do live in the northernmost part of the "tropical" zone here in extreme southeastern Virginia. It's gonna be mid 70's today & upper 70's tomorrow. Nice!
What do you get with an AdventureVanMan video?......Slow moving waves of a lake, small creatures tending to their business, leaves waving in the wind, the sun peering over yonder, a bite of something tasty and a steaming hot cup of coffee. You get a reason to smile in the morning 😃

Yesss..... even the satellite pics to find the exact spot he parked.
It's great to know we share the same problem.....
You're not alone any more....
🤫 We're stalkers.
Old school Brian video, that’s what I fell in love with!
Brian, great to see you, and thanks for all the positive vibe, food, nature and travel moments. Peace
Good morning my Friend, it is wonderful to wake up to a good cup of coffee and a video from you! Yes, life is good!
🤩 Away we go. 😎 LIFE IS GOOD! 🚐 The adventure continues. Thanks for sharing your travels. I enjoy tagging along. ✌🏿
Me too

This felt like your video's from a couple years back.
Lil cooking lil camping with some sightseeing thrown in for good measure love it😁
Dang is right! Man, you are making tracks! I've missed your cooking videos. Thanks for sharing those chicken tacos with us. :)
Glad to see your cooking has returned!

Squirrel: I know I put that nut here....somewhere.
Lion's Clubs are fantastic. Thankful for WPA also.

Watin, waitin, waitin, and YES I get up this morning and there you are!!
Hi Brian what a neat couple of camps really like them thank you for filming
I love how you captured the fall foliage. Just beautiful!
That last park is what it will be like after the apocalypse. You ended the vid on a nice note ... rain on the van top and some good comfort food. Thanks for posting, I am envious.

You seemed very "relaxed" there Brian .... Glad you are doing better now, Sir !!! :) SAFE travels on your voyage south to warmer weather ....
New video! Highlight of the day!!
It's always a pleasure when AVM posts. I had hoped you might bump into him before you returned to New Zealand. Maybe next time.
KuraQueen yeh I would love to meet him!!

Always great to watch your video with my morning coffee while yours is brewing.
Your videos are a gift and a treasure. Thank you.
You seem to always found the best places to camp. I like those areas because a purses got time to reflect on his own life.. Happy journey’s and most of all be safe.
I love to hear the rain on my roof too. Neat park. You're right it really does seem like it's abandoned. Thanks for the great video! :-D

Its nice to see you back on the road,it’s been a minute 😉I’ve always enjoyed all the places you camp at,I can’t wait to get back out there👍🏼😊
Nothing better than a quiet, isolated location, cool weather and rain for a good nights sleep.
Wow, Brian, memories, I stayed in the Lions Club Park in June 2003 on a cross country bicycle ride following the Lewis & Clark trail. We showered in the Armory. Enjoy following your adventure. 👍🏽
Pretty cool these stone buildings...
Take Care Brian

Really enjoying my vicarious tour of the USA.... this was a particularly good video, thanks.

Great to see you back! Beautiful autumn color. I understand you being gone from UA-cam during your seasonal jobs, but I sure do miss you when you're gone! Travel Safe
Beautiful fall colors.
What beautiful stonework on all those buildings. And the Park seems to be basically abandoned? How strange!
Always excited to see a new AVM video. Stay safe my friend ✌🏼
Such a beautiful park. I would surely head south to! Enjoying this video with my coffee... thanks Brian
Welcome back to the road. Safe travels Brian.👍
Beautiful and great sound quality. Thanks for sharing.

BTW my grandfather helped build the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia as part of the WPA/CCC.
Beautiful free camping place in South Dakota. So nice
Great video! Enjoyed the colors and critters. Glad to see you in good spirits.
As always Brian❗ Safe travels

You find some very interesting places out on the road.😀✌
Mornings are always better when I have coffee with you Brian. Thanks for all the postings and sharing your adventures. "Life is good."
Lewis and Clark crossed the Missouri river just down from where our homestead was when I was coming up. The Great Falls were what brought them down river where we lived.

Sammi squirrel was cute. Loved ur video ! San Diego here !
I'm sure you're as glad as us to be done with beets !!
I bet so. He was probably glad to hit the road and "beet" it!
That Park you camped in with everything overgrown and the old Stone buildings gave me the creeps really bad. I have expect Bigfoot to come walking out of the woods straight at you LOL. Don't mind me I watch too many Bigfoot videos. 😜😳☺️✋
Glad you're back! Jamie needs help at the Van Build, if you're interested.

Nice to see you back on the road, safe travels,

So good to see you back!
Safe travels Brian! Tacos looked good!
Your videos are upbeat and of professional quality. I enjoy watching them. And dreaming.
Beautiful colors!
