I downloaded wuthering waves for calcharo and also got calcharo as my first 5 star but I ended up loving yuanwu way more after I got him as the tower reward.
He plays like a DMC character.
He is so godly I don't care if his damage is low I will main him. And yinlin is now gonna buff my yuanwu dps 😎

Lol I completely disagree. My yinlin kills everything b4 I pull out calcharo. So to act like she can't to high damage is insane.
That's the reason I'm skipping her and I'll see on a rerun. I'm not really pulling just for the tower right now and in that event where you can try her everything dies right away and then she's no longer does damage.

Nobody even said she doesn't do high damage. Just not good enough to be worth pulling on that horrible banner with the worst 4stars in the game.
I use her and calcharo with super fast rotations and swap cancels. It's very cool. Within a few seconds, both of them can deliver a lot of hits. If there's a display of how many combos are achieved, maybe in one minute it could reach 1000 combos. She's really worth it. She's fun, challenging to play and thicc as hell 😏

I was planning to save for changli since I main Encore and Havoc MC. Lost 50/50 and got calcharo instead. Decided to ignore every banner until changli xD
I played her for 6 hours on her weapon and good build on moonlight set 85/200. I agree with most of your conclusion but I want to add a bit more.
ppl dont still get that we will have AOE chambers and dps and ST chambers and dps. the next aero dps will be ST. Jian is mob exterminator the next guy will be boss killer. we do have also ranged and melee. So Jian will not be powercret in the next y.
YinLi is a bad ST dps but very good AOE dps. We will have 5 star electro buffer that will deal much more ST dmg or give larger buffs but with less dmg. still both will be viable and interchangable to a degree.
best dupport for Chixia /she is underated asf/ will be Changli. she according to least will give 20% fusion 25 % lib dmg bonus.
Lastly current teams Kuro cooks follow the rule - healer 3-5 sec field time 30 sec buffs. support/subdps 5-6 seconds field time buffs for 15 sec. Main dps 12 second field time. then you go back to support and back to dps. The Kuro idea is atm to discourage quickswaps for hypercarry teams.
Remember using Res Liberation is pure dmg gain in ToA cos timer stops during Ult!!!!
we can have dual carry teams ofc but often they will not be so strong

People say jiyan only good aoe he is mid to bad at boss. Which isn't true at lvl3-4 ult he has 300% mp every atk which is one of highest ingame. Also not to mention when his forte makes ult hit 500% multiplier a nice little burst
I felt Yuanwu was pretty good, but I couldn't tell why. It's a video that pointed out this guy is able to take big chunks of the toughness bar outta the enemies. So you get to their DPS window faster. Though, maybe you already knew that and still feel he's not worth it. I'm not a good player or anything, I wanted to share what I learned, in case others didn't know.
Summoned for her and her weapon, but ima skip and go for Changli instead since my luck was so bad.
You can hold cast Yinlin full bar spin and instantly switch to another character and marks will still apply. This works very well with encore, as she needs a few seconds of her echo on field to buff her fire damage and then go berserk. And every target with mark she hits = moar damage.
Is this "DMG Amplified by %" key-phrase (formerly known as "Deepen %") a real multiplicative bonus?
So will Calcharo Res Lib damage be multiplied twice in a row (*1.20*1.25) ?
Pulled for Yinlin as a placeholder for Changli to support my Chixia. Already have a built moonlit set but still building an Electro set in case I wanna build a main dps electro unit (looking at Yuanwu).
69 pulls and i won her .. I also got her weapon at 14 pity for me too .. Pretty good so far btw when will u upload Chixia solo all 90 hologram bosses except memphis

Gonna play the long game here saving for a Main Spectro DPS which shares the same weapon as my other 2 Mains - long wait but worth it 💪

I don't know Jiyan feel like he's doing so much more damage than all the other character right now assuming +his weapon. Also calcharo +yinlin vs calcharo + sanhua isn't that far apart funny enough.
the thing with jiyan is he is meant to be an on-field dps while Yinlin is meant to be an off field dps
I pulled for the Weapon first for my Encore had a lot of pulls left so decided to pull her since I like the way her combat looks and obviously cause she a hot redhead elf NOT a fan of her Boob Surgery since Beta but what you gotta do can't have everything after all. xD

I don't care to much about the outro skill thing...what I like about her is the off field DPS boosting my Chixia while still keeping me at a safe distance. But I do understand that for super optimization she won't be that amazing.
I also kinda like Toten guy...but that's mostly becuase he is at max copies already (and I like his shield)...sadly his damage is...not really there.
Got her in 17 pulls from 0 pity. Sooooo no complaints here. 🤣

I don't enjoy the moon set on her at all. It kills her own damage which makes her not fun in 90% of the game. With the thunder set she insta kills anything in the overworld and in instances and makes her own bursts so much more effective.
Yeah tbh, its an awful recommendation because Yinlin has off-field damage so might as well go with void to buff that and her own on-field dps.
Moonlit set is good on paper but makes her rotations clunky which could result on an overall dps lost despite juicing up your main carry. Electro set all the way!

I honestly would still have pulled for her even without calcharo I like her design and she's a solid crowd control character I play honkai star rail and my Kafka is my main dps unit
I think she fills the gap what Chalcharo lacks, AOE Dmg. Both synergizes

Anyone play HSR? IF Silver Wolf could get powercrept, so could Yinlin. Hard Skip. Sure, you can say Yinlin's is more of a support DPS, that actually makes her worst offering compare to Silver Wolf, and SW is already not top tier anyone.
I don't understand that logic... If you skip SW then pull for the char that powercreep her... This new char will get powercrept later too, so why are you not skipping this new char too ?

I pull for characters that look cool or i like the playstyle. Its a waifu and husbando collector game :-P . If Kuro goes the tof way and powercreep as crazy and you need the newest im gonna stop playing it

Remember that the auto-attacks on Calcharo ulti-form counts as auto-attacks and not as Liberation dmg, the initial dmg that he does is whats scales of the Liberation dmg.

Unlike Chixia and Jiyan, Yinlin is very clunky if you don't know how to swap and swap cancel. It's almost mandatory to have her with another dps in a dual dps setup; doesn't have to be calcharro. Meanwhile Chixia and Jiyan can dps without ever swapping. Also, need Jena to build that Taoqi/Yuanwu S6 team.

She was a terrible S6. I have her, she can't outdamage an S0 Jiyan and she's clunky. So I'm just running moonlit on her despite having S6. I would have much rather saved my pulls for Jinhsi.

Ngl I'm already gonna bench Jiyan after seeing the Jinhsi and Changli leaks. Looks like we were right about that dps will get powercrept quicker. So if I had to choose between those 2 I'd definitely pick Yinlin.
Jiyan has possibly the best grouping in the game and a literal auto-parry on his ultimate... You don't even know how the two you're mentioning play. Everyone just assumes the next DPS will be better than any previous DPS, but carries have intricacies too. They are different in terms of playstyle and utility. Jiyan might do less damage than Jinshi, but will she be able to pull mobs together like he does? Will she be able to just go into the boss and insta-parry? Maybe, but why assume when you don't have a clue

shitty thoughts I see, next characters are spectro and fire, so if u have calcharo why would u pick yin, u already have electro covered, if u forgot same mobs are -50% dmg, and usually its +30% for speific damage in tower, so the goal is to have main dps in every category
What? Calcharo is not that good by himself my guy. The main reason to pull Yinlin would be to buff him.. He got nerfed pretty hard, remember? Havoc MC is arguably better than him, that should tell you something...

Bro, has the misinfo spread this much??? Yuanwu is NOT better than Calcharo my guy. He FEELS smoother to play, because Calcharo is clunky, and his damage needs to be timed correctly. But Yuanwu's numbers are just bad compared to literally every other DPS... Please stop watching Tectone
