Having watched him 30+ times live playing last season, ruddy does certainly not have them passes in him locker
Having watched him 30+ times too I couldn't agree with you more!
Old school keeper. Good shot stopper, great at shouting instructions to the defence but he's a hoofer not a passer.
Just how many times did he kick his goal kicks straight out of play?
This guy has the same voice as Hugh Wizzy that’s crazy
Met Ruddy when he was playing every week in the Prem for Norwich in the lobby of a travelodge. I was wearing a Swansea shirt (a team he never played for) and he actually came upto me, before I had even clocked him.
was he asking you out?
Ironically John was probably one of the only players that improved throughout the season. He was doing okay under Eustace (stopped enough just made small mistakes), under Rooney less good but he was hampered by the playstyle. He was excellent though in the second half of the season. Kept us in games far longer than we ought to. Shame how it ended, would like to see him at blues next season. But I'm thinking we go out and get a younger keeper for the future, and in that case if he wants regular games he should go elsewhere. We have no goalies on the books atm though :(
maybe put the name of the person youre interviewing in the title because i know of John and what hes done but i wouldnt recognise him straight away, me personally i watch all your videos but some people might not if they dont know whos on
Agreed!
literally in the description

Non blues fans would say Rooney wasn’t given enough time yet if you are a blues fan who witnessed his tenure you would have seen a man either standing up or sitting down with his hands in his pockets not looking bothered. Never ever did he look that he wanted to be there and fight for his job. Fifteenth games to many, good luck Plymouth
100% but players didn’t look bothered either. Terrible from the manager and the players.
You want him running up and down the touchline screaming and shouting ?
@Yupthelads didn't do Pep or Klopp any harm did it. Nothing wrong showing passion
@@mrbluesky2051 still doesn't mean you have to jump around and stuff. Ancelotti for example stands on the touchline most of the time and he's European champion
Running around jumping and screaming like a crazy person on the sideline doesn’t make you a better manager 😂
A rarity, a very intelligent footballer.
Top man. Glad he’s joining us for another season
Wayne Rooney as a manager..god I feel old lol. Where has the time gone ...
What a geeza, from a wolves fan
FOZZY! Good show with John ... wr should NEVER been give The Blues manager job ... JE should have never been let go Period! But I do not own The Blues I've just cheered for them since I was Nine years old! Thanks for winning us the Cup in 11! Up The Blues KRO sotv & wr!
Great player for the canaries and a good man for the charity work he does for the forces
Rooney was told he would have time and time means being able to bring the right players in and then he was given none of that, problem was the owners sacked a successful and popular manager to bring in Rooney, which was bloody stupid.
As a Birmingham supporter, I’m aware Rooney inherited a squad of average players with no back bone or fight. I’m not sure he’ll ever make a good manager, but even Pep would struggle with that team of melts. A complete contrast to the team that won the league cup which was full of battlers and leaders.
Bullshit. Eustace, Mowbray and even Rowett to an extent got a recent return out of those players. Top half form to be exact. We went down because of Rooney's 15 games - it was never just the players
@@davidb5173 The only way Eustace got anything out of these was to be their mate. Mowbray and Rowett also struggled to get much out of them. I guarantee if Tony hadn’t fell ill, he’d have shipped most of them out over a few transfer windows. Apart from a few of them - last season were the worst bunch of players for attitude and effort I’ve seen in over 30 years supporting Blues
Yes he was clueless and his demeanor with the fans of not acknowledging them at all just increased his unpopularity. It was like replacing a manager with a novice.
Mowbray got more points than Rooney in 4 games. Rowett had to get results immediately and while Rotherham and Huddersfield should have gone better look at the clean sheets under Rowett and the difference in performance levels under Mowbray. If Mowbray hadn't got ill we would definitely have stayed up. If Rowett had taken charge instead of Venus I also think we would've been okay.
@@FutureIsBlue-tq1xy I agree that we would’ve stayed up had Mowbray remained in charge all season. Also agree that if Rowett had taken charge as soon as Mowbray was on leave we’d have had an extra 2-3 points at least. A season of poor decisions by Cook/Gardner, etc. Nevertheless, the majority of the players were the ones putting in below average effort levels for most of the season (post Eustace).
Benedict Cumberbach looks good bald.
i always wondered whether the best players don't make good managers because they expect players to be able to do the things they could do, and john ruddy's story is kind of evidence of this. in theory messi, how he reads the game and understands what's going on, could be an incredible manager, but what if he expects the majority of players to be able to do what he does lmao
😅 Wayne Rooney is so sad 😅it's amazing how e 😅 no manager no longer yes 😅no worries mate go 👍 😅 no one Wayne 😅😅 up the blues 💙 👌 😎 🙌 ♥️ blues yes
Who would've thought a kid who scored a goal of the season contender 3 minutes into his premiership debut at 16 and took Euro 2004 by storm at the age of 17 would have a good footballing brain
Rooney lived in solihull spent his days absolutely smashed with john Oshea! Didnt even turn up for training a few times because he was slaughtered
Don't do Spotify Ben .. When will the full interview with John be on UA-cam Please ?
I like Ruddy as a keeper but playing out from the back under Rooney he was a rabbit in headlights.Rooney was awful as a manager and constantly blamed the players after every game .
Im so looking forward to seeing what we "Plymouth Argyle" can achieve this season, with a rooney pre-season and a transfer window under his belt. fascinating show cheers fozzy
You will have a disaster. Hopefully he gets sacked in time for a decent manager to come in and save you from relegation.
Relegation battle
I don’t think that will be the case at Plymouth. They was the best team to play us at St Andrews and Wayne having a pre season etc will be a different case.
@@kevinpaterson3300 Hopefully Wayne can get himself fit during pre season. Not a good example to set being an overweight manager.
@@STST so that would make him a bad manager cause he’s overweight? What if youre nearly 80? Hodgson?
Absolutely disaster with Rooney at the helm sending us on the spiral to relegation. Mad season
He's just saying very football cliche in the book ffs 😂
Wayne Rooney. Football manager. Hahahaha
Does Ben reply to comment
What about his normal day to day brain?
So advanced the players dont understand it?
I'll tell you a true story about Wayne Rooney , he used to own a Vespa and his Mrs owned a Vardy
Should be a 2 second clip, answer.. SHIT!
So if he’s that good why did Birmingham drop down the league as soon as he was appointed
He literally tells you in the first part of the video
It still always amazes me to hear professionals, people who have been playing football for 20+ years, claiming that they still need coached to play a possession based game. Footballs really not a hard game. From day one you’re coached to pass and move.
What level do you play?
Football not rocket science is it solid at the back and attack with pace don’t need 1000 passes
Marcelo Bielsa had it down.
Sorry ruddy but your distribution let us down last year. Very rare your kick outs got to one of our players.
❤ 😅Rooney is madness 😠 good b bi to averaged man 😅😅 yes 😅good bi the end yes up the blues 💙 👌 😎 🙌 ♥️ 😅❤
I love this podcast however he don’t name names the players not put in a shift
Looks like a bald Benedict Cumberbatch
Ipswich Town supporter here but I find it hard not to have respect for John Ruddy. He took stick well this season too- just a shame he played for the scum.
Dion fucking Sanderson was our captain let’s start there now it’s nice to hear this but it’s bull shit Ruddy was class but he was holding back here big time in his thoughts. IMO ruddy was one of 5 Max I’d want to stay next season the rest where shit and as he said not characters at the blues or even capable
Sorry, but if Rooney is so smart, why do all of his teams he managed tank so fast? And why dies he get fired sooner than later? He obviously isn't really that good
Because his stupid and has no people skills and doesn't want to teach poor players how to play. he thinks his fergie but he will never get the time or power at a club like fergie he did.
But they still had plenty of time to survive relegation. Did Rooney even sign any players also it was probably bit much for average players.
Argyle argyle argyle
I will answer that…. WR was …. Du Du du dder…. F***ing Useless 😡

Answer: Fucking terrible
That’s rooneys problem ! Thinks he’s sir Alex Ferguson ! Not coaching the players sitting back and overseeing he would do a lot better as a manager teaching the players on the training pitch lazy guy man !
Making out the team was a bunch on farmers full of excuses
Wayne Rooney was the second best manager from a Villa perspective this season. Let’s hope Blues new boss is just as effective as Rooney and they end up in league 2.
@ECLyrical I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I honestly don't think that we can get a worse Manager than Rooney lol, just like how Villa will probably never get worse than Tim Sherwood.
Obsessed
Typical braindead villain. Any Blues fan or Villa fan with a brain wants Blues and Villa in the prem, regularly playing against each other for important points and cup ties. What good's a rivalry if you aren't competitive with each other?
Funny cuz i heard wayne didnt attend training
