This is basically how Fleetwood Mac was planning on carrying on after the “Behind the Mask” tour, after Christine and Stevie announced that they weren’t going to tour with the band anymore. It would have been interesting to hear this with John McVie on bass instead of George Hawkins (RIP).
Yes it was 2006, it was a one off thing. You can tell because Billy is still thinner here, he had major heart surgery in 2009 and has had other health issues since and has put on a significant amount of weight. Watching this and the amount of sweat coming off him compared to practically none on the other guys was a hint of his impending heart issues.
First off I know this isn't Fleetwood mac and it isn't meant to be. This cover isn't right and never will be without lindsey. However I do like it. Its the best you can do without lindsey and Christine. I also love mick. I mean love him
You don't remember Rick Vito from when he and Billy were in Fleetwood Mac from 1987-1995? Well Rick left a bit earlier, but they were great in the band, especially Rick, he's the real deal on guitar, Billy was just strummer but not much for the technical stuff, he was brought in mostly to sing and play rhythm.
@@greatunz67 I have been a huge fan since I saw Rick play in Roger McGuinn`s Thunderbyrd, shown live on TV all over Europe in 1977(RoryGallagher and Lowell George were on the same gig, but Vito won it for me) Then I noticed he was on albums with John Mayall and many others. I met him/saw him live in Norway in 2003. In 2000 he won the audition for John Fogerty`s tour back then. Of course aware of his time in FMac with Burnette, but have never followed them very closely. Check out the song "Long black car" with Rick Vito!
Just started listening to Fleetwood Mac’s rumour album ... the drums and guitars were on 🔥!
It sounds amazing in D!

Mmmm an all male Mac lead by Vito Burnette would of been like Green era again.
Happy Birthday, dear Mick

George Hawkins ♥️
He should've named the band Fleetwood Mick
Very polished band. 🤔
Curious as to what the year is on this performance. The copyright says 2006 but I was not aware of Billy playing with Mick and/or Rick after 1995.
