Oh my god, thank you so much!! I was literally so confused as I was reading the textbook because I can't for the love of god picture the damn thing in my head. Thank you thank you so so so so much!
Thank you so much! You just saved me for my organic chemistry test on tuesday! I was struggling a lot before I watched this video and had no idea how to assign R and S configurations.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your explanation on this video. I did not take science before and after watching this, I understand much better on R-S Notational System. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU :D
This was SUPER helpful. Im studying for an organic chemistry exam and couldn't get past this chapter due to getting R and S questions wrong! I can move on now!! lol. Thanks for the GREAT video! :)
so basically i can temporary assign the direction in which it goes (clockwise/counterclockwise) BUT because i switch it, i should know that it should be the opposite directions in which i switch it? (sorry if this sounds confusing)
Soo..in case the least pririty group isnt at the desired position, we shud interchange and write the opp thing na.. I understand.. bt is ths applicable at all cases.. I mean do u hav any spcl case wer ths method fails.. If then pls reply.. Anywy thnks a lot Mrs. Flynn.. It ws a great hlpp..
GOD! Iam studying Veterinary Medicine and our Chem teacher just sucks! (like I told you in a previous video) - this stuff seems so simple when I see it at home but in class it seems like hell -__-' thank you!
Yes. The higher the atomic number is, the higher the ranking will be. For example, if you had a carbon atom attached to a hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine and lithium, the fluorine would be #1, oxygen #2, lithium #3, and hydrogen #4.
what I couldn't understand with an hour lecture plus multiple hours on my own explained in less than 7 minutes, simply amazing
YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I have an orgo exam today and I did not understand chirality till I watched this video.. Thank you :)
After hours of trying to understand assigning R/S isomers, this video has finally made it click! Thank you so much!
You are making chemistry with no mistry
Just how simply you explained. Thank you ma'am
Best and simplest explanation that I've seen yet. Thanks Lydia x

Does the atomic number have any effect on finding the biggest and lowest?
Yes. The higher the atomic number is, the higher the ranking will be. For example, if you had a carbon atom attached to a hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine and lithium, the fluorine would be #1, oxygen #2, lithium #3, and hydrogen #4.
So helpful!! Thank you!
Did I hear Scottish accent? Brilliant vid.
