Just got it today...buy it now...this will be a classic. It does it all but it’s the fundamental sound of the oscillators and filters that makes it a home run,
By far the best demo I've heard of this unit yet. Still hasn't convinced me that anyone should buy one of these over a Rev2, but it's a good second or third synth :)
Are sounds like in this video possible with a Rev2? I love the sound and the layout of the Pro 3 but I would also love to own a poly synth. Don't know what to do.
I really like the look of this synth. I'll reserve judgement on the sound until I've heard more, but it sounds more like a digital synth than analog (which is not a bad thing).
I sold all my mono synths to invest in this. No regrets. Pairing with an Argon8, Microfreak, Streichfett, and MC-707. And eventually the Typhon because I couldn’t resist.
@@sergiosensation6 It depends on what you’re looking for. It’s a great wavetable synth with a decent interface, great sequencer, and great keybed. The effects are lackluster and the modulation isn’t quite on par with the Hydra. But I think it has its place. Definitely worth the price. I ended up going with the Summit, though, and I don’t regret it a bit.
Jajajaaa...Muy bien buen video y la explicación del sintetizador...otro teclado mas para trabajar y dar alegrías al mundo...bien animo con todas las cosas y vayamos todos con alegrías...
@8:24 and again around @9:04 when you swept the filter - am I crazy? I didn't hear any difference as the cutoff knob was twisted along a wide arc. I'm very interested in this synth, don't get me wrong, but that was odd. Is it possible to route some oscillators around the filter and others through it? Surely not, right? Maybe I need to check out more videos with just raw filter demonstrations to get a better feel for those tones.
Hello Perfect Circuit. I need your help about Sequential pro 3 synth. Is it true that I won't be able to play a part over the one while the Sequential pro 3 sequencer is playing? Can this be bypassed somehow? 🙏 Thank you for your helping me. Aleksei
@@somemusicfromandersjonsson938 Yes, I have the Pro 3 - even though I don't get what this has to do with my question... in case it's an oblique way to say that that sound is a preset, I'm not terribly familiar with the presets; I played all of them once, then I started programming my own sounds right away. I've made two videos with my programs for this great synth. However, that patch sounds great to me, so I wanted to know if it's in the machine - and hopefully, its name or number - without taking the time to search all the presets one by one. So - do you have an answer?
I really love this synth. A general question. I see a few comments about soft synths here and elsewhere. I have never heard a soft synth that sounds like this? Am I missing something?
Because of the unique oscillator and filter section, you won’t find a soft synth that sounds exactly like this, but there are VSTs that can make soundscapes like this. You just won’t have the fun and tactile feedback of a hardware synth.
4:30 is it just me or a reverb is being applied? it sounds more than just release or sustain.. i wonder what manipulates this reverb-ish character. sounds incredible.
@@fray3dendsofsanity Would be nice. But (sorry to bring up the eternal debate) with the level of software available today, is a hardware synth really worth it? I mean Ive just dowloaded the latest Logic and, the deepness of sound manipulation is quite impressive. The sound quality also. It's not as much fun as turning knobs and faders... but, apart from that, Im really not sure what a physical synth has above software anymore. I really don't buy the whole analog thing either. Once it goes into the DAW, it's digital, pure and simple.
@@lukehunnable True about DAW being digital, but what about people who perform live? There's a noticeable difference there. Plus, digital processing has a different sound than analog processing. If you do a large boost the EQ of an instrument in the analog world, it can sound more "airy" and open. In digital, large boosts cause nasty peaks. Same goes for a synth filter.
This sounds surprisingly great, way more hd analog than the pro 2... But not as much character as the prophet or ob 6. More versatility, tradeoff i guess... Honestly wish dave smith would just do a reissue of a 4 voice SEM... Thats my dream synth and screw all the space age options. And... As a space synth, moog one cant b touched.
Chris Trevanion I was expecting this to be at least $2,000 and surprised it’s $1,599. Although my whole setup probably costs what this synth does maybe slightly more. 2 TD3s, MS1, RD8, four TC pedals, old 1604, irig stream and headphones/cables. Probably about the same if not a little more for what I have.
Some better sounds than in the other video but excessively harsh rather than merely bright. Even at 2:42 I'd be notching that edge. It's like a cheap condenser mic - first thing to do is undo the nasty "presence peak" and then start work.
Jonas Stålblad there’s more than one to play/interact with a synthesizer. Sequencing is a perfectly valid way to play this particular kind of instrument. So it looks like you and the demonstrator have a lot in common!

One of the best demos I've heard on this synth. Found one on Reverb for $900. I'm thrilled! Can't wait!

My fav mono synth, and I have Pro 2, Subsequent 37 and MatrixBrute. Pro 3 still stands tall in that company.
Probably the best modern synth for Industrial EBM music, pairing with a Virus Ti then you're golden!
Ha! getting one to go with my Virus :)
Virus is indeed a beast but so is the Pro 3
Best sound demo i have heard so far. Thank you !
I am listening to this with my headphones on and it is an absolute trip. Thank you. What an amazing demo!!
WOW! 😮 I can say with confidence that this is the best demo I’ve heard to-date. Please sell these patches!
I would buy them.. This video also was the nail in the coffin for having my money going to this synth. :o
Absolute mastery! This is a different synth in different hands!
Really dig that timbre starting at 12:09 - lovely stuff!
Oh man, I wanted to ignore this synth so badly, but 5 seconds in and you had me. Hell of a demo.
3:53 - 5:12 I could listen to that for ages. Another Pro 3 sold.
Finally a demo that convinces me: first class synth!
Same true for me ;)
Thinking about getting one of these. This demo is certainly very convincing - great job, musicality!

Most likely. It has built on effects so I don’t see why they wouldn’t use them.

I hope they do a desktop version so is common folk can afford to have this synth. 🤣
I doubt it would be cheaper. Rev 2 keys and desktop are almost the same price.
Considering those who already have keys and maybe limited on space would benefit from a desktop version regardless the cost.
Filipe Bastos. It’s usually about a $200 reduction in price. That can make quite a difference, and also space saving
