I used it to swap a buff unit I had with a triseratops to get the buffs cause it could now tank hits. Frog is GREAT for starting with a scaling team and pivoting to and ability team

Lud, I think the frog is good as a one of. Kind of like a pill. It allows you to scale a unit early on and as soon as you want to replace that unit you can swap your good stats onto it thanks to the frog. (Imagine big Panda 50/50 and as soon as you have a vultur you can swap the 50/50 onto it and sell the panda)

The only sad thing is my level 3 crox didn't get to take out any honey badgers. It was almost all summon teams. Won on turn 18. Taking out teams in reverse order.
Hey Lud, just a tip, when you're going Cassowary, just strawberry the Cassowary itself since it's friendly pets and not friends. That way it's perma-scaling

Frog would be cracked for a Swordfish (cucumber), frog, salamander (strawberry) build with a tank in the front and a free slot for salamander buff. You would have to sell the frog late, so you might could use hummingbird instead of tank to buff salamander or swordfish after stat switch. Once velociraptor becomes available, the squad starts to ramp up, as you could put strawberry on swordfish to have him take no damage on start of turn ability.
Try this stat. Buy two of the same animal and buff one with + atk and one with + HP then combine when desired. This way you basically only recieve the bonuses from the food and not the negatives.
1 cheesy strat I love to do; buy 2 salamanders, buff it as much as you can, use a lolipop on 1 and combine them. so instead of 2 20-4 20-4 you will end up with 21-21 salamender. Level 3 frog is also super fun, just pass the stats to a character with good ability. There are really good Level 5 - Level 6 pets and having them spawn with good stats is just super good.
Doubt you care if I say any of this, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway. If there's one thing you could improve on, it's that you need to focus on positioning way more often. I watch these as I pass out every night and watch you lose rounds that you would have won with better positioning. It happens a ton. Then I never remember to comment in the morning. Haven't watched this one yet because I'm making sure to get my comment in before I lay down for once, so don't know if it's a problem you have here, but it has been in most (if not all) of the other uploads. Also sometimes you seem to get it in your head that one pet is great and get stuck on that when it's not helping you and same for the reverse, avoiding pets that would be great with what you have available. Either way I love the vids and they help me chill before I pass out every single night. Much appreciated content.

When you were rolling for the hamster you should have just bought the hammer head shark that popped up because hamster gives you 2 gold and hammer head shark gives you 3 gold per lvl 3 which you had 1 at the time and later 2. Love the video very entertaining.
Using a lollipop on the salamander definitely hurt you. The swordfish should have more damage than health and that with a green pepper would make more sense
Lollipop on a salamander is a meta strat if you’re using the salamander. Oh I see what you’re referring to, yea it was a bad play since he didn’t buff the salamander up anymore
when youre doing early strawberry u have to go HAM on it. you gotta freeze kiwis and humming birds and go all in buy/selling the kiwis onto a donkey or seahorse or something. also iguana is a trap in pack 3. youre lucky you didnt get one on the first run. the push snipe is worthless. Better to just build up stats. the ideal scenario is to buff up a panda with strawberry units so you can pivot onto a better unit in the midgame. but if u cant its not rare to have a 25/25-35/35 tier 1/2 in the midgame and start building a better unit
@ludwig you should try okapi frog and see if when the frog swaps stats from a strong okapi that if the animal it swapped it for would keep the buffed okapi stats just a thought
I like this game but I gave up on playing it, im just terrible, never made it past 5 wins and consistently will get only 4. At least I can get to see what its like from the VODs

The frog swaps at end of turn at level 3, meaning you can swap 2 pets stats PER TURN. It can be really good and you get to keep the frogs stats!
