Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2019 is better than the 2023 S-Class - hope some of you can relate

- I drove the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2019 and here is why I still find it better than the 2022 S-class.
I feel that the looks of the previous generation are a lot more royal and elegant than the new one, I love the interiors of the old one, simple, easy to use, and classic.
This is my personal opinion, and I am sure there are gonna be a lot of people who would relate to my thought process.

Totally agree with you.. The W223 looks good and techy, but the previous gen will always be "The S Class" ! Such a timeless Elegance on wheels

Have had a 2008 W221 S320 in my family for about 8 years now, the tech on that car for what is now a 16 year old vehicle is kinda crazy.

Btw I had a question about buying a used Merc S class...typically when you said never buy a used S class, particularly the ones that are kept in showrooms, garages and least maintained, does that apply for Petrol version (In this case, buying a used S class petrol) or it's just the Diesel versions as diesel engines have to be run daily for the best maintenance whereas petrol need not require much startups if you don't drive that much?
Yes, it has to be running both petrol and diesel, in fact it’s not about the engine alone, the air suspension and the electronics…

when you said that you need to drive the car every day because of suspension failures if not driven every day, is this true because I can't see anything related to this anywhere?
Personal experience, plus feedback from service team, any car with air suspension or high electronic sophistication, better to drive it on a daily basis, cars are meant to be driven daily. If u drive these luxury cars on a daily basis it's the best maintenance you can do for these cars

The best S class was W221 which was much more better than W222,W223 and Even W224.

Wrt S Class, This is sort of a CURSE with all S-Classes. When a new generation launches, people cry for the previous generation. This had been the case when W222 was launched. People started criticizing W222 and kept saying W221 was much better looking and grander, and all. This would most probably be the case when a W224 will be launched in the future.
Regarding the iPad like screen, I agree that in pictures, it looks gimmicky and seems like a departure from the classy interiors of usual S-Classes. However, in person, it felt really good and somehow gels with the overall character of the car. I had taken a test drive of the car and personally felt this.
In my humble opinion, The only major difference was in the ride & handling. The ride felt slightly better in W222 while the handling felt slightly better in the W223.
