Salute you I do! That was a most palpable presentation , I felt your passion. As a kid I rode my bike under the singing/story lines of a Southern California Edison Green Belt Easement. The long sustained Zinging Hissing sound I heard had an occasional Tick or Pop well those were punctuation. The commas and the periods so this kid thought. Thanks for the ride down memory lane. Regards in kind.
I think they're Cat G16CM34, nat gas units. The engines aren't really in my wheelhouse though. The generators are 6 MW each, synchronous 12.47kv. They are owned and operated by the City of Geneva, IL (my employer). The facility is rated at 30 MW. It shaves peak and also generates for profit.
@joecummings1260 10 pole, 720 rpm. Engines are 16 cylinders. They were designed for cruise ships, primal movers. They've been converted to run nat gas.

Lol.. I wish they didn't take so long to produce. Thanks buddy. I'm glad you liked it.
I really appreciate this video! :D
Glad you liked it. ✌️
Cool vid! Those lattice towers are definitely 345kV-500kV. Can't wait to begin my line apprenticeship.
They are indeed. Insulators give it away. 18 bells = 345 👍
If you don't see bundle conductors it's bellow 345 kV
3500 Cats? Is that a peak shaving plant?

@@MegavoltHomeschool 10 or 12 pole.? That's really big for a reciprocating engine generator. Love your videos BTW
