ERRORS: Bar 12 to 15 - Shift everything (starting with Eb) over by half a beat Bar 26 - First note should be G# Bar 57 - beat 2 should be a D Bar 65 and 66 - triplet should be between B and C. Bar 114 - Beat 4 should be an E
Holy fuck - Jeff Hamilton immediately catching that Wynton lick heading to cut time and the entire band following before seamlessly returning to normal?? Extremely impressive
Another example of why Wynton Marsalis is a National Treasure. He should have his own Secret Service detail. Thanks for your work on the transcription!
Fantastic in ALL aspects. I mean Wynton Marsalis and I mean the Transcription! However ..... I Do NOT understand the connection with Louis Armstrong in this "Portrait".
Классная идея с расшифровкой партии солиста. К сожалению, нотный текст без акцентов и синкоп, очень плохо читается... И тут возможно размер такта не 4/4, слышен явный "затакт"... Может быть 4/4, но из за такта
During this performance, the band inserted an open solo section for Wynton at the top of "Portrait of Louis Armstrong", but I believe the chords are not following the progression from the rest of the chart. It's quite possibly just a concert G blues, but I'm not certain.
@@clarisusa open ur ears mate it’s almost the same there’s just the F before the final G that changes to a Bb, except this slight difference it is the licc
ERRORS:
Bar 12 to 15 - Shift everything (starting with Eb) over by half a beat
Bar 26 - First note should be G#
Bar 57 - beat 2 should be a D
Bar 65 and 66 - triplet should be between B and C.

A damn good transcription anyway!
@@NotBroihon Thanks, added it to the list.
Measure 9 is a half beat late as well
Bar 17 - first note should be A
bar 25 - first note should be D
Bar 50 - A should be on the third beat
Bar 113 - beat 4 should be Eb
Fourth note in bar 28 should be Eb
Thanks for transcribing this. At long last I think I can finally play along with the first 8 measures

One of the many reasons Wynton is one of the best trumpet players to ever live.
yes, sir you can do that!
That’s a baaad man right there!
What does the symbol on top of the E in bar 46 mean?
How can I download this pdf? Thanks
Forgive me, but I think beat 4 of 114 should be a rip down to an E
Yes, you are right! Good ear, thanks for pointing that out.
thanks eric zeiborg. Signed, adam smith
Great job! What do you think about transcribe wynton’s melody phrasing and solo on the theme?
He doesn’t play on the theme of this rendition so it would have to be a different one if you wanted to hear it from wynton.
missed a note beat 2 of bar 12
forgive me, oh wise one

It reminds me the changes of Django Reinhardt tune Minor Swing !
