I was on the fence about focusing on Sketch or XD, but then I saw this video and decided to double down on the latter. Thanks for a quality concise video, I will sure check out more.
Question: is XD for building smartphone apps only or also for website? Either way, is there a means to migrate the design to Wordspace or Squarespace after it is built? Or how does one turn it into a real smartphone app and/or a real web app? Thank you.
From what I'm getting: It's for designing ui and ux, so yes, it can also be used for websites. After the design process is completed, you then have to make the actual project based on that design.
I def need to start digging into XD! Ran into a designer friend at starbucks the other day and he was designing a client layout design on his iPad Pro via XD and all kinds of amazing finger swap box, text, image elements in seconds
Hi howard, impressed the way u explain. Can i get ur complete video tutorials of this Adobe XD course expert level.kindly let me know.waiting for ur reply.
I believe the Repeat Grid is an awesome feature, but rarely can it be used as efficiently is in this and many other examples available out there. 1. You would need to type in the restaurant names in the txt file. Sure, it can probably be generated by some plugins or an online tool. But anyway. 2. You have to match the title and the image somehow. Even if it can be random to some extent - like profile pics - male/female names have to be matched with the pic.
Nice vid Howard! I have one question though, this means that we don't have to program in HTML and CSS and Javascript anymore, since Adobe XD already has everything? You could even connect it to your phone and voila
Ok. ALL IT has a bias to graphics interface design, which is fine, cause we think and work like that. But it would sure be nice if we could have something like this for sectors like governance, legal, community services, civil society that would allow us to graphically implement and keep track of various data that is currently basically stuck in an excel spreadsheet or database. Seeing it like this makes it a lot easier to visualize solutions
Amazing video! I am really struggling with sizes and scale when it comes to using a possibly different phone to prototype and preview. And if I also wanted to share the project how would I make sure that the people trying it won't have cut sides or black sections? Thank you in Advance!
Thanks, very concise. I started using it recently and enjoy it so far. Currently, I noticed they update XD more than any other Adobe program right now.
HI, ONLY wonder how to apply the XD you done on a website ? Long time wonder how this work / true is can only be open in a XD Mobil App / and NOT many people NOT have the XD App - // Hope I can clear this out - long time wonder how to do .... ;) ...
How well do you think it would handle dropping about 200 500x500px jpgs into that repeat grid? Thinking it might be good for yearbook design in photography ..
Is XD really a replacement for Sketch? How would you get "assets" and information to a developer similar to how Sketch works (anything a dev would need to complete the project)? Thanks for video
Not sure about the replacement but it is a direct competitor of Sketch for Windows Users. And I clearly remember watching a video where the person showed how he shared his design to the developer and the developer added comments about some stuff and such. I dont remember how he did it, but Im pretty sure that one of the recent updates of XD had this feature.
The program is O..K I like to use it to mock up wireframes, if they implement a code section to it like bootstap studio then this program would be killer. I just hope adobe doesn't do stupid stuff like exporting to their servers only.
I am new to adobe. I basically edit video and photos. I look at your post because I thought you were going to tell what XD was because your title says that. 👎🏿. I’ll look elsewhere. Thanks for taking the time to show that you know XD.
Pardon my ignorance... but, would this basically, completely replace web design apps such as Adobe Muse (which was terrible anyway)... is this for web? Or are you just designing interactive interfaces for programs like muse? I'm a little confused (and a bit ignorant as well, sorry)
Never used Muse for designing web UIs but XD seems to be a really nice app once u get the hang of it. I have seen many designers use XD (and Photoshop/Illustrator) for web design. They mostly used XD and maybe for logo/some photo manipulation they used Illustrator and Photoshop. Give it a try. I once read a comment that said Photoshop was the best tool for web designing and now XD is replacing it.
No, Adobe has gone to a subscription model. It's $10 bucks a month for Adobe XD or $50 for the entire Creative Suite. Usually only worth it if you use the whole suite or make your money off the program. I would compare the Figma and Sketch pricing.
Omg that monitor 😍
Mr Feel Good Alienware 😻
Dear Heaven, that monitor is the first thing that I seen and it had my attention instantly. Lol
I was so impressed with your demonstration I installed the app and am now about to begin my first XD Project. Great job Howard!

Your XD tutorials are extremely useful and your presentations are awesome! Thank you.
whau! Super explained with the right speed. Excellent!
So XD lets you generate many graphical pages and prototype some actions. What's the next step to hook these graphical elements to code?
There's currently no coding capability in XD, so an engineer would likely have to take the designs/prototypes and work their magic.
Yep, and that is what UX/UI Designers should be doing! They are not coders. Thank you Adobe and Howard again. @@HowardPinsky
@@HowardPinsky you mean there is no need for coding in adobe XD?
Hi howard, impressed the way u explain. Can i get ur complete video tutorials of this Adobe XD course expert level.kindly let me know.waiting for ur reply.
Happy to see you getting back with videos
Hopefully more will come! Life has been busy busy.
ok, this is pretty impresive, not gonna lie
Does Adobe Xd support adding Google ads within the app during design?
And thank you very much.
Ummm, wow! Had no idea I had an app that did all of this! Thanks for the great vid and explanation :)
So good!
Once you've designed the app on XD, what's the next step to actually create the app?
Coding
just press the create app button!! (that's a joke BTW)

my mind is fucking blown. the possibilities of this is endless.

Cool screen, Howard!

Very helpful, thank you!!
Thanks for the video =)
What happened after that XD prototype? Would you send it to Dreamweaver for full production? Or would all that need to made made from scratch again?
yeah i dont know either
Thanks for the info! I had no idea what XD was for.. this is going to be fun!
And all this good jazz is totally free :)
Well explained! Thankyou
Amazing video!

don't program in pixels
you awesome 😘😘 thank you!
So this software is only for layout preview, right? this software will not generate css HTML and js automatically correct?
Thanks, very concise. I started using it recently and enjoy it so far. Currently, I noticed they update XD more than any other Adobe program right now.
Does it have version control when you have to deal with changes and keep track of them inside the design document itself
Versioning is coming later this year alongside live co-editing.
Hi, in XD is possible to upload different prototypes for different customers using different links?
thank you! ill try this out! and do you have a nice suggestion for android plus ios app programming?
Our company uses adobe ps to create mockups to show to client. Should we consider xd, Considering everything works fine with psd..
Is there a place where we can download your art boards from this tutorial?

You made my day; thanks
Contrary to the title of video, you didn't say "what is Adobe XD"? I am confused. Is it app design tool, app layout design tool, of graphic design.
Garbage video.
I think it's design-oriented WYSIWYG website creator.
Its Adobe Experience
Would have been better if the "Mmm, Pasta" and "Burgers!" had been properly associated with the right image (at 2:06)
Love video thanks for information
Helpful. Thanks.
After is already functional to IOS or Android platforms to download or is necessary algorithms after XD prototype?
Thanks ❤
Awesome stuff
How well do you think it would handle dropping about 200 500x500px jpgs into that repeat grid? Thinking it might be good for yearbook design in photography ..
That's a good question. Maybe I'll try it out and post a video. "Trying to break Adobe XD". ;)
500px is half mobile size standard now so think of it like 50 mobile fullscreen images. Would be fine I think.
What monitor are u using? looks awesome!
It's the Samsung CHG80: amzn.to/2KIbS5m

I want to marry the person who made XD. Even if it's man. It's wonderful.
God bless Adobe, imaging programming this software
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
omg 😱that monitor ,😍😍😍
This program looks really interesting. If I would become an app designer, XD would come in handy.
It's pretty decent, and Adobe has been updating it every month with new features.
Wow! How I wish we had all these features in XCode!
Any way to import them to XCode or something?
Not at the moment, but hopefully something they implement in the future.
Thank u!
This is very helpful! I am a graphic designer, but starting to step into UI design. Would love to see more XD UI/UX design videos.
Thank you
Is xd recommended for websites?
Can i use it to design MVP?
The program is O..K I like to use it to mock up wireframes, if they implement a code section to it like bootstap studio then this program would be killer. I just hope adobe doesn't do stupid stuff like exporting to their servers only.
very very cool
Amazing
a ryl nice app, but it needs a to have a export to html/css function.
That would be a great addition!

You look like toddler in how I met your mother. Lol....great tips. Thank u
What the different between fireworks and xd
wtaf this app is insane

Sick Screen...

cool
WHEN ARE WE GETTING MORE PINSKY GAMING VIDEOS!? We need you to play something OG... like Mario... or Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past... or Spyro...
Hopefully soon! Life is still pretty nutty right now. :)
🤯
👍👍
all you had to say is that this is a app builder lawd omg
is Adobe serious? xD
seriously.bro
xDDDDDD lmao they can't be serious.
Short for 'Experience Design', but doubles as a great emoji. ;)
It is a little better than "ED" haha
@@HowardPinsky at least its not "Adobe 😂"
As a developer who want to learn design and to build prototypes, this video makes me hard. :)

Xd
If only Adobe would add the coding automatically through designing.
I don't like to code, it's not my cup of tea.
gurl
Adobe WTF?
i still have no idea what the purpose of this application is
Im new to xd so far I've been working with ps, ai, InDesign, after effects and light room. But is xd basically figma?
👌👌👌
