Thanks for this reaction. Dan is singing his heart out and like you said he is funny. I rewatched this several times to watch the bass, tenor, alto and soprano parts and then it is even better😊

Thanks so much for another reaction to Dan Vasc. Dan has referred to this song as a moment of insanity. We can't imagine how long it took and how many times he repeated them. I believe he has said that there were many more layers (tracks) of this made to incorporate into the song. He can hit even higher notes than he did in this one. He recently stated that the last note in I'll Make a Man Out of You was probably his highest note. I would love to hear your reaction to his cover of My Heart Will Go On. He transforms this beautiful, but sad, ballad into a powerful metal anthem and it is glorious to behold. I look forward to your next one.

Fun reaction. Dan worked so hard to put this together. I enjoy his funny expressions Notice the orange background. He was doing this in his first old bedroom before he moved to his new studio. That was a small room with a black cloth on the back wall and two lights behind him.

Yes! He most likely recorded himself even more than 24 times, and took the 24 best. Dan is awesome and I've heard he has at least a 4 octave range. You may want to react to his Wuthering Heights cover which is sung very high. Praise God for giving Dan such a great gift! He doesn't see it as talent, but just hard work but he has to have a God given gift to have had something to work with. Thanks so much for your great reactions to Dan!!

👋 from British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
Coloratura soprano are the highest notes.
Dan's singing those notes brings back memories of my choir days. I loved singing Handel's Messiah. I was a Coloratura soprano.
I grew up singing in Church choirs.
I'm in my 70s now. How time flies. I was 28 years old when I learned that part.
Once my voice started giving up, I learned how to sing with my hands; by learning sign language 🤗 Yes, I still sing non verbally 🙌
God Bless you and yours 🙏

Wow! Your musical history and mine are quite close! I'm 74 now. I was 14 when I learned the coloratura soprano part. I was still singing that part until about 2004 (when I was about 55)...then along came rheumatoid arthritis and hit my whole body extremely hard, bending me forward so much, that for years I couldn't sing at all...except for my BASS range! In 2017, both my hip joints were replaced, and I can now stand upright again. I was fighting hard to get back even a semblance of my upper ranges, until suddenly on April 9, 2023 (just two days after Dan released it), I heard and watched Dan sing "Amazing Grace."
I started watching him carefully (every day), and working with HIS example, to begin bringing back muscle memories that had forsaken me after so many years of sheer PAIN, disfigurement, and sadness about not being able to sing. I also had started working on playing trumpet again, a year before that, which helped bring my diaphragm back into shape, and help me to re-learn how to breathe correctly and manage a long column of air in order to hold out long notes and phrases once again. I also had to defeat two register changes that had USED to be SO easy for me, that had completely disappeared from my abilities. I'm still struggling with those from time to time, but I keep thinking of Dan's posture, and how he uses EVERY bit of himself to bring forth his wonderful voice. He inspires me, every time I hear him, and this is one of my favorites to watch, just for that purpose.
Two weeks ago, I hit and SUSTAINED Dan's highest note in Amazing Grace. I haven't tried to SCREAM it yet, but I will. I'm simply enjoying the renewed musical life he has brought back into my physical life, in general. Hallelujah! 😀

As you have no doubt figured out, Dan is a believer. And it shows in his hymn covers, and in the way he conducts himself. Yes he lives in the very dangerous rock world, and he, like King David, can get a little feisty from time to time, even flipping a one figered peace sign in one video, and he can play some bad dudes, (and lassies), but you know he's just role playing. Two recommendations...I'll Make a Man out of you" from Disney's Mulan and his Star Spangled Banner.

Also, when (not "if," I hope) you do the Star Spangled Banner reaction, you should already have pulled up his next video in line (by date), which is VERY SHORT. It's called, "An Apology." Listen carefully and don't jump to conclusions. 😀

Loved your reaction to this masterpiece by Dan and also your salvation invitation, my brother in Christ. From what I understand, Dan did something like 270 takes & only 24 Dan's are shown, but there are just too many to fit in the screen. As one who sang this often in H.S. Choir as a Soprano 1, it blew my mind when I heard Dan hit those high notes when I first heard this as a new Dan fan in latter December (2023). Gives me chills every time, much like his Nessun Dorma & Time to Say Goodbye do, but this was an incredible feat to attempt & he did successfully knock it out of the park. 😊

Amazing production with Dan doing everything it took to get it done. He is incredible and he manages to inject his quirky humor into it as if there isn't already a lot going on. How does he do it? 24 times is right you got it. God is King!
