Apparently, Lead isotopes are the end products of radioactive material, I wonder if the residual amount within the lead tube is Lead's own radioactivity? Also, it would be fun to see if that large plate of Lead and perhaps, a large reel of Lead/Zinc solder radiates? Interesting video and fascinating subject. Have yourself a great Xmas and an excellent new year.
The girls used to lick the paint brushes to try and keep the fine tip straight, I'm sure i saw that on a documentary on manufacturing of clock and watch dials.
Is the lead in that of the pre-nuke test kind they get a fortune for when they pull a bunch off an old Roman tradeship or whatnot? I know that stuff is, or can be, insanely expensive due to the the fact it doesn't give off it's own radiation. Super fascinating how the tube works. I can only imagine how much that thing must have cost when it was new.
Happy holidays! Thank you for all the time you put into your videos!
Have you considered making audiobooks or ASMR content? I’ve had a rough day, and am completely relaxed now. Thanks!

Incredible, a radioactive radiation spectroscope the size of a chocolate bar - we're not far from Star Trek anymore!
And next time, we look at the app for the Apple II

And don't forget that it was a medical device... price x3 !
@@PlaywithJunk You're absolutely right, lol.
Low-background steel I’ve heard of but lead? Huh.
