Welcome to UA-cam Tom, I’ve yet to add a video. I have exactly the same bike as yours and have been customizing with add-ons from Traxxion and Wingstuff. My only issue with my three month old bike is the seat. I already had the Wingsoft modification installed, but 90 minutes in the seat and my butt/pelvic bones are telling me to get off. I’m going to bite the bullet and send my seat in to Russell Day Long. My last bike was a CanAm Spyder and no comparison to the Goldwing experience. Good Luck and safe travels.
Nicely done. This was a long awaited addition to help protect an awesome machine. Max did a great job. Nice job installing the product. Please look into his belly pan or Wingstuf’s belly pan. Congratulations on that beautiful machine. Ride safe.
@@ericpurdy6880 Great question Eric! There is an authorized Installer here in North Texas not all that far from me. But tend to think the originating creators, the engineers who developed and created the product would make the best service provider. I could be very wrong about that. In any event. I am curious to demo Max’s shop bike and would entertain a tweak if I gave that “wow affect”.
@@robertlorentz3670 Hi Robert! Staying warm over there I’m sure. Here in Fort Worth it’s been a Fall overcast but nice. 51 tomorrow. I really like the drop protection idea. Those familiar know Traxxion is quality fit and finish. Just not a fan of the price. 4 pieces $100 each. $400 total plush ship. I do understand the high cost of start-up, with development, tooling, etc. Thinking I’ll wait on this. Many years ago I dropped my 1984 GL1200 in my driveway. It had OEM engine guards. No issues. That was then. I’ll 🙏🏼. Stay frosty.
I have the exact same bike; I was looking into installing this product and after watching the video and seeing how easy it looked to be installed, I will be purchasing this Traxxion product. Thank you for the video.
I am glad that this video helped you. This is very easy to install. I would recommend that you also view Max's installation video at Traxxion Dynamics. Fortunately, I have not dropped the bike, but hopefully it will work as billed. I watched the videos of Max dropping his bike with this installed and with no damage. Ride safely!
Agreed. As one who was in the market for a much smaller moto, or just a nice scooter, this bike stands out on the showroom floor. Unbeknownst to me, I'd have a used bike in my own garage just weeks later! I'll be looking at into this. Good vid. GL1800 rider forum got me here. Safe riding.
Hi there. Thanks for sharing your video. Robert White Photography suggested your channel so I visited, I watched and I subscribed. Great content and congratulations on your new Goldwing. She sure is a beauty. Ride Safe out there.
Congratulations on the new bike. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about it as you get more experience with it. Interesting product, not sure how protective it will be when needed but definitely better than nothing. Will check them out.
Nice video Tom. Max did a great tutorial on installation but seeing someone out in the world following his directions puts his to a test of understanding. If your bike doesn’t have a TD belly pan currently, buy and install one. Max did a brief YT video showing pictures of my TD belly pan that I sent him as testimony on its value.
Like the easy installation. What can you tell us about those ‘riding pants ‘ you have on? I think I like those. Oh yeah, Great bike, mine is blue. ( add more lights, these aren’t as easy to install, but will make you more visible!)
I have had those riding pants for several years. They are from Tourmaster. They have knee protectors and hip protection. Mesh panels allow good air flow in the summer. Came with 2 liners one for warmth and one waterproof. Also a big feature for me it that it has a fly, which not all of my riding pants have.
Love it Tom! Congrats on that amazingly wonderful motorcycle. The next protective device to consider is a Belly Pan. Wing Stuff or Traxxion has those. You mentioned your motorcycling passion, then you might already know about some of these awesome and fun Channels. If not Subscribed or aware of, check out the Gold Wing titan Chris Caliente, F6B_Adventures, Robert White Photography and Cruiseman. are some of the consistent contributors. Thanks for your helpful video. Max’s protective kit really does look great. BTW, your yard area looks mature and much like my area. I’m in the HEB area. Where are you? Safe travels. Many miles of smiles. Look forward to meeting you one day. ATGATT.
Congrats to your new bike, it looks fantastic! Can you ride it right after installing the protection kit, or do you need to wait for the adhesive to become strong enough?
THe Products are good, Just so expensive for what you get. After a tip over you will need to bend all the deformed parts back into shape using Max's bending tool. I really wish the GW had a simple crash bar
Well, I am not going to test it intentionally. The saying goes: "It's not a matter of if you are going to drop your bike, it is only a matter of when." When I drop it accidentally, I will let everyone know how this worked. In the meantime you can see the video where Max McAlister dropped his bike to test this at: ua-cam.com/video/ngVYJPMdJ7U/v-deo.html
Well, Max had a video where he did exactly that. However, I will not tip my bike over intentionally. If (or when) I drop it accidentally, I will post the results. :-).
Wow! I'm honored... the first accessory you installed is our Tipover Protection Kit! Thank you and good luck with your new channel!

I have Traxxion suspension…Max makes great stuff. These will go on this winter
Curious if you had Max do the suspension...or, an authorized installer other than Max...trying to plan the best way.
I live just north of ATL and went to TRAXXION Direct @@ericpurdy6880
