Looking good Sir Dylan
Thank you!
Great progress!! I never got my head wrapped (pun intended) 4-in-1 maille. I did something way different, but the closest I could come to a pattern, was either a Persian, or half Persian maille. Looking forward to seeing the end product. 😀👍⚒️
It took me 3 days of trying to finally get the 4-1 right and stitched together with the main piece but once I got it it went pretty easy just time consuming.
I’d love a part 3, I really want to know the last part
I do not know if you check the comments but for the scull cap section to your brow how many from the original 9 did you go?
I’m pretty sure I went 10-12 more rows to come down to my brow.
@Safety 3rd Forge so if you were to do it in your method of hanging it you would start with between 19or 21 loops
@@dark5402 yes I believe so! What I did was after I made the center part I just kept adding rings until it fit my head good.
It would be better to do larger ones for normal people
..is this your new thinkin hat?? hahaha! couldn't resist. You got more patience than me for sure. It looks Cool as all get out...!!
Well I’ve had to do plenty of thinking while making it!! Lol. Yea the patterns and puzzle aspect of it makes my OCD happy! Lol. Thank you!
I'm starting to wonder, how comes you didn't explain how to bring down the sides ? Or of it is necessary to do the 4 in 1 down the sides? I've added some rows the way I have been and they're bowing backwards very confusing and quite upset I've got to undo all my rings potentially 😔
I can not find part 3. Did it never happen?
It hasn’t happened. I am still hoping to finish the series but other things got in the way.
@@safety3rdforge245 it's all good man. I just got into this hobby and really liked your videos.
@@VonDorn1887 thank you! Yea I am really hoping to get back to making videos soon I really enjoying doing them. There just needs to be about 3 more hours in a day. lol.
@@safety3rdforge245pls create part 3!!! i’ve just started but annoyingly my links are weeny so it’s very fiddly. your video is the only one that rlly made sense on how to make it and was so clear with it hanging-such a good method!!!
Where does it go from being a hexagon to a circle? Mine is almost down to my eyebrows and ears but it's still a hexagon.
As you had extra rings in each row it should start to turn circular.
I hate to be that guy but I thought a skull cap was worn underneath to pad your head and you have fit the coif to your head not with a skull cap. If it’s just costume it doesn’t matter but if you want to spar with this I’d add a skull cap
Yea this is just for looks and practicing the techniques. It’s also only made out of aluminum so not super tough I eventually will make a functioning set of mail though.
@@safety3rdforge245 ah didn’t catch it was aluminum
Yea I forgot to say that in this video I was going to do a reminder but forgot. Lol.
The part you're referring to is called an arming cap and with his being aluminum you could get away with a pretty thin arming cap just to keep the closures from snagging your hair.
Awesome thabk you very much
Your welcome.
When will part 3 be out??
Hopefully soon. I’ve gotten very very busy with customer orders!
No 3rd video?
It’s still in the works. I haven’t really had time to finish yet. But I am hoping soon.
@@safety3rdforge245 roger that thanks for the videos, I'm sitting here in France at 2am with a half completed coif on pretty cool I learned from you so thanks !
No problem. I am glad they helped!
This was a great video, I reallly learned a lot from Part 1, you showed the best way to put together the triangle pieces, I'll retry w the coif I disassembled, you've given me hope, if you post a part 3 pls let us know =) thank you.
For sure I am hoping to get caught up on orders and revisit this.
@@safety3rdforge245 sounds great sir thank you, btw I was up until 3am but i was finally able to fix my coif, i still struggled a whole lot but I appreciate your help, without your video I would not have been able to do it =)
Awesome! I am glad it helped!
