When people are selling from fear, you should be buying for increased value. And when people are buying, you should be 'holding' your investments into perpetuity.
Basically, people have short memories and don't learn. Exploit their behavior and you can profit. I'm a buy and hold guy, but I do occasionally dump extra into the market when it tanks.
Used to think investors lose out amid crash, meanwhile some make profits. I also thought folks went out of business during the great depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some while others amass wealth gains.

well said, in my opinion, times are crazy now, hence everyone needs a sort of financial planning in order to thrive forward. ideally, investment advisors are the best reps for getting the job done
@@purplebliss6875 Many people underestimate the value of advisors until they make emotional decisions that backfire, no offense intended. I recall a few years ago, during the COVID-19 outbreak, when I needed support to grow my business. I did some research and found a highly qualified advisor. Fortunately, they helped me grow my reserves despite inflation, increasing them from $350K to nearly $1M today.
You forgot the long-term debt cycle like the Great Depression. Complete your graph and show it going down.

I’m 53 and have about $225k liquid in savings which I plan to put towards becoming a homeowner, but based on the current high prices on real estate, do you suggest I hold from buying and look at dividend paying stocks instead?
after studying the trajectory of great assets like real estate, dividend paying stocks and gold, my conclusion is to buy and invest in what you can afford today! working with a license financial specialist can certainly help
Agreed, I'm in line with having a fudiciary oversee my day-to-day investing, cos my job doesn't permit me the time to analyze stocks myself. Thankfully, my portfolio is well diversified and has just 5X in 5 years, summing up nearly $1m as of today.

Personally, I've stuck with ‘’Annette Louise Connors” for 4 years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, you can confirm her on the internet.

Maybe you'll have better luck at the beginning of the week next week. Don't give up!!!! When you find a job make sure to start saving right away no matter how small. It's tough out there keep holding that line. I'm currently working and my dividend income has surpassed my job's income because I got my mindset to saving like I was going to lose my job tomorrow. Now if I actually do lose my job I would start pulling from my dividends and would still be able to easily meet my monthly bills like nothing happened, but I currently just reinvest my monthly dividends and continue growing my portfolio until I need them. I do keep dry powder in my savings account to meet immediate financial hiccups. I really do wish you the best in your job search and be patient as I empathize with you.
