I had the good fortune to meet Bruce back in the 80s. I built a sun deck for him at his apartment over a fish market on College Street. I shot some hoops with Hugh Marsh. Those were days back in the day. Good times. Bruce has always been a light in my life since I first heard him.
Man, Bruce is in fine, fine form here. You can feel his joy playing with these two; Hugh Marsh being a long-time, brilliant musical ally. Stunning performance!

I’m American, and have been following Bruce since 1979 (I remember ordering his lp records straight through True North Records). No internet/etc back then of course, so I had to do research- called a few operators, finally got a phone # for True North- they sent a xeroxed synopsis of Bruce’s back catalog: Like hitting the motherlode! 😅.
The only albums I could find of his in California was Dancing In The Dragon’s Jaw, and Circles In The Stream…
Thus began my journey with this guy!
First concert of his I attended was during the Stealing Fire tour (which included a lot of songs from The Trouble W/Normal, and Humans). The Marsh Bros on violin and Chapman Stick, Chi Sharpé on drums… oh my goodness it was wonderful! Fergus Marsh saw me tarrying around the stage at the end, and took pity on me, “Would you like to meet Bruce?”
I guess I’ve seen Bruce in concert more than I’ve seen anyone else now. Just saw him last month at McCabe’s Santa Monica. Bruce Cockburn- what an inspiration. ❤️

I can see why people are drawn to him. His voice sounds like Eric Clapton's.
