That is just an awesome set up. Thanks for sharing. I've got to get one of those dumper dogs. I'll have to mount mine on the back of my flat bed on the truck but that is a great idea ! Thanks for sharing !
Thank You, I appreciate it... I don't know if I'm living the dream... Took lot's of work to get this setup and accounts.lol But investing into a nice setup is totally worth it!
1. Isuzu NPR, cab & chassis with dovetail: -half the length, no trailer licensing/tires. -ultra-tight turn radius, infinitely safer on roads and higher degree of maneuverability -shock-based gate assist: tiny footprint, doesn't take up rail space 4. Stihl/extreme racks-Both are top notch and we've yet to find better! 5. Turf Tiger II (if available)> John Deere: TT II's torque transfer and overall build are superior. Go clamshell for increased bagging efficiency. 6. The modified tool box: I really like that!!! I will be constructing smaller renditions for our use. Very good idea! 7. The dump bed: that seems unnecessary. Apart from cost, I suspect a dedicated dump trailer would be more effective and efficient at most jobs truly requiring a dumping mechanism (mulching, brush/plant matter removal, etc.). At the point we would justify a dumping mechanism, we would be justifying a dedicated landscaping crew and dump trailer anyway. This seems like you are building hybrid crews AND hybrid equipment. Our experience has proven the need for focus and design towards that focus, and while we like hybrid crews as stopgaps, hybrid equipment is often allocated inefficiently. E.G. I speculate the dump bed would see more billable use on a dump truck as part of a landscaping rig, and I suspect a shorter trailer/no trailer would streamline a mowing operation. Those are my thoughts. Will view your other videos to see operational status so I can make a more thorough exam. Andrew, Pristine Lawnscapes,LLC
I like these purpose-built trailers. I keep most of my small gear (blowers, trimmers, etc) inside the topper on the pickup. Keeps it more secure and out of sight, and protects from the elements. Pesticide backpack sprayers and product containers go in a locked box over the tongue, and the trailer itself is divided into two halves. Front half has a folding side access ramp for the mowers, and the rear half is a dumper. The weight distribution takes a bit to get used to when the mowers are loaded and the dumper is empty, but it's not that bad. The main advantage to this setup is that I can easily back in and dump, rather than taking up a huge amount of space to dump at the side. The front of the dumper section has a removable panel allowing me to carry long loads across the entire length of the combined halves (like 12' 2x4's), or if I need to help a friend move his stuff.
Really nice setup sir. It's good to see such a young man so focused on your goals and pursuing them.Never mind the haters out there, you just keep moving forward. Some people are just that way. When they see someone doing good things they hate. It reminds them of their Lack of accomplishments. Keep growing!!!
Nice trailer setup. I have a Bad Boy 42 inch with a 22 horse Kohler engine, 2 Husqvarna 22 inch self propelled push mowers, 2 Stihl trimmers, Stihl blower, Stihl chainsaw, and Redmax hedge trimmer. Have a pole pruner saw and a pole loper. I do mostly small residental, if I upgrade to some bigger properties I'm thinking of going with a 52 inch SCAG stander for those. Hope you're having a great lawn season.
Very nice setup. Like the way this one is done and it doesn’t look like you cut any corners either. As long as this is what works for you and is the most efficient for the properties you have then go for it. Looks great!! Keep up the good work.
Anyone else here notice that all he talks about is how great his stuff is and how he is the best. For being 16, sounds like he is a know it all. Maybe he should spend more time listening then talking about how great he is. You don't see anyone else doing this, but kudos to mr. Perfect.
Also, I'm getting a Zero turn pretty soon for some land that my dad owns, I have narrowed it down to John Deere or the SCAG so, I was just wondering on what you thought. Please do a review on your mower.
The side dump trailers we been making for 15 years you can park a mower or whatever in dump box. I load kabota with bucket and brushhog on trailer with bucket and front wheels in dump box
been in the business for 35 years. never bought all new equipment ever. you have to cut a lot of grass my friend to pay for all that new stuff. good luck
I would suggest more advertising. Have your truck wrapped. Everywhere you go you want Sullivan to be seen. The only time it's being seen is when you are pulling the trailer. Plus you can deduct the mileage off your taxes as a work truck. Something to think about.
Very nice set up. I have a couple of suggestions for you. 1. get a plastic battery box, mount it in the tool box you have, just to keep the battery out of any bad weather. 2. I'm assuming you have electric brakes, run a wire from the small battery to the big one, put a diode in the line so you will not back feed the small battery, this way you can keep the big battery charged up. Where is your spare tire for the trailer ?
Very nice setup young man and I hope business is booming for you! couple of suggestions I wonder why with the weight of the dump box up front limiting your weight carrying abilities why you wouldn't have made use of the fifth wheel setup you already have in place which would have taken away all concerns with weight? The very least I would add some airbags to your rig would greatly improve handling! Also keep an eye on the trucks brake and fuel lines that are notorious for rusting and rotting out and blowing out at the worst time! I have 2 Chevy's like yours and it happened to both so I know what I'm talking about! Don't know if you live in a snow area but something to keep an eye on for safety sake for sure! otherwise great setup and very well thought out! good luck and take care!
Thats whats up man. Like seeing more ppl care bout their setups. I run exmark lazerz x series. Gravely prostances. Exmark commercial 30 push. 21inch toro personal pace. All 130 stihl trimmers with edgits. Echo chain saws. I have work trucks i waited 10 yrs to but actual work trucks if u ever get a chance to do it best thing i did. U dont no how bad u beat ur good ones up. Enjoyed buddy
Nice set up man. My dad and I run 3 John deere Z950's with Mulch on Demand. if you get another JD, I would highly recommend the mulch on demand feature. less clean up and huge time saver.
You really do it big in the states. I thought my 12x5 trailer was big. UK is all about vans. trailers are for ride on mowers and green waste. Nice setup though!
not many have this large of a rig. many in my area run a 36 to 50 and haul them in a van with trimmer racks inside and a 22 to 30 pusher. many of our areas have truck restrictions (no truck parking even for price pickups) so a can is the loop hole.
Looks good, i would recommend a solar trickle charger on your battery. They are very inexpensive and its nice to never have to worry. Also put a clip in that trailer hitch ;)
My question is. How much weight can you put in that dump before that chevy is pulling a wheelie? I been wanting to do this for awhile but concerned the tongue weight would be an issue on the truck
On the Dumper Dogg it says it can hold up to 6,000lbs but that is just a reccomended amount. I'm sure it can hold a lot more. We blocked the back end of the truck up and did some mods to it. I pull over 30,000 lbs with this truck all the time on the farm using the fifth wheel. I'm sure i can pull a lot also with the ball hitch....
Sullivan Lawn Care work your way to the top? you mean your parents wallet?? haha i cant imagine you worked your way up to all that solo. quit lying you don't even know what the "bottom" looks like
You're not going to like what those racks do to the trailer rail...mine cracked inside 6 months...everything is mounted on extensions now...pretty bad ass trailer tho! Looks killer!
I see plenty of guys on my mowing routes with a push mower, trimmer, some people can edge with the trimmer so they don't need an edger. Blower, chainsaw and hedge trimmer and they make damn good money and that's all they do for a living. They pull $25--$40 for just mowing the lawn and extra money doing chainsaw work and hedge trimming on the properties. It all adds up.
so do you actually use that for production. or just marketing to be honest that is a tremendous amount of money for just looks. I couldn't own that nobody would work for me, I would be to anal about scratches and dents. and also the way you mounted that weed eater rack it may lock but can it be easily unbolted from the Trailor. I would keep the dumper on the truck and have bought an in closed Trailor
very nice trailer. The only thing I would suggest would be make that phone number larger all along the frame have multiple places for a large phone number along the frame
Hi guys, I've got my own lawn care business in Scotland and been doing it for 10 years. What I notice is over in the states nobody seems to use cow bars on their trimmers but just the D handles. I'm just wondering if theirs a reason for this that I've missed. I find that if I don't use cow bars and a harness it kills my back. Any thoughts on this one.
Over in the UK we call cow bars handle bars that are bent up wards with a throttle on them. A strimmer with them on it you would also use a harness with it.
cow bars? Im guessing that it is the handle bar style your talking about. I have both kinds and use the cow bar for cutting brush with a metal blade. I only carry that when I have to because its large and bars are a pain to deal with. The stihl 94r had a D grip on it and is lite and well balanced, easy to store on the truck without getting hung up on stuff. Trimming only takes a few minutes.
Willie Smith jr the best thing to do is last out tons of flyers in your area. I've pasted out over 2500 and I now have 50 yards each priced between 35$ and 40$ roughly cutting 30 yards a week. That's not even my full time job.
where i work and live our company charges around $150 a house its all about quality of the work other people see the yards we even underbid other companies and take their houses !
+Sullivan Outdoors I am 16 as well, I can tell that you have worked hard for what you have. You are very inspiring! Keep up the good work! Check me out on Instagram @jcslawntips
It's called a waste of money. For Lawn care you need a 16ft maybe an 18 ft. A 52 In zero turn, a 32in walk behind, a push mower, 2 trimmers, and 2 blowers. If you do a bunch of commercial properties I'd have another walk behind that's 52 inch, then you might need a bigger trailer.
You didn't get a SBA loan from bank. You got the cash from family. I'm a real-estate investor and know all too well how banks work. And there's no way you took out a loan unless you have 24 months proven income,. Or $20K already in the bank and ant to borrow against your own money at low interest rate.. No car loans and credit card loan. FICO for sba loan 680+. They will offer a cc card the very most. And last. Looks like you didn't even use the equipment ll brand new. Somebody hooked you up and it want a bank dude.
Make sure u stock up on a bunch of those plastic connectors for ur Kombi unit attachments. They will start to crack and break after awhile and they are really cheap to buy but keep a half dozen of them on u at all times. Once u get busy enough dump the kombi unit and buy a single unit trimmer and a single unit pole saw(pole saws have their own built in extended unit) it will save u a ton of time and headache down the road. Not a bad set up for a starter upper though 👍
Not that efficient of a set up, though it does look nice. You have no side access to get the lawn mower out, you have to take the big mower out to get to the small one. You lose a lot of real estate by having that tool box mounted on the floor. Dumper insert is a neat idea but not that practical since it's such a large trailer. If it were me I would have put a side ramp in for small wheeled equipment. Made custom brackets to mount the tool box on the side wall or front wall of trailer. Installed a trash compartment in the front in lieu of the dumper and used a leaf vac with hose to empty it nightly. Makes it much easier than trying to dump it. Would have also sprung for an equalizer hitch and electric breaks. Those tires look used and worn. Either you had old tires on it when you bought it or they aren't the right size for the trailer and application. Impressed with your set up though.
How many did you have your first year and is there alot of competition in your area I want to too my company but i don't know how many customers to expect my first year
My first year of lawncare, I had about 10 yards between the neighbors and friends. I then realized I could make great money doing this, so I went around my town and the surrounding towns hanging fliers. That really paid off, and know I have about 60 yards and growing! Totally recommend putting out fliers...They will pay off. As of right know there really isn't any competition because I have my area locked down pretty well!
What makes u put the dump on the trailer and not the truck wouldn't it make more sense so u have more room on trailer for equipment a and then u can use it for mulch to if its in truck
I put the Dump box in the Trailer so I can just unhook the trailer and have everything on it. I also use the truck for many other uses besides lawn care. So the dump box would be in the way!
great set up for a young man . where do you have your first aid kit? you must really have your shit together . if I were your dad I'd be damn proud. good luck !
nice set up But, doesn't put you at commercial vehicle status??? dot #'s,company name on side of truck, medical card, safety equipment, 4 point tie downs on all equipment. Looking like big $$$$ fine to me
David Kaisershot if he's a sol prop business like if Sullivan is his last name he doesn't need any of that monitored dot shit. plus he's not over weight.
The company tax listing has nothing to do with whether he's classified as a commercial vehicle or not. it's the GVW of the trailer and truck. Plus he's for hire, making money with the truck and trailer. Those two things classify your commercial vehicle status. Is he for hire.... yes Is he over 10k GVW.... yes = commercial vehicle
Sorry, But you are wrong! It has nothing to do with your tax filing status. Two very separate issues. If you are in the operation of a business with your vehicle, you are considered a commercial vehicle. I don't know where you operate, but in Mn you are a commercial vehicle if your over 10k GVW combination and in the operation of a business. Some states if your under 26K they don't consider you a commercial vehicle, so I'd check with your state patrol office
That is just an awesome set up. Thanks for sharing. I've got to get one of those dumper dogs. I'll have to mount mine on the back of my flat bed on the truck but that is a great idea ! Thanks for sharing !
Thank You, I appreciate it.. Hope you got some ideas!
it's amazing how many people throwing shade on this young man's setup. Damn!! congratulations sir. nothing but well wishes to you.
Thank You, I appreciate it.

very nice setup . I would definitely recommend tie-down and straps. I'm pretty sure you have break-a-way on the trailer.
I like these purpose-built trailers.

I like the dump on the trailer, real time saver.
I must say that set up is very impressive....
Thank You, I appreciate it...
Sullivan Lawn Care how many accounts do you have by now?
24' trailer + 22' truck = 46' of street curb space required. Add another 6' when the ramp goes down to unload the mower.
Good point h
Hummmmm
Yeah very good set up but only for team specified in huge fields!
that is a great setup. nothing better than Stihl 2 cycle machines and a John Deere zero turn. my dad just started his lawn business!
Very nice setup. Like the way this one is done and it doesn’t look like you cut any corners either. As long as this is what works for you and is the most efficient for the properties you have then go for it. Looks great!! Keep up the good work.

He is talking about how good and reliable the equipment is.
MOST PROFESSIONAL SETUP I EVER SEEN...VERY NICE BROTHER...
All the haters commenting lol. Set-up is nice man, go make that money!
Also, I'm getting a Zero turn pretty soon for some land that my dad owns, I have narrowed it down to John Deere or the SCAG so, I was just wondering on what you thought. Please do a review on your mower.
Yes, I'm planning to do a review. Totally recommend the John Deere. You will not regret it!
go scag you won't be sorry they have a better cut than the John deeres
great set up brother. you should be very proud of what you got going on.
IKR I dream I'm having a setup like that
The side dump trailers we been making for 15 years you can park a mower or whatever in dump box. I load kabota with bucket and brushhog on trailer with bucket and front wheels in dump box
super professional looking
nice and clean keep it up with the good work.
probably the best set up in UA-cam.
Thank You!
been in the business for 35 years. never bought all new equipment ever. you have to cut a lot of grass my friend to pay for all that new stuff. good luck
Mike M nothing wrong with buying new less headaches you know what you get plus warranty if you have the accounts it's a good investment
I would suggest more advertising. Have your truck wrapped. Everywhere you go you want Sullivan to be seen. The only time it's being seen is when you are pulling the trailer. Plus you can deduct the mileage off your taxes as a work truck. Something to think about.

That is a cool trailer i like it alot and the addition of the dump is a big plus!!
Nice setup. Love that dump dogg Sweet man. I have similar stuff, just few yrs older. Keep the vids coming. Like the channel bud...new sub.
Good luck with your business kid. I’m glad you went into lawn care and not public speaking.
Hilarious haha public speaker I'm going to be giggling about that for a good bit.
YOU'RE A BEAST BRO. YOUR OWN BOSS. KEEP IT UP. THIS VIDEO HELPED ME BTW.
Like that trailer set-up. Recommendation---Make the rails taller around the dump system.
Yes, totally recommend it. You fit more grass and leaves that way...
Wow sounds like you have awesome equipment as well... Thanks for the tip! Thank You
What's your overhead?
Wow you're awesome with that awesome trailer. One day I hope to be like you. I just have junk stuff right now.
that is a work of art congrats sir
Thank You! I appreciate it...
Nice set up man. My dad and I run 3 John deere Z950's with Mulch on Demand. if you get another JD, I would highly recommend the mulch on demand feature. less clean up and huge time saver.
Thank You, I will keep that in mind when buying a new Mower!
Love this setup buy a wright stander
Thank You! Wright Standers are awesome...
Nice my friend! love it!
Thank You!
fantastic setup best I've ever seen very nice
Thank You!
All I see is more success in your future, great job!
Thank You! Very Inspiring...
You really do it big in the states. I thought my 12x5 trailer was big. UK is all about vans. trailers are for ride on mowers and green waste. Nice setup though!
Thank You, Great Information... Did not know that!
not many have this large of a rig. many in my area run a 36 to 50 and haul them in a van with trimmer racks inside and a 22 to 30 pusher. many of our areas have truck restrictions (no truck parking even for price pickups) so a can is the loop hole.
Gotta have the huge trailer guys. That dump feature is fucking boss tho.
Nice setup. I suggest placing a lock box in the bed o store fuel, mix, etc..., do some wire management and put the battery in a box (plastic?).
Would love to see a 2017 Set up video
Looks good, i would recommend a solar trickle charger on your battery. They are very inexpensive and its nice to never have to worry. Also put a clip in that trailer hitch ;)
Good idea, Never thought of that! I will for sure look into that! Thank You...
Your trailer is like heaven Omg
Thank You!
lookin good as always bro!!
Thank You!
Super cool set up, plus it always helps to be organized. I would like to see a fuel system on the trail.
Put the dump in the truck then you can raise the toll box and put it where the dump box is and you can put som this under the tool box
vary nice setup how many yards do u do in a week usually
I do about sixty yards a week by myself this year. But this fall I hire employees to help me with leaves because I can't keep up...
how much do you charge on an average lawn?
$40.00 on most of my lawns.
my company builds trailers with dump boxes built in like you got there. we been making them 10 years.
Joe Smith what is your company called?
cool trailer who makes the trailer
Dude show us a up date. What you would do differently if nothing at all lit us know thanks. I'm thinking about JD are you sell happy with
How many extensions can you use at a time with the Combe system?? Several?? Only one?? How much extra length with each one?
I use 2 extensions and recommend only using up to 3 at a time. Each one has about 4 to 5 feet in length!
Makes my set up look like a crackhead made it.
Very nice setup I'm trying to expand my business do you have any suggestions to help me out?
That dump box is a great idea !!!
Thank You, I like it a lot!
I just saw a video of a kid that had a bicycle and a homemade wagon and a used push mower now I'm watching this guy brag about his trailer
lol. Start small, go big.
You start somewhere and than you work your way to the top...
You guys should consider getting a Ventrac that has a dump collector
How do y’all do much jobs like placing mulch or bark in flower beds? Have any videos of that?
people who read this you don't need a big fleet u can just have a truck, push mower ,edger , trimmer , blower
Yes, there's nothing wrong with that. Just think BIG!
Yes, good way of doing it...
whats the advantage of using an edger over a trimmer.
Vicky C. S. Laursen edger is more neat and tidy and straight and does a cleaner gap
so do you actually use that for production. or just marketing to be honest that is a tremendous amount of money for just looks.
Thanks for the tip!

Derek Ferguson what's a cow bar? Never heard of it.
reach under trees easier, dont have to swing the hips when whipping the grass
Over in the UK we call cow bars handle bars that are bent up wards with a throttle on them. A strimmer with them on it you would also use a harness with it.
cow bars? Im guessing that it is the handle bar style your talking about. I have both kinds and use the cow bar for cutting brush with a metal blade. what is the size of the trailer? what is the weight rating on the axles. I'm a landscaper I love this setup
Tandom Axle Utility Trailer/24ft long and about 8ft wide.
Sullivan Lawn Care who is the trailer Company
Neels Trailer Outlet in Elmwood Nebraska
beautiful setup!
Thank You
Very nice setup, any advice on how I can get more customers for my lawn care business? Please reply
Willie Smith jr the best thing to do is last out tons of flyers in your area. I've pasted out over 2500 and I now have 50 yards each priced between 35$ and 40$ roughly cutting 30 yards a week. That's not even my full time job.

I run super lawn care In NZ and am walking everywhere but that will change when I get a Holden Colorado and that mint mother f*cken trailer nice job
oooh man I love your trailer 👌👍nice
Thank You!
That is awesome! Now you just need to get a leaf loader and build a leaf box!
Yes I really want to before fall time... Good Idea!
+Sullivan Outdoors That is a great set up! You should be very proud of yourself!! How old are you?
I'm 16.. Started a business a few years ago and it kind of has grown into this! Thank You!!!
+Sullivan Outdoors I am 16 as well, I can tell that you have worked hard for what you have. You are very inspiring! Keep up the good work! Check me out on Instagram @jcslawntips
Ok Thank You, I'll check it out!
where did you get the money for the $40K trailer?
Michshnly It's not a $40k trailer. It is closer to $20k
where did you get the $20K?
its called a business loan.
Somebody hooked you up and it want a bank dude.
do you like the stihl sprayer?
Yes, I love it but recommend the Stihl SG 20 over the Stihl SG 51. I would rather have that but the SG 51 is nice too.
Now thats a nice setup bro!
Thank You!
I don't think he said guys enough in the intro
Does that mower scalp much?
Yea the dumpster should be in the truck.
Trailer is two years old... Trailer tires are fine! Thanks
don't listen to this guy. you did a fine job on the trailer, you should be very proud of it. good luck !
Thank You! Love your videos... Huge Fan!

I'm planning on it. Thanks for the tip!
dang that's pretty good how many years have u been on your own
About 6 Years and I still love it!
Nice rig buddy.Just got me a John Deere Z915E 60".Where did you get the backpack blower rack?
Great video. I am just starting out and would like to know how you would price out a job like that?
meh, that side dump wastes a lot of space that could be used to haul more mowers. put a dump insert in truck bed instead mabye??
brad lynch the side dump trailers we build the side dump box is built in. so you can park mowers in it when not dumping.

TheRealFOC exactly!
What a beautiful set up
Thank You!
Nice set up! just subscribe keep the videos coming trailer size
Yes Big Plans and awesome videos for the Future! Thank You!
How did you afford all of this or did you take out a loan? Im debating on starting a company but only have so much to get started.
Pretty jelly of that trailer, never had luck w/ John Deeres' though

But, doesn't put you at commercial vehicle status???
dot #'s,company name on side of truck, medical card, safety equipment, 4 point tie downs on all equipment.
Is he for hire.... yes
Is he over 10k GVW.... yes
= commercial vehicle
David Kaisershot incorrect my friend.
Unless plates state non commercial. One of my duallys is a 12k plate that states non commercial
